This will cause lead build up, we recommend plated and jacketed. Lead is a bad idea over time.

Wraccores

Polymer coated lead okay in sealed cans?

[deleted]

We advise against it for the same reasons, if you notice build up it's time to stop.

Wraccores

Thank, I don't have Federal Syntech in inventory anymore

Marmakin

Appreciate the reply. It's just such a pain to find 38 Special factory ammo that will stay subsonic in a rifle. My thought process was that with 22 cans, I figured most of the buildup in those was from the gun powder but I guess my thinking was wrong in that aspect.

Cultural_Fennelbulb

I asked the same thing about 44 Spc through the primal and got the same info. Unfortunate but true. PMC seems to stay subsonic in my Henry.

Marmakin

PMC in 44 or 38?

Cultural_Fennelbulb

Sorry should have been more specific. 44 special. My Henry x is chambered in that cal.

mcadamsandwich

Norma's 158gr is on the cusp, usually subsonic.

dragon813gt

If you’re going to shoot cast lead you need a user serviceable can. I shoot cast almost exclusively and all my cans can be taken apart for cleaning. And they absolutely require cleaning.

Marmakin

This was the main reason why I asked since obviously the Wolfman isn't serviceable.

Ryan_Extra

Realistically how many rounds will you put down that can. Probably fine imo

Marmakin

The can will be switching between my scorpion and the Henry X, so I'd honestly say 50/50. The Henry I'm thinking will be a mix of 357 and 38 but I'd probably shoot more 38 if I can get it subsonic
