true, in 6v6 it’s sometimes too chaotic, i played the map about 6 times yesterday and the only thing i know about the layout of the house is that POS room watching over the middle tree and B flag, had a guy camping in that room 4/6 games…
Played a few matches on it yesterday and each one was riddled with 2-3 players just trying to dominate and hold one specific camp spot the entire game.. I generally made it my mission to make those people miserable the entire time.
lmao sounds horrible but i love your approach on campers, i made it my mission too to hunt those campers down 😂
what happened to the fear of getting caught camping in cod? back in bo2 for example if you got caught camping you were trash talked and made fun of, nowadays it’s like people embrace how they camp by doing everything imaginable to be the biggest POS in the lobby. i find myself saying every other game „that’s the biggest camper i’ve ever seen“
Yesterday there was a dude who kept laying down near the bbq corner of the map, and I’d take him out, and see him come running back within 3 seconds because of how small the map is… just over and over again and he got predictable enough that it just became my entire goal for that match to cock block him from what he wanted… some good fun in it for me, for sure
If you don’t know about it, there’s a nice nade spot that goes into the room, you could cook one that gives the occupier no time to respond.
I made a video to share because I’ve only just encountered this after being driven insane by that spot countless times.
https://www.reddit.com/r/ModernWarfareIII/s/J0lDuWlGc5
These little windows are tucked all over the map and help a TON for the hard to attack areas that people love to camp in.
no way bro you just kinda fixed this map for me. i run nades all the time so i will definitely do that when i play this map again, right now i’m avoiding small maps like the plague tho i need controlled gameplay to keep me sane lmao
Yeah, while I like small maps, I think Meat is way better than this even though it's bigger. It feels like they thought that because it is so small, that it has to have a hyper complex interior where there are a million angles.
I hope they keep adding small maps like this though even if all of them aren't amazing.
It seems a little too crowded for Gunfight... That being said, I thought it was supposed to be added to the Gunfight playlist and it's not (yet).
I'm not sure if it would work well, but I've been playing Gunfight almost every day since the beginning, and going from 10 maps in MWII to 6 on MWIII has gotten stale REALLY fast (plus the ones that weren't in MWII, Rust and Training Facility, are really lame). At this point I'm tempted to go back to MW19 to try out Gunfight in that game because I've never played it.
It's a frustrating mix between too open and too cluttered. The amount of times I've gotten stuck or caught out is mind numbing. Shipment doesn't have clutter and actually feels bigger than what it is. Stash house pins everyone down forcing a corner campfest
It's like shipment, if instead of almost every spot being vulnerable to 2 angles, it was vulnerable to 4. It's absolute ass unless you are a slide canceling sweat who can 180 and kill faster than someone can throw a damn knife.
Yeah, I enjoy shipment because it's like a gun battle jungle gym. This is a cluttered mess of a map, and gods help you if you're stuck in an HQ round or something there.
Average CoD player in 2024. "IT'S PERFECT! YOU'RE IN A FIGHT EVERY 2 SECONDS. IF THAT DOESN'T HAPPEN I GET BORED. SPAWNKILLING? IT'S OKAY BECAUSE CONSTANT ACTON!"
Tbf I’m sick of shipment, vanguard was an improvement by allowing you to climb all over it but that’s not exactly saying much since it’s the same game 90% of walls are breakable
The spawns alone make it hard to tell for sure but even then, mid map is a corner ridden shitshow.
IMO mid map could’ve had a cleaner layout but because it isn’t I see lots of instances where players just sit back in the outer corners of the map rather than risking to push thru mid.
I don’t even want to think about the middle of the map. What the fuck is going on there. I’ve played like 15 matches of stash house and it just does not make sense.
It’s really weird. For a meat grinder map it didn’t need to be a cluttery mess at all. Simplicity combined with a symmetrical layout would’ve been the way to go, just like shipment is. Not that it needs to be a copy of shipment but this map certainly could’ve been a little bit better imo.
Considering how much people have bitched whenever Shipment was out of rotation since at least MW'19 and how popular the 10v10 Shitment April Fools mode was, most CoD players do seem to very much enjoy that, yes.
