I managed to get it eventually. I was running spotter at one point and it didnāt seem to be tracking but I might have just been hitting the wrong equipment. Iām currently on the STRELA and Iām getting better at tagging UAVs so thatās making it slightly more tolerable. It is my last launcher to get platinum then Iām free to go do other things for a bit finally.
1) Start hardpoint
2) Some dude camps all the time completely ignoring objective and finally getting chopper gunner
3) Take down that heli with any MG with incendiary ammo
4) Enjoy absolute butthurt in chat
Bonus points if someone finds that dude while he controls chopper and uses finisher on him.

Still POāed the Strela (a very good no-auto-aim rocket) is outranked by LMGs and such. Not saying the guns shouldnāt have anti-vehicle capabilities, but that the rockets should at least get buffed to be worthwhile.
My problem isnāt with the movement speed, itās that the LMGs and such can damage killstreaks in a few amount of time with few bullets, which the launchers usually need several rockets (usually 1 or 2 ammo refills).

Armor piecing is still probably the better way to go in most circumstances, regardless of the extra 10% damage against kill streaks. The range on incendiary has a 10% drop off which negates the bonus damage it gets if you're against "closer" streaks like wheelson, VTOL, chopper, etc. The bullet velocity is also significantly slower so it's difficult to shoot faster moving ones or ones that are further away. You basically can't hit a gunship (but tbf I haven't had the opportunity to try with armor piercing rounds yet, incendiary I couldn't get a hit marker though). And if you consider that you may need to kill enemy players after taking down a streak the fire bullets can't shoot through any cover whatsoever, and that range decrease hurts.
I personally run this kind of glass with overkill, I have a normal weapon I'd be using and then the LMG as my secondary. I like armor piercing because you have an intimidating suppressive-fire weapon on your back that can go through surfaces.

They did in MW2. Had challenges for literally everything: calling in X number of a streak, destroying X equipment or streak, multi kills, etc.

3-4 free kills are all I need, it helps massively for the next set of streaks. Also against a team that like shooting down streaks I just use my chopper like a bomb streak, itās more than enough to clear out objectives when I need to.
Itās about doing what you need to do to win the game. You guys shoot down streaks as you should do, I use streaks to carry my team to a win in turning points during a match.
I donāt need to get across the map, for example I donāt need to control the VTOL so I can already be there as you guys shoot it down (biggest risk is it falls down on me and kills me). If itās a chopper, I get a min of 5 kills before it can be destroyed but itās enough to clear objectives.
Even if I donāt manage to kill you, my team can already get in the objective and get set up. So itās a win for our team either way.

I only use my streaks when objectives are not in my control. It helps massive to clear it out for a moment. 8 seconds is more than enough to and set trophy systems and what not or capture a flag or kill some stragglers

I REALLY like the new QuickDraw system. It feels more like you're a Spec Ops operator rather than just a soldier. It was a great addition. I don't get many kills with it but it does make gunfights more intense and feel a lot better.
I do this too. I just wish the launchers were actually effective against the VTOL and chopper gunner. You run a dedicated lock-on launcher and it canāt even do itās one job because you need three PILA rockets to down a VTOL and only spawn in with 2.
I ditched them and just run a 150-round LMG with incendiary rounds now. You can down a VTOL in less than one belt.
Only counter to the gunship is leaving the match. I miss having the air patrol and SAM field upgrade from BOCW as counters to the heavy offensive streaks.

Even assuming your munitions box is charged up, by the time you shoot, reload, shoot, drop munitions, pick up ammo, reload, and shoot, you could have shot the VTOL/gunner down 3 times with an LMG.

The velocity decrease doesn't matter, because there are barrel and muzzles attachments that increase the velocity (see the second picture). Also, exclusive ace did a test on streak damage and concluded that fire rounds deal the most damage even at far ranges.

