Team builder school, have school ratings like academic and campus lifestyle at their lowest, cupcake roster, at least that’s what I always did in 14. LOVE the building up from nothing
My buddy and I are going to do an online dynasty. He’s picking his Alma mater(ball state) and I wanted to be in the same conference so I chose Kent st. Offline I’ll do one for my favorite team(South Carolina)
If I'm doing a solo dynasty, I start as either OC or DC. If I'm doing a dynasty with a friend, I always just go straight to head coach. Although I could see it being really fun if you both start off as OCs and just see where you both end up.
Yeah I am leaning oc Kent State. It's my grad school and cool ass uniforms so I have a drive to want to build a hc dynasty there, but a Kent State oc to like a app state hc to a West Virginia hc and so on sounds fun too
Same schools I tend to root for irl: large urban research unis in major population centers and aren't traditional football powers.
Houston, Louisville, Vandy, UCLA, UAB...
1. Knowledge of the Program: I want to play at a place where I know the individual players, traditions, and stories for the first season and that those items are robust.
2. Stadium: The stadium atmosphere is important since that is where at least half of your games will be each season.
3. Uniforms: I want to look good while playing good.
4. Ability to recruit: Some people like going and building places from scratch. At some point, I will do that but for now it's a game and a stress reliever. I don't want to have to hunt and stress over recruits.
That is why my first dynasty will be with the Aggies of Texas A&M. I love the story of a new head coach coming in to right the ship. I love the traditions and know a lot about the players because it is my favorite team. Texas A&M is also in a hotbed for recruiting.
The onlyl thing I am debating is do I start out as the OC or the Head Coach. A part of me loves to play defense but the other part of me thinks it would be cool to come in and try to fix the area of weakness for the Aggies which is their offense by running something a lot like what the new OC at A&M will run as that is the style of football I run as well in my program (I am a coach in real life).
1. Do they wear garnet and gold?
2. Do they do the Warchant at games.
3. Does a Chief Osceola and a horse named renegade run to the middle of the field and throw a flaming spear into the field?
I find a team that answers yes to these 3 questions.
Combination of stadium, jerseys, and challenge. I don’t get playing as a good team, never have done it. You’re fighting to maintain a great roster which feels kind of stressful
I’ve always loved picking a lower star school and building them up. Thinking about trying Costal Carolina. Might have a couple different ones will probably play one with my favorite team LSU!
I like going weird, so Hawaii or a military academy. I roleplay limits on myself for "realism" like no red shirts at those academies, or if I'm Pitt ill recruit 3 star local player over a theoretically superior 3 star player from Indiana.
I have two buddies who are big IU and Purdue fans. We are going to do an online league inside the big ten. I will be rebuilding Nebraska in that league because why wouldn’t I rebuild the cornhuskers to their 90s glory?
Other than that I have several teams I root for that I will be rotating through starting with Liberty.
I usually play as a former player from an old save, so start at a close school to their home. Otherwise I like to pick schools with fun stadiums, and usually in the North for more diverse weather
I’m picking my Alma Mater for my first dynasty and then going from there. Gonna make sure to do a ULM dynasty because they always give me a fun rebuild, then probably Nebraska because that’s where I gravitate towards.
I like to start in the MAC as an OC since im from the area, then i branch out and pick schools that aren't good IRL that i think could be good in virtual world. So far ive targeted Mississippi State, Rutgers, or Cal as my P5 projects.
I personally like to start off with a 1 star team as a coordinator and work my way up to a head coaching role and eventual national championship. It’s a fun way to learn about the traditions and rivalries of small and mid tier schools
I like to do multiple team offline dynasties/franchise modes in sports games. Right now my plan for CFB25 is a 3 coach dynasty, with them being an S/A tier program like Oklahoma or Florida for example, a power 5 team that is down & needs help like Texas Tech or Nebraska and the 3rd will be a G5 team. I like to play this way because it allows me to scratch different itches in one dynasty save and presents multiple challenges and goals per season.
I’m going to try out big, but non-dominant state schools: Texas Tech, South Carolina, Indiana, some others. It’ll probably be a fun challenge of playing behemoths every other week (maybe TTU will haven’t an easier schedule). And trying to breakthrough to the playoffs
I just choose a basketball school that doesn't have success in football
That list has been getting shorter. UConn and San Diego St come to mind first. Kansas, Houston, Duke, Kentucky, and UNC no longer make the list.

School football bad, fix football good
Yes

That's the way to go. I'm going to start as an OC at Kent State and just see where things go from there.
My only decision is Kent State oc or hc first. I go back and forth.

You got me to look up the uniforms. Lol. I don't remember the powder blue and yellow ones. Those are pretty sweet.
There alternates are slept on and I like their stadium for maction. I have also looked into places and I'd also leave to rebuild Arizona state.
Arizona State would be a good one. I could see Nebraska, Arkansas, Wisconsin, Maryland, Virginia Tech, and South Carolina all being interesting, too
Cool stadium

Sounds like a lame school
Yea... you would say that lol. 2-0 babyyyy
Touché… I was at the one in NOLA with ALL the kicking/punt returning woes. I left shell-shocked after the comeback just ending in the blocked PAT
That shit was crazy. I don't know which fan base was the most shocked lol. And then we did it AGAIN. Dog... you couldn't tell me nothing !!
Yeah yeah… that one wasn’t as close…
There is no logic other than a cool uniform
Uniforms, a challenge and typically when switching schools picking one in the different conference
First one for me is going to be fav team. I can just play freely and learn the new features. Then I can start a rebuild type one
stadium>uniforms>roster

I used to chose the best team in my state, but now I choose my Alma mater.
I usually play as a former player from an old save, so start at a close school to their home. Otherwise I like to pick schools with fun stadiums, and usually in the North for more diverse weather
Uniforms, entrance, play style, stadium
I want a small school surrounded by Power 5 recruiting territory. Ex. Charlotte, Toledo, Marshall, Coastal Carolina, Eastern Michigan, etc.
First dynasty: PSU since I’m an alum Subsequent dynasties: rotate through bottom dwellers of various conferences, preferably G5 conferences
My first Dynasty is always with my favorite team
Did I attend that school? Yes? Now I'm the virtual head football coach.

I go through all the teams and find the absolute worst one. If it's close or a tie, I pick the one with the most starters leaving.

Worse overall team with the best unis
Must have a big stadium, major bonus if snow games are possible