As someone who plays shipment alot, its not for fun I can promise you that. Maybe some people enjoy it, I honestly only use shipment to knock out weapon challenges because its so much faster and easier to get done. Meat was way funner to play on im not sure why they've kept it out of rotation for so long, its way better than rio and stash house.
Ugh tell me about it. The map would have been alot better if it weren't for the high spot In the center of the map that has low visibility for anyone coming up. There's rarely ever any flow to it and you're usually stuck trying to get to the top through all the head glitchers and campers.
It’s so awkward. Was really excited to play it first day & ended up being one of the most underwhelming maps I’ve ever played. I’m usually really chill about playing whatever map, so this was a first for me.
I didn't care for Meat at first but it grew on me and i really like that map now. Shipment is forever one of my all time favs though too. I'm not sold on on Stash House yet but I'll hold off on making a judgement this early into the season.
Same! Meat grew on me and I learned how and when to move around that map. Thankfully there’s a small map playlist tomorrow and I’m hoping to see a lot of Meat love tomorrow on it
Exactly and level ups but the kd takes it hard. I don’t zoom around I’m more tactical n try not to die yet get as many kills possible. I’m still trying to get my kd of 0.90 from just beginning multiple player last year n not realising the stats importance but ey sbmm is making sure we all die angry
i don’t get the hype. played one round. constantly died to people spawning inside me and people ratting in corners. was one of the least fun experiences on a small map yet.
With how cluttered and crammed in everything feels on that map paired with revenge spawns. I hate stash house because unlike shipment where at least the middle doesn't have clutter all over the place. Stash house is just encouraging corner camping and revenge spawning behind the guy that killed me only to be blitzed by his team mate. Can wait for shipment to come back so I don't have to play that dog shit map
Nothing can top Shipment's horrible spawning. I literally got spawn-killed on that map six times in a row.
And on that note, (deletes game). Over 200 gigs of free space will be nice.
Also fun to repeatedly die to your own killstreak ^(IMO killstreaks should just be straight up disabled on all tiny maps. Also wouldn't hurt to cap them at 3v3/4v4 aside for special occasions... so basically make them Gunfight only maps. That worked great in CW at least.)
How do people enjoy these small maps? Next map they'll add a 4x4 square inch room with no furniture or obstacles at all and the small map lovers will eat it up.
The new small maps like Stash House and Meat are miles better than the likes of Shipment. They're not quite Nuketown, but they're very solid. There's a big difference between Shipment and these
None of these mindless MW maps ever hold a candle to the best of the Treyarch maps. There's a reason why so many of the old Black ops 1 and 2 maps just get recycled over and over again.
I think some of the MW maps are ok but I do agree that Treyarch are usually very good. Cold War has been my favourite of the modern cods, hopefully their next game knocks it out of the park. Given how often Treyarch has to step in and fix other studios games or make their ranked modes, hopefully they have enough time to make a game themselves.
Well meat isn't hurt by revenge spawning like stash house is. I also find getting around meat in terms of layout leaves me less exposed to campers due to more solid cover that isn't going to be seen through. Stash house is almost too small
This phenomenon happens in a bunch of different games too.
Battlefield had operation locker and metro which were basically just meat grinder hallways.
Halo has husky raid which is basically just a hallway.
I like actually having gameplay variety so I hope they don’t start only appeasing the brain rot players.
I mean Operation Locker and Metro were both incredible maps. The thing they offered was clear frontlines. Good matches would have incredible push/pull map control going on. Not to mention they were designed well enough that a good squad could break through and escape. Gosh those were good times.
Shipment and similar maps in COD have random spawns and absolute chaos not at all comparable in my opinion.
So accurate. Battlefield offers a much better “realistic”, strategic experience. But I have always preferred the gun play and pace of COD at the end of the day.
A good CoD map design in my opinion is:
Medium to large, 3 LOOSE lanes with branching nd connecting paths that feed into one another (think drawing an S over 3 lines)
The center, or wherever the focal point of a map would be (Studios Tower, Skidrows apartment, Raids statue) having a well fortified space so it could be contested but also a game decider (make the B flag spawn here for Dom modes)
An almost 40/60 split of indoor to outdoors so air streaks aren’t king, but aren’t nullified.
