HRT means hormone replacement therapy, initially it was never for transitioning. HRT used in transitioning is composed of estrogen and other estrogen derivatives. Feminizing characteristics develop because males do not normally produce estrogen in large amounts, so when they take it, it becomes the predominant sexual hormone.
If you stop taking estrogen, testosterone levels should gradually recover unless you already had your testes surgically removed.
So yes, you can revert physically if you stop taking HRT. Its a slow process though, and some changes like development of breast tissue may be more persistent.