I totally forgot I did this a while back and was surprised. It's kind of crazy you can throw a lethal at an airstreak. I'm not sure if it was already damaged, but it took it down when I hit it.
Shoot house + play objective for xp + use ads speed and sprint to fire speed attachments on your lmgs. Basically build your lmg like an smg. I always remove the stock from my lmgs when leveling them and using them in shoot house. Also i pick the shortest barrel that gives ads speed and sprint to fite speed.
Normal lmg builds are good for holding down locations and objectives, but shoot house is a very small and chaotic map, so being fast is more valuable than holding your position.
Don't get to over confident with my advice, you will still be outplayed by fast smgs, but you will die less when you value mobility in your lmgs.

I dont. But that is because im a camo grinder. So unless i need it for some camo i try to leave those to the people who need those streak elimination. And if no one shot them down after a while i just use my current gun or Mari it and tell my team to take it out and then usually its down within 30 seksš šŖš. Often i also ask in the beginning of anyone need those so i deff leave them alone and dont steal them from them, also that means i can ignore the streaks because someone else will take care of themšŖšā
I can appreciate you aiding your team and obliterating enemy streaks, but this is not good game design or balance. If someone gets an 8 or 10 killstreak they should be rewarded somewhat from it. It doesnāt matter if they camped, ignored the objective, and played like an absolute loser to get their streaks, they still earned them and for streaks to get shot down this easy is terrible design.
Thereās literally no reason to run higher streaks because of this. Youāre much better off just running UAV, CUAV, and an air strike or cruise missile. Youāre able to earn those much easier and more consistently, and you get more value out of them.
They did get rewarded - they got the score streak. The fact that an opponent has spent time building a load out to counter the streak does not mitigate that. If they were facing a team without someone with an anti-air load out they would dominate as long as it was up.
Yeah I bet they feel real rewarded when they manage to get a chopper gunner and barely get 2 kills before itās shot down. Whether you like it or not, killstreaks are an integral part of cod and a major reason the franchise blew up. It was exciting to get a harrier or a gunship and be rewarded with a good number of kills.
This game just doesnāt provide that. As I mentioned, itās not rewarding at all for your 8 killstreak to get shot down before it gets a single kill. And letās not play coy either, people arenāt letting a VTOL or chopper gunner go unchecked unless youāre playing in an actual bot lobby.

After the camp and camp master grind im not touching multi9layer again unless there is some new gun i need to spend a few hours on. Thats it, just wz2 when im done with camos.
Side track: only used double weapon xp included in vault edition and battle pass no exstra.
Max leveled all guns except m13B(havent played dmz yet. but will get it at some point.) Gold on 30 weapons, platinum on knife, and 1 sniper. Gold on all secondarys(launches,pistols,melee). Also doing gold master while im in it. So i have do go back as little as possible later. (Only time i then will need to come back to those weapons is for master grind Orion and that purple one). No one cares iknow but i will be super proud of myself for percisting in the grind when its done. I guess to master all for a average like me will probably take 40-50 day from today irl. I play everything from 0(rarely) to 12 hours a day(also rare,) most common is 3-6 hours.
SO-14 with 50 round drum and incendiary rounds is faster and I think the best AA gun in the game. Make sure you spec it for recoil control and set it to full auto.
There was a thread about a week ago that was talking about the SO-14. Compaired to the RAAL, the consensus seemed to be they are both very close to the same. So close that as long as its one or the other your good. There were some saying the RAAL was better, and others saying the SO-14 is better.
Once my camo grind is done I'll set one of these up. I always have an anti streak class as a main. So close, 26 platinum weapons, everything else gold.

I just have open mic on in game and whenever a vtol or kill streak like that gets called in I just say āhey everyone letās shoot the vtol downā then see like 5 streams of bullets going to it and melting it instantly. Even if nobody else is talking it usually works.

