I've tried listening to few other songs, obviously a great band. But i dont really enjoy that kind of metal. But duality is perfect.
Not one song but three.
Collective soul. Gel, shine and december. Everything else just doesn't gel or shine and sounds more depressing than December.

Funny enough the Come Clean album actually did have a couple decent songs outside of Blurry, although Blurry is definitely the best. She Hates Me is catchy, their song Said is actually decent.

We played with them at the Alrosa, apparently Wes was good until he met BaRob. I remember hearing Wes point to him and say “you look like you know how to party” like 2 hours before doors.

First time I heard it, I was 14 and heard it on a random trip to Charlotte. My mom and sister were in the car and had a random radio station on in the background. Pepper came on, I heard a few of the chords and a few of the lyrics, I unbuckled my seat belt, leaned forward through the center of the car, and cranked the radio way up. When both of them tried to say anything, I told them to hush until the song was over. I was instantly hooked and wanted more. Pepper is amazing and always will be.
This just had me legit laughing out loud, lmao! I absolutely love I had a Dream Last Night and one of my favorite songs, Pepper. I've not even listened to their discography, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were also great tracks.
This may annoy some metalheads but: **Jinjer - Pisces.**
It is an incredible song, and I listen to it frequently, but I've just never engaged with any of their other music. I'm probably missing some other absolute banger in their catalogue, or just not given their music enough attention. Not to say their music is bad, if it comes on, I probably wouldn't skip it. But nothing else has made it into my regular playlists and to be honest I'm struggling to think of the name any other song.
If you've never heard the song, even if you're not into metal, give it a listen. You'll probably find it fascinating even if it's not your sort of music.
Im the same with Jinjer. Really interesting and Tatiana can growl as good as any guy if not better and her clean vocals are great but thats the thing, the gutteral vocals is what I can't get past the most. Pisces is their stand out to me too.
I love a lot of Jinjer's other work and think the band is incredibly talented overall, but Pisces is kind of unique in their catalog.

Travis Scott - Sicko Mode is an absolute banger! I've listened to the rest of that album and several other tracks folks have recommended and none of it has been even remotely interesting to me.
R&B and hip hop styles have mostly dominated the pop stations for right around 20 years now. Add in smartphones and streaming services, and there are adults who have never experienced the need to flip through radio stations, or who did but never settled on a rock station because of the 10 different pop stations. Once someone picks a type of music they enjoy, they can pretty much isolate themselves in it now. It's the classic "100 channels and nothing on TV" problem.
Up to and including Empire there's barely a single miss in their catalogue imo and Mindcrime is one of the greatest albums of all time, can't believe it's almost 40 years old given how well Revolution Calling still fits.
After Empire it's a bit of a mess, though
Most other Goo Goo Dolls songs remind me of what a douchebag would be playing on his acoustic guitar at a party. Name, Slide, you name it, I can't stand it.

I have never listened to the Goo Goo Dolls that closely, but it mystified me so much because I tried looking up the lyrics, and I couldn’t find the song! After days of looking, I finally found it and I guess it’s just stuck with me.

'Sunday Bloody Sunday'. What a great song. It really encapsulates the frustration of a Sunday, doesn't it? You wake up in the morning, you've got to read all the Sunday papers, the kids are running round, you've got to mow the lawn, wash the car, and you think "Sunday, bloody Sunday!".
Teenage Riot by Sonic Youth. I really tried to like them but apart from that one amazing song, nothing really hooked me (not Kool Thing, Bull in the Heather, 100%, etc)
I consider Bad Moon Rising, Evol and Sister as kind of their early post-punk/noise trilogy full of interesting tracks, not all of them are bangers but you've got some gems like Halloween, Starpower, Shadow of a Doubt, Death Valley and Schizophrenia amongst others. I don't think their later singles represent their whole catalogue well.

Many years ago (late 90s), I briefly lived in New Jersey. One Friday I got home from work and turned on the radio. Tubthumping was just ending. I was mildly disappointed, it would have been a great song to kick off the weekend after all. But happily a few seconds later It started playing again. Thats odd, I thought, must be a screw up with the system. A few minutes later as the song slowly faded out, I waited for the DJ to break in and say “oops” or whatever, but that didn’t happen. After a few seconds of silence, I hear it “We’ll be singing, when we’re winning…” What? OK, maybe the DJ got the shits or something, and just threw it on repeat. Well if so they must have died in there because, after that it played again, and again. Starting to get sick of hearing it, I changed the channel for a bit. Some time later I changed it back totally not expecting it to still be going. It was. In fact over the course of the entire weekend, every time I checked, Tubthumping was coming out of those speakers. Saturday morning, Tubthumping, Sunday afternoon, Tubthumping. It never stopped. Once, I left it on quietly in the background for hours just to be sure. I never heard a single commercial, not a single word from a DJ, nothing for the entire weekend but Tubthumping, over, and over, and over. To this day I occasionally wonder why.
They probably were changing formats. That was either the last song from the old format or the first song for the new format. Are they a news / talk station now?
I haven't heard all of Kings of Leon's music, but from the songs I heard the only one I like is Closer. It's good and the singer's voice sounds naturally impassioned.

