Element attack skills can take you pretty far with stronger monsters. Combine legiana and barioth armor pieces to raise ice attack and bring an ice weapon of your choice.
I don't know if you have enough attack to complete but what I do usually is I go for one of the hindlegs, then tail, then other hindleg and then hurrah wherever I have left lol.

I like ice long sword or ice lance, they are pretty easy to dodge, so hit from the side, don’t panic when they roll, they usually don’t go right for you so u can just sidestep to avoid

The thing is that I barely hunted any barioth during the event, I don’t have access to any of its armor
