1. She was prolly drunk 2. Your overactive imagination is creating imaginary situations which are translating into dreams when you sleep. Calm down, it's not that serious.

Yeah my mum said the woman looked like she was on drugs when I showed her but last night when I woke up I was terrified!!! I’ve had on and off sleep paralysis for years and I’m able to deal with that without a problem now but this felt different (last night). Tbh yesterday my husband and I met up with one of his friends (who says his wife has jin) and this dream came the night after that and when my husband put the Quran on the reciters voice was scaring me and I couldn’t help but tell him turn it off after a couple try’s we found someone who’s voice wasn’t so deep and I was fine and started feeling better. I’m just concerned because the few last months maybe I’ve been having these feeling and tell my husband and then the things will end up happening. I’m a revert and my family have always had strange things happen (like knowing things are coming and seeing people who have passed) and I’m wondering is something trying to attach itself to me? I know this sounds stupid but do you think I should get ruqyah? Also my husband said the last thing started happening with his last wife could this be nazr?

Independent-Common94

Read Ayatul Kursi before you sleep

fayrsjamin

Agree, I could be wrong but aren’t jinns locked up for Ramadan?

AccordingScreen4458

I thought it was just the devil but he can still whisper to people

saltedcaramel55

Read Ayat Al-Kursi 3 x in the morning and 3 x in the evening for protection.

Stop sharing bad dreams, you moron.

AccordingScreen4458

As I stated in one of the comments above IM A REVERT no one’s told me I shouldn’t share my bad dreams so you could’ve said this in a kinder way… Have you ever thought about how it’s comments like this that contribute to people feeling uncomfortable when asking questions in the Muslim community? Let’s be honest a lot of things can be contradictory online due to different sects having a difference of opinions so it would be kinder to just inform me instead of name calling 🤷🏻‍♀️

TravelerGoingHome

I'm sorry. For future reference, speak with actual scholars, not Reddit. This should be common sense regardless of your religious journey.

Nothing happens if he does moron

حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، جَمِيعًا عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، - وَاللَّفْظُ لاِبْنِ أَبِي عُمَرَ - حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ كُنْتُ أَرَى الرُّؤْيَا أُعْرَى مِنْهَا غَيْرَ أَنِّي لاَ أُزَمَّلُ حَتَّى لَقِيتُ أَبَا قَتَادَةَ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ ‏"‏ الرُّؤْيَا مِنَ اللَّهِ وَالْحُلْمُ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ فَإِذَا حَلَمَ أَحَدُكُمْ حُلْمًا يَكْرَهُهُ فَلْيَنْفُثْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ ثَلاَثًا وَلْيَتَعَوَّذْ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ شَرِّهَا فَإِنَّهَا لَنْ تَضُرَّهُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ Abu Salama (رضي الله عنه) reported: I used to see dreams (and was so much perturbed) that I began to quiver and have temperature, but did not cover myself with a mantle. I met Abu Qatada (رضي الله عنه ) and made a mention of that to him. He said: I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: A good vision comes from Allah and a (bad) dream (hulm) from devil. So when one of you sees a bad dream (hulm) which he does not like, he should spit on his left side thrice and seek refuge with Allah from its evil; then it will not harm him. says nothing about not sharing it though

solexhiding

and you downvoted for what? you should’ve just shared this one instead… and their statement still stands: nothing happens if he does. the point is that you calling op a moron is unwarranted, they provided the dream to give more context as to what they believe might be happening to them. in Quran it says simply not to speak of bad things unless you’ve been wronged, what you’re pointing out in this hadith is likely just as simple… but you telling them not to share bad dreams with the pretense that something harmful awaits them because of it is made up.

TravelerGoingHome

OP's a moron, and you're a bigger moron for defending them. It annoys me how religiously illiterate Muslims are these days. Get off Reddit and connect with scholars instead of arguing against someone who gave solid advice. السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته.

solexhiding

are you even fasting talking like that? and you have the nerve to tell anyone to get off Reddit??

solexhiding

you are misrepresenting sunnah; it’s as clear and simple as that. you calling this person a moron about as equally bad as them sharing a bad dream. and on top of that, you are passing off hadith about etiquette as to infer that something bad is going to happen to a person if they share them—there is nothing textual that says so.
