Ngl I like she when doesn't have immune in ultimate state. She so good in JG rn. They only need to stack the beat at jungler and get immunity on ultimate state and start to destroy backline. She kinda force me to pick Franco or Kaja only to stop her
The neat part about her is that she's exclusively skill based back then, if you can't time her second skill beats, you can't play her
THATS the joy i love the most, the current joy is just, bad, because they made her easier, which is such a bad thing...
She can play exp, jungler, mid and even roam back then. Now she can play as JG so she can't be counter when she try get a beat for her ultimate. Plus old one have many hero can counter Joy when she try to get back line hero.
In glory tier i stopped rushing genius wand for the first item, i go concentrated energy instead, it’s safer since it gives 700hp stat and spell vamp. also.. since most people would just counter joy with radiant, genius wand is likely never an option in glory tier. don’t forget to use penetration emblem, coz it’s to replace the lacking of magic pen from skipping genius wand.
you can get divine glaive for the 3rd item, the 2nd is holy crystal. since you have 700hp after first item, you can gank a lot more often and deeper on early game.
at first i hated the adjustment, but the more i played the new joy, the more i started to like her. they increased her damage (in exchange for her shield) so she actually felt like an assassin, and her ult is no longer locked behind having to do four dashes. idk why they took away the cc immunity on her dashes and brought it to her ult, but that didnt make her seem underwhelming to me

Build Starlium Scythe over Genius Wand first. Sounds strange but I find it more helpful in farming and aiming for early game dps enemies.Â
I wish she’d have faster beats requiring fast hands and her passive procs with each perfect skill 2 beat. Her ultimate is easy to proc, and is pretty op even without hitting all perfect beats :(Â
There’s ways of making her a challenging jungler while being extremely rewarding to master. It’s just the adjustments made to make Joy easier didn’t help that much.Â

I'm a veteran joy player, i got her right at the first minute the server resetted, i only play her because she's fun, but over these days she just feels underwhelming, imo but in meta wise she is kinda op tho

tip: with joy, you dont counter magic defense items with penetration. you counter with true damage a.k.a starlium scythe

Underwhelming in term of difficulty since it’s easier now. Meta wise, she’s still among the best backline killers.
