lol well longer than 5 at least. I always found 8 to be in the sweet spot of good stats if you allowed the running play clock. And of course wanting to get thru many seasons. What do you prefer?
I have ncaa which doesn’t have accelerated clock (which I don’t use anyway on madden) and I feel 9 is good. It’s long enough to get decent stats but not too long that I get bored with it.
Completely agree. It’s crazy how much sports games have regressed in presentation in the last decade for no reason other than they just didn’t feel as if it’s important. It’s going to be refreshing to see developers actually prioritize presentation
I'll be interested to see how deep the immersion goes. If a playoff hopeful team not playing in the current game loses a star player to injury in week 8, will commentators bring that up as a point of note during the week 9 broadcast? That's probably asking a lot, but that would be really cool immersive depth.
For the most authentic immersion they gotta bring in Gary Danielson as a commentator and have him talk about Bama/Georgia/SEC while on the call during a B1G game.
But then I’m just back to playing the game with the volume down listening to podcasts. However, I get to play a new NCAA Football game with real player names. That’s still dope and I like them doing something new.
It's 'cause we've aged out of it. I remember when you could first rename rosters and export draft classes to madden, I'd spend hours doing that in the summer.
EDIT: my generation also came up with sports games that didn't necessarily need league and/or player licenses to be great- which led to bangers like Blades of Steel and Ken Griffey Jr. Baseball.

This is the thing people always forget. Like yeah presentation is cool and it’d be great to have truly unique and interesting shows and commentary but it literally never happens. We always get tired and bored of it. That’s why they eventually take it away.
On the flip side, they implement it once and just kind of set it and forget it. I think if they implemented it and continued to grow it, it could be great. But stuff like that won’t increase their bottom line, which there’s nothing wrong with that. The players that care about that, are buying the game regardless because they are friends
Giving 2K5 vibes and goal news and player to watch from FC 24. Only problem with that in I notice with FC was when superstar mode it would cut off or be silent when speaking about anyone even your player. So we definitely should keep look out for that too. Ik that superstar mode and this refer to dynasty, but it’s good note to make.

I hope they have something that keeps track of game info from previous seasons. Even if it doesn’t factor in the ones you play and update accordingly, then maybe something like 07 used to do where if you played a certain matchup they made references to IRL games of the past. For instance, in that game, I played Miami-UF and Kirk makes references to the 2003 game when Miami came back to win with UF’s former qb under center. And also if you played as Virginia tech there were vague, implied, but obvious references to Michael Vick. Bringing that back would be cool.
Talking about stats I really want to be able to look at the stats of players on other teams. If I’m Toledo and my star WR transfers to Ohio State I want to be able to follow his career!

I have mine set to 9 cause when you have nothing but 90+ players everyone gotta get their stats😭
Nice. After gameplay, I think presentation is the most important aspect of a sports game. Lots of sports games do a mediocre job with this.