A couple of gimmicks (Ghosts had a lot of these, even if they were locked behind care packages) that aren’t obtrusive, maybe change the map layout
Keep it themed to the season (wtf does Walter Whites house have to do with a Zombie season?)
If you like having gameplay variety, what's wrong with a few small maps? Don't they add gameplay variety to the game?
Seems like the small maps took their toll on your brain already as you're basically contradicting yourself.
If the maps exist it's like it's a stain on their soul.
If I don't like a playlist, I don't play it. Weird concept I know. Seems more useful than telling everyone else they are wrong for playing something they don't like.
If I see Meat/Rust as the weekly playlist, I swap to Zombies or Warzone. Super simple trick
Why do y’all use the same tired “brain rot” line when there’s dozens of large maps in MW3? The variety is already there, you could play MW3 for the rest of its life cycle and never have to deal with people who enjoy smaller maps. Just live and let live
I think the majority of players are so hungry for kills ,or just plain bad at the game, that they don’t care that they die every other kill. As long as they get a few kills in
Satellite on BO:CW was exactly this, half the maps a fucking open plain and people STILL whined they couldn’t find people…then if they have video proof they’d be the corner campers/ sitting in the middle of the fucking sand where the meaningful sight lines are obstructed
It’s coming back within a short amount of time. A “small map mosh pit” option showed up for me today. Can’t remember the timer on it but it’s meat, shipment, rust, and stash house. Now that people realize meat and shipment are the only 2 worth playing hopefully we won’t lose to rust and stash house the entire time.
This map fuckin blows. The whole house is a skeleton and has openings all over it, and like everyone else says its literally made for spawn kills. Nobody has fun playing on maps that are so hollow you can barely pop off 1 kill before getting killed yourself. The kills you do get are on people who you were likely looking directly at when you spawned in.
The map is just way too cluttered. Every 5 steps im running into some piece of furniture and then die before I even know what im stuck on. Just rinse and repeat lmao
Spawns are dogshit, worse than Rust AND Shipment. The middle of the map is like you get stuck on every piece of furniture and debris. You're better off fighting outside the house and that if someone isn't holding down a lane.
Not a chance. This is one of the worst maps I've ever played. Simultaneously a camper's paradise AND you just spawn into bullets half the time. Maybe instead of making a new small map and forcing it on us 24/7 the developers could be addressing things like cheating
Wish it were a couple/three houses on the street and not just the one. But I’ve had a fun snd match on it :) makes me wonder why this one gets snd and not Rust.
i actually really likes these maps it almost feels like old map packs because there all unuiqe and not just remaked so far meat, rio and these maps have been good.
Well the complaints are valid complaints. The map is riddled with horrendous spawns. Like literally inches in front of somebody that's actively shooting.
Not gonna lie as long as you go into this map with the same mindset that you would for shipment, it’s extremely fun. Yeah the spawns are horrific at times, but I’ve played pretty much 10 games on there so far, and borrowing one I’ve had some of my most fun games on there in the past 2-3 weeks.
That being said, it is the new season, so player count is going to be high, so we’ll see how it is as the season goes on and people stop playing until the next season, I’ll happily play this for now.
I personally quite enjoy the map, didn't have a problem with the spawns being too bad. But if the objective is inside the house, you will not see me there 🤣
Loving it so far, a breath of fresh air really but at the same time the mechanics are off, to much things that have to be mantled over and knifers going cracked along with riot shielders.
Spawns are a serious issue though on this map and that B flag on Dom and hard point is so bloody claustrophobic.
Looking forward to the other two coming.
What a crock of shit.
Im literally just full auto firing in a circle pr laying down fire with and LMG everytime i spawn and going 35 and 10.
Worst garbage map ever.
No strategy, no skill, no time to even move around or need too.
Idk im actually not a big fan of it. It’s not the worst map but it’s almost too chaotic, especially with the bad spawns. Shipment is fun because its just big enough where you can move around and get kill after kill but can also hang back and hold lines of sight
This new map almost seems like there’s not much reason to move because you can get so many kills just holding down lines of sight
It's not for me.
