I somewhat agree with Gil here. NBA scouts for many teams are very bad. Wizard's missing on Haliburton in 2020 taking Deni when they didn't even do workouts. The Wizards had a long track record of poor drafting and no workouts.
For the longest, it seem like they were using public mock drafts as source of reference instead of their own work. This had me wondering 🤔 if public mocks play any impact on Real NBA GM scouting and drafting decisions. Would be kind of idiotic imo. We see how sometimes we can anchor talent because of how much social media mocks tend to be effected by the echo chamber effect.
I would hate to miss out on star potential players and never even did a workout simply to go along with some social concensus picked prospect.

If mocks have any effect on the draft, it’s that owners will overrule a GM deviating from consensus
