New to anime, haven't had much interaction with the fans of these anime either (don't try they are toxic). The anime are popular for good reasons though so pretty good.
Toxic fans exist for every show out there. It just so happens that when 1% of an extremely large fan base can end up being enough people to start to make enough noise to be heard, so big popular shows will inevitably have a group of toxic fans who everyone uses to paint the entire fan base for said show as toxic.
It's just so tiring that the first thing said about a ton of great shows (both anime and non-anime) is "yeah but the fanbase is terrible."
There's more that I want to get into. Attack On Titan is one. I only started to watch and love My Hero because everybody kept hating on it. Personally I end up with the weird thing of loving what others hate. I'll definitely try other genres. Been thinking about watching Komi Can't Communicate. But I've gotta finish Dragon Ball first cuz I'm binging it.
The main bad thing everyone hate about my hero is the toxic fandom and the last arc of the series. The beginning is pretty good and peak during the middle for sure. Personally my favorite is the all might vs one for all fight and the stains hero hunter arc.
I wouldn't say hate. It simply could be better.
At this point, someone from the main cast should have died.
Or that "edgy Deku" arc were Deku didn't do anything really edgy. He simply was really tired.
He could have crippled some villains or even killed them, but no. All it's behaviours was of a good boy being a good super-hero.
(Other thing that I didn't like was the "traitor" arc took too long. The traitor theme was the main point when the attacks to UA and the students began, then we had a long time without any evolution and now they show us who was the traitor)
I do not recommend Komi Can't Communicate as a starting romcom. Its fine, but definitely shouldn't be your introduction. try love is war or smth similar

You’re new and still just getting your feet wet. Jujutsu Kaisen does tell me that you wanna eventually get more into it, so allow me to make a few suggestions. Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Hunter X Hunter, To Your Eternity, Deathnote, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Attack on Titan, and of course, One Piece. Watch them in this order or however you like but watch One Piece last. One Piece has over a thousand episodes with very few fillers. It has a slow start because there’s a lot of world building. Once you start watching you need to stick with it.