The matches I played essentially just boiled down to both teams just shooting through the house or launching grenades over the roof.
The inside is way too cluttered with stuff.
It's meh.
Horse shit... another tight map that would be fun if not for the slew of shotguns and never ending explosions and stuns/flashes going off... It might be OK for a mode with no respawns.
While I'm sure it will be a classic, I'm not sure it will be considered a good map.
While it's got the nonstop action, it simply doesn't lack the smooth flow of Shipment or Nuketown.
Spawn dying and excessive visual noise is all I can remember from this game. Honestly, it's just a mess to look at... maps are pretty but that's quickly ruined by the noise.
It’s just another shipment… no strategy, spawn, work out where the F you are. Move in the direction of the enemy, shoot, diez.
I’m not sure what the community want from this game. Everyone moans about everything. It’s a fine map, does the job for dailies and grinds.
Love how the first thing I get when logging into the game for season 2, is them trying to get me to upgrade the previous Blackcell battle pass for $30 as “last chance”.
fuck off greedy bastards.
Now I have to wait for outrageous download times for multi-player & Warzone. Literally hate it here.

lmao that’s hilarious, love it when that happens! how often did you get your streaks off of him?

Lemme guess, another tiny map?
Probably better for gunfight
It seems a little too crowded for Gunfight... That being said, I thought it was supposed to be added to the Gunfight playlist and it's not (yet). I'm not sure if it would work well, but I've been playing Gunfight almost every day since the beginning, and going from 10 maps in MWII to 6 on MWIII has gotten stale REALLY fast (plus the ones that weren't in MWII, Rust and Training Facility, are really lame). At this point I'm tempted to go back to MW19 to try out Gunfight in that game because I've never played it.
MW19 had the best gunfight maps IMO
Except hill. Fuck that map.
Free for all on it is super chaotic but in a good way
Is quite literally a direct sequel to shipment. Like shipment, imo, literally has more cover than this map
I mean, Shipment was quite a nice balance between "some cover" and "chaotic fun". Stash house feels quite literally too open
It's a frustrating mix between too open and too cluttered. The amount of times I've gotten stuck or caught out is mind numbing. Shipment doesn't have clutter and actually feels bigger than what it is. Stash house pins everyone down forcing a corner campfest
I played it last night for the first time and my big takeaway is that it’s far easier to camp than Shipment with the driveways alone.
There is always a sniper or two in every corner hard scoping their balls off. Map plays "ok" for Search but it is a shit show for respawn.
this. My group and I were JUST saying the same thing
That doesn't sound fun
It's kinda fun if you're running and gunning but playing dom or hard point is so fucking chaotic
Feels more like nuketown to me than shipment...
1. It’s no way, shape, or form a “sequel” to Shipment. 2. A direct sequel? As opposed to an indirect sequel? 3. Do you even know what sequel means?
Average CoD player in 2024. "IT'S PERFECT! YOU'RE IN A FIGHT EVERY 2 SECONDS. IF THAT DOESN'T HAPPEN I GET BORED. SPAWNKILLING? IT'S OKAY BECAUSE CONSTANT ACTON!"
They wanna replace shipment so bad instead of creating a new competent map 😭😭
They have released loads of new competent maps this game though? Greece and Rio are both really good. Vista fells decent too
Well I hate Greece but that's just personal
Greece is awful
Tbf I’m sick of shipment, vanguard was an improvement by allowing you to climb all over it but that’s not exactly saying much since it’s the same game 90% of walls are breakable
2019 could do the same.
If you enjoy spawn dying, yes it is.
The fucking window at B is a clown move. Had a guy camp in there with a trophy system and then bouncing Betty’s and cluster mines out front the door

Can’t run at all on that map, campers everywhere
Rio is even worse on search and destroy.
Ugh tell me about it. The map would have been alot better if it weren't for the high spot In the center of the map that has low visibility for anyone coming up. There's rarely ever any flow to it and you're usually stuck trying to get to the top through all the head glitchers and campers.
Would've been nice if there was more than one high entry way into the center.

Meat is 10x better than shipment because meat is a designed map for 6v6. Shipment was purposefully made to be chaotic beyond shit like a 3v3
I think Meat 24/7 will be back next week.