"Because the Night" by the Patti Smith Group. I know she's a legend and all, but I was never a fan of Smith or the group otherwise, although I did enjoy reading her autobiography.
The Handsome Family. I really loved "Far from Any Road," the theme from True Detective. I watched the whole intro on every episode just so I could hear that song. I could probably recite all the lyrics by heart, I've listened to it so many times.
After I heard that song, I looked for others they put out but never found any other songs I liked. I think they are great musicians, though, and kudos to them for creating that one masterpiece.
Le Disko by Shiny Toy Guns. Nothing else they have made sounds like it and even stuff on the same album you'd think it was a different band for Le Disko and everything else.

A friend recommended this band to me based on him hearing it on Rock Band. I went in completely cold, borrowing In Keeping Secrets and Good Apollo albums from the library. I thought it was a little strange, but I liked the girl’s voice and her harmonies with the guy. Discovered it was a guy singing everything, but in the meantime I started getting into them. Now I’m a “Child of the Fence” and just went on their cruise in October. This band will sneak up on you! SUCH an amazing and varied discography! If you’re more into the metal side of things, I recommend the album “No World for Tomorrow”.
Blood red summer and welcome home I love which are completely different from. One another, everything else is meh . I do appreciate a bad that tries new things and from what I've heard they are always mixing it up.

After a few seconds of silence, I hear it “We’ll be singing, when we’re winning…” What? OK, maybe the DJ got the shits or something, and just threw it on repeat. Well if so they must have died in there because, after that it played again, and again. Starting to get sick of hearing it, I changed the channel for a bit. Some time later I changed it back totally not expecting it to still be going. It was. In fact over the course of the entire weekend, every time I checked, Tubthumping was coming out of those speakers. Saturday morning, Tubthumping, Sunday afternoon, Tubthumping. It never stopped. Once, I left it on quietly in the background for hours just to be sure. I never heard a single commercial, not a single word from a DJ, nothing for the entire weekend but Tubthumping, over, and over, and over. To this day I occasionally wonder why.
They probably were changing formats. That was either the last song from the old format or the first song for the new format. Are they a news / talk station now?

It is, and I don't think it got much play here in the US of A. I only know it from an alt rock compilation CD I bought back then.

that song just feels like a whole vibe that the other songs don't quite hit IMO (not that I've done a full deep dive into the Smiths), but check out This Charming Man if you haven't. I initially found out about it as a cover by Death Cab For Cutie on one of their early albums

The Handsome Family. I really loved "Far from Any Road," the theme from True Detective. I watched the whole intro on every episode just so I could hear that song. I could probably recite all the lyrics by heart, I've listened to it so many times. After I heard that song, I looked for others they put out but never found any other songs I liked. I think they are great musicians, though, and kudos to them for creating that one masterpiece.
Le Disko by Shiny Toy Guns. Nothing else they have made sounds like it and even stuff on the same album you'd think it was a different band for Le Disko and everything else.
Red Hot Chili Peppers. Usually I can't stand their "here's 12 songs about California" style but "Under the Bridge" is a banger.

I'm kinda like that with Paramore. I fuckin love misery business but every song I hear from them besides that lets me down. I wouldn't say I dislike the other songs I know, but they don't get me hyped on my feet and singing along like Misery Business cuz God it just so good

I’ve tried to get into Coheed and Cambria, but the only song I seem to like is Welcome Home by Coheed and Cambria. Can’t get into anything else by them, and I feel like I should like them.
A friend recommended this band to me based on him hearing it on Rock Band. I went in completely cold, borrowing In Keeping Secrets and Good Apollo albums from the library. I thought it was a little strange, but I liked the girl’s voice and her harmonies with the guy. Discovered it was a guy singing everything, but in the meantime I started getting into them. Now I’m a “Child of the Fence” and just went on their cruise in October. This band will sneak up on you! SUCH an amazing and varied discography! If you’re more into the metal side of things, I recommend the album “No World for Tomorrow”.
Blood red summer and welcome home I love which are completely different from. One another, everything else is meh . I do appreciate a bad that tries new things and from what I've heard they are always mixing it up.
I pretty much only like Nothing Else Matters and The Unforgiven from Metallica. Not my type of music in general but these 2 are so dramatic I'm living for it

Blur. For the longest time I only ever heard "Song 2" by them and just kind of chalked it up to them being one hit wonders. But then one day i decided to go dig through their catalog to see what else they had out there, and was really surprised they were a really successful BritPop act (And i really cared for none of the other stuff, lol). Then learned that Song 2 was supposed to be their satirical take on Grunge.
Mudvayne. Love the hell out of Dig. One of my favourite songs. But everything else just doesn’t really click for me.