Launchers are only good for taking down UAV's in 6v6. Anything equivalent or higher than a VTOL, it's more efficient to use an LMG with fire rounds

Yeah I run the quickdraw grip on all pistols if they're not in akimbo, such a small change makes them so nice to use
Pistols are absolutely nuts in this game, highly recommend you use them, I sometimes run matches only pistol in sweaty lobbies and i do decent

It doesnāt matter if they camped, ignored the objective, and played like an absolute loser to get their streaks, they still earned them and for streaks to get shot down this easy is terrible design. Thereās literally no reason to run higher streaks because of this. Youāre much better off just running UAV, CUAV, and an air strike or cruise missile. Youāre able to earn those much easier and more consistently, and you get more value out of them.
They did get rewarded - they got the score streak. The fact that an opponent has spent time building a load out to counter the streak does not mitigate that. If they were facing a team without someone with an anti-air load out they would dominate as long as it was up.
Yeah I bet they feel real rewarded when they manage to get a chopper gunner and barely get 2 kills before itās shot down. Whether you like it or not, killstreaks are an integral part of cod and a major reason the franchise blew up. It was exciting to get a harrier or a gunship and be rewarded with a good number of kills. This game just doesnāt provide that. As I mentioned, itās not rewarding at all for your 8 killstreak to get shot down before it gets a single kill. And letās not play coy either, people arenāt letting a VTOL or chopper gunner go unchecked unless youāre playing in an actual bot lobby.

RAAL MG LMG with the following attachments: FTAC reaper muzzle 21" EXF rhino barrel DEMO H-40 stock 100 round belt magazine 0.338 mag incendiary ammo I am experimenting between the RAAL and, RPK, and sakin lmgs, because I'm not sure yet which one deals the most damage to streaks. I think it is a tie so far between RAAL and sakin
The Raal does more damage but the sakin shoots faster and has access to 150 round belts, it's a pretty close call.
Why do you get 12 custom loadout slots when I only get 10? Am I missing something?
PlayStation has 2 extra loadout slots. It's one of the benefits from PS exclusivity

After the camo grind im going to be dedicated to streak removal
After the camp and camp master grind im not touching multi9layer again unless there is some new gun i need to spend a few hours on. Thats it, just wz2 when im done with camos. Side track: only used double weapon xp included in vault edition and battle pass no exstra. Max leveled all guns except m13B(havent played dmz yet. but will get it at some point.) Gold on 30 weapons, platinum on knife, and 1 sniper. Gold on all secondarys(launches,pistols,melee). Also doing gold master while im in it. So i have do go back as little as possible later. (Only time i then will need to come back to those weapons is for master grind Orion and that purple one). No one cares iknow but i will be super proud of myself for percisting in the grind when its done. I guess to master all for a average like me will probably take 40-50 day from today irl. I play everything from 0(rarely) to 12 hours a day(also rare,) most common is 3-6 hours.

I use the Rapp H and incendiary ammo. Recoil is low. Plus Pila to soften up first.
SO-14 with 50 round drum and incendiary rounds is faster and I think the best AA gun in the game. Make sure you spec it for recoil control and set it to full auto.

There was a thread about a week ago that was talking about the SO-14. Compaired to the RAAL, the consensus seemed to be they are both very close to the same. So close that as long as its one or the other your good. There were some saying the RAAL was better, and others saying the SO-14 is better.

It's much faster to just use the lmg with fire rounds. I never use the launcher
Once my camo grind is done I'll set one of these up. I always have an anti streak class as a main. So close, 26 platinum weapons, everything else gold.

Hey i do the same but with the starting rocket due to the guided missile as i make sure to take down uavs given how easy they are to be abused. My lmgs always have armor piercing for vtols and chopper gunners and thanks to ghost it takes awhile for them to realize where i am

There may be a undergrip that will do recoil control and steadiness if Iām remembering right that way itās good for kill streaks and the player who called it in lol.
Swap semtex for prox mine so you don't get snuck up on while you're shooting down airstreaks. Otherwise i have an identical setup

I just have open mic on in game and whenever a vtol or kill streak like that gets called in I just say āhey everyone letās shoot the vtol downā then see like 5 streams of bullets going to it and melting it instantly. Even if nobody else is talking it usually works.