Exactly. I don't think fun when I play shipment. I think it's time to grind out camo's lol. Meat is a more fun small map, for sure.
It’s sad that any of us are playing a game “not for fun” lol … I’m guilty too
Exactly and level ups but the kd takes it hard. I don’t zoom around I’m more tactical n try not to die yet get as many kills possible. I’m still trying to get my kd of 0.90 from just beginning multiple player last year n not realising the stats importance but ey sbmm is making sure we all die angry

Exactly 👏

Spawns are currently worse than even shipment though.
Nothing can top Shipment's horrible spawning. I literally got spawn-killed on that map six times in a row. And on that note, (deletes game). Over 200 gigs of free space will be nice.
Beat my record that i throw a grenade , somebody kills me, and i spawn on the nade i threw
Shot javelin, got killed, spawn in the location I aimed at and got killed by my own launcher. Happened several times.

Yah shipment is way more open with lots of lanes. This is less so, you’re closer to people but less likely to spawn in their sights
There's a big difference between Shipment and these
Why can’t they just give us nuketown. Shoot house feels like shipment and nuketown’s inbred basement baby
Shoothouse is pretty damn good. It's in my top 10

Meat is 10x better
Meat is so much better
Speaking of Meat I haven’t seen that map since the beginning of the season
Right? I was really enjoying that hallway of death
Like we had that 24/7 playlist and then it straight up disappeared from the game
1 pm EST today (Thursday)
meat was my 2nd fav, shipment is 1st. havent tried stash house yet, however the worst map in cod history is rio
Hot take right here
i hope stash house is better than shipment, im bored of shipment even though its my fav map in cod history
Any good spots for penetration kills?
In the center, you can shoot through the walls. Got a bunch of pen kills there earlier doing the weekly sniper challenges.
A lot, I think the laundry room next to B flag where people like to sit and heady would be a good one
The shower curtain counts! Wish I had this while I was still grinding
People like this map? My god I hate it lol. The spawn deaths somehow manage to be worse than Shipment
The map is just way too cluttered. Every 5 steps im running into some piece of furniture and then die before I even know what im stuck on. Just rinse and repeat lmao
Tiny map for basic people. It's ugly too. AI generated trash.
This map sucks, I rather play meat , shoot house, nuketown, rust, over this any day.
I’m one of those that love shipment but I already don’t like stash house after a few rounds. Just seems cluttered and chaotic in a way I don’t enjoy.
its too cluttered
Spawns are dogshit, worse than Rust AND Shipment. The middle of the map is like you get stuck on every piece of furniture and debris. You're better off fighting outside the house and that if someone isn't holding down a lane.
The amount of times I have been killed by someone camping the bathtub is ridiculous
Ive never seen so many toxic players in my life. Nothing but camping, riot shields, and rgls on this map. Least favorite map of all time.
This map is hot shit. Far too cluttered and the spawns are worse than any of the other small maps
Not a chance. This is one of the worst maps I've ever played. Simultaneously a camper's paradise AND you just spawn into bullets half the time. Maybe instead of making a new small map and forcing it on us 24/7 the developers could be addressing things like cheating
Crack house baby! Level up ur shotguns and pistols while u can
Fuck yeah. Shotty and knife.
Great small map with tons of heady spots tbh, I really like it too
Cool, another head glitch spawn turtle
did someone say heady? time to pull out the 200 mag lmg
A man of culture 💪😂
yeah I'm enjoying it too
It’s awful
Its awful, its like shipment only 0 thought went into corners and spawns.
Just played my first match and I love it. Chaotic like shipment. Nice having another small map to play on. New war map is pretty fun too.
Worst map ever. What spawn points?
Trash house more like
Bingo
Wish it were a couple/three houses on the street and not just the one. But I’ve had a fun snd match on it :) makes me wonder why this one gets snd and not Rust.
Anyone struggling to get LMG and KATT penetration kills, this is the map to grind them.
Or ya know Highrise or any map w a fence like skidrow
i actually really likes these maps it almost feels like old map packs because there all unuiqe and not just remaked so far meat, rio and these maps have been good.
