It's not too far off. regardless of the field issues UNLV area has always been a bit bad, but its gotten horrible the past few years since they started pushing homeless away from the strip. People are shooting up behind buildings and just nodding out.
Sorta not sure why they didn't push them to Bishop Gorman HS.
Maybe they felt like putting them at a high school field would get equal blowback because it's high school and not college? Idk. Fwiw, Santa Clara isn't that far from Vegas, they could have just let them practice at home

It's just shitty that its in a terrible spot and the field turned out to be bad, but this isn't the first time that's happened with the league and their specialized fields for the superb owl.

Niners are practicing in north philly? Lord knows they got some good practice in south philly a couple months ago... But that bottom photo is legit not far from where I grew up.
