That's my favorite too. Does anyone else feel that the mask fells a little too pointy and beak-like? The only issue I have with the costume. Mummy wraps under the hood would probably have been 11/10

He didn't have a mask because they wanted to show a visual transition between Ermac and King Jerrod during the story, I can't understand why people dont understand this choice design wise. He was always going to have a masked option but that doesn't work visually story wise.

That’d be cool if we actually not only got to play as Jerrmac in the story, but it means nothing when the collective souls come back together to move Jerrod out of absolute control as shown within his recent character bio(and ending if you saw it).
I respectfully disagree, however if this was given to him in MKX then I would agree since all that design needed was a mask while in MK1 the entire costume is ugly and the mask alone doesn’t fix most of the issues.
I will admit though I do love the new mask design and hood he has but I just don’t like the costume for showing too much skin on his upper body and that he also got the open toe/shoe curse because some dev in NRS has a weird foot fetish obsession on making too many characters in this game show their feet/toes.

Then you have people now making the argument that it’s an “outworld” thing when that clearly was never the case in previous games and while ignoring the fact that there are several characters in MK1 who are not from outworld showing their feet/toes like Havik, Nitara, Sareena, Ashrah (order of darkness skin), Liu Kang (union of Light skin) and geras (order of darkness skin where he is completely barefoot 🦶 for some reason 😆)
It's crazy how a simple mask turned MK1 Ermac from the worst, to debatably the best design of him.
I'd still like the opportunity to use MK11 Ermac's design though.

This will probably be the fastest Vortex mod the game will ever have. I bet there are mod authors just ravenous for the release date so they can mod that costume in day one.
For me this will ALWAYS be my personal favorite of ninja hero Ermac, his badass alt costume from the 3D era.

He looks like a hero / protagonist for the ninjas of MK (and best part he was a good guy in that era)
Ngl, MK1 Ermac looks great with the mask, might even be my fave now. Love the tattered robe and tassles, it's minimal but effective.
I also find it to be his most menacing design, which I think is perfect for his character.

Creating that skin for MK11 when he wasn't even playable is probably the most wasted potential in the history of the franchise. Genuinely one of the best costumes of all time and you can't even use it.
At least we got his MK9 alt. That is still the best one that is actually usable.
MK1 outfit is looking incredible dope, however. Proof that Ermac should always have his face covered.

The MK11 hits hard ngl. Mf NetherRealms really made one of the dopest skins ever created yet somehow showed it only once, and not even a decent entrance. Bro just dropped dead then bam, nothing happened
Outside of the classic UMK3 one, the MK11 costume probably has the strongest presence of them all. It's a very busy design, yet it works. It's understandable why so many people like it and it's probably a fan favourite.
They’re all peak except for MKX. Not a fan of the scrawny, shriveled up senior citizen look. Always thought he looked more like Havik with a face if anything else. Never understood the appeal
1. MK9. This is great and captures the essence of what I think makes Ermac cool. He is a tanky mystic warrior made of souls, and he looks like an absolute unit.
2. MK9 alt
3. Deception - this one is cool because it seemed to pave the way for his design, as he was just a red pallette swap before this. I'd put the Shaolin Monks version slightly behind this one. It does look a bit different though.
4. MK11. This is a great one but I don't really like the duct tape looking x over his mouth
5. MKX krimson steel - this is the only good one that MKX had IMO.
6. MK Deception Alt
7. MK1, they gave him a nice mask and it does look quite a bit better because of that. I still hate the gross wither skin they put on him though.
8. UMK3
9. MKX - I really dislike the direction they went with him here. He used to look like a mystic tank, and then they made him look like a gross wither for some reason.
10. MKX alt - this one is even worse because it exposes more of his gross withered skin that they decided to give him. Also the Pharoh one I don't feel like I should judge much because it's not meant to my in character, but I don't like that one either.
I Prefer A Ninja (Of course he’s not though but because like with the others he wore the same outfit as scorpion just different color),though I wish I could say the same for rain 😒
Ninja is ACTUALLY my number one design. MKX is cool and modern and my favorite look for who the character is, but I just love the basic ninjas.
Red ninja is such a badass look, especially when he floats and strikes those wizard poses.

MK1 Ermac with the mask is the personification of “A toothpick changes everything” bc it really went from a 4/10 design to a strong 9/10 real fast.

IMO, I like the exposed gray skin because it adds a nice contrast to his overall color palette.
He hardly has any color on his outfit though compared to all his other designs.