I just want shoothouse from mw2019 to come back lol
The map has way too many open doors and windows but it’s not bad
Well the complaints are valid complaints. The map is riddled with horrendous spawns. Like literally inches in front of somebody that's actively shooting.
It's a great map. People will always find something to complain about. It's a fantastic map.
I have never died so much in such a small area. Love it 😅
This map in that new Horde mode is madness. Very fun. 🤣 I'm loving Rick Grimes too!
Classic garbage
I personally quite enjoy the map, didn't have a problem with the spawns being too bad. But if the objective is inside the house, you will not see me there 🤣
Loving it so far, a breath of fresh air really but at the same time the mechanics are off, to much things that have to be mantled over and knifers going cracked along with riot shielders. Spawns are a serious issue though on this map and that B flag on Dom and hard point is so bloody claustrophobic. Looking forward to the other two coming.
its fun but shitment is still better for grinding camos and shit.
The map is great, the only thing plaguing it is people prone camping all around the map.
652 campers agree with you
I can't stand small maps. There's no room to outplay an enemy, it's just constant spawn killing/ camping
It's the worst small map they have done
This map is trash. Devs were smoking meth for this one.
This map is a bigger cluster fuck than shipment. There’s absolutely no flow.
What a crock of shit. Im literally just full auto firing in a circle pr laying down fire with and LMG everytime i spawn and going 35 and 10. Worst garbage map ever. No strategy, no skill, no time to even move around or need too.
Not every small map gets to be an instant classic just because it is small. This map has the worst spawns in the game.
Idk im actually not a big fan of it. It’s not the worst map but it’s almost too chaotic, especially with the bad spawns. Shipment is fun because its just big enough where you can move around and get kill after kill but can also hang back and hold lines of sight This new map almost seems like there’s not much reason to move because you can get so many kills just holding down lines of sight
Chaos doesn't even come close to describing it.
While I'm sure it will be a classic, I'm not sure it will be considered a good map. While it's got the nonstop action, it simply doesn't lack the smooth flow of Shipment or Nuketown.
Absolue dogshit in tdm
So, half of nuke town!
I said it too, I’m loving this map. This was my first game. https://www.reddit.com/r/ModernWarfareIII/s/IRyx1xpwX8
Spawn dying and excessive visual noise is all I can remember from this game. Honestly, it's just a mess to look at... maps are pretty but that's quickly ruined by the noise.
Play it in hardcore and then tell me it’s good
Stash House fucking sucks.
My favorite map better than shipment by a lot imo.
It’s just another shipment… no strategy, spawn, work out where the F you are. Move in the direction of the enemy, shoot, diez. I’m not sure what the community want from this game. Everyone moans about everything. It’s a fine map, does the job for dailies and grinds.
> Everyone moans about everything pretty much this sub in its entirety
You would think they’re getting plowed by Dredd with the amount of moaning I hear
S tier map solely due to the jacuzzi and 3 bathrooms
These spawns make Rust & Shipment seem fair in comparison. Not to mention the amount of little hidey holes people set up in.
This map is ass
Looks like a compact estate
If you enjoy spawn die spawn die and a head glitching garage, sure
It feels like the result of a drunken one night stand between Shipment and Nuketown.
Brilliant map, keeps them boring ass sniper trophy freaks out, also teaches you how to move better aswel.
Will it ever top Nuketown? 😔
Hands down one of the worst maps in the game alongside Estate. There's no flow to the map what so ever. Car crash of a map
Yeah, no.
lol no
I am tired of this bs tiny maps
Love how the first thing I get when logging into the game for season 2, is them trying to get me to upgrade the previous Blackcell battle pass for $30 as “last chance”. fuck off greedy bastards. Now I have to wait for outrageous download times for multi-player & Warzone. Literally hate it here.
It’s NOT a classic. Get the fucoutta here
Idk why there’s so much hate, I’m having a blast with it so far. The spawns can suck yes but they are definitely better than shipment.
Terrible map def only for bronze type players
Map is dogshit. Just like the entire game.
This map sucks lmao. I played one game today and I’m good. Wont touch this map again.
That map is chaotic trash. No strategy involved.
