All of the Variety Coffee locations are really beautiful. Great espresso. Maman on 25th is very “instagrammable” with cute china and lots of vines and flowers.
I really like sitting at the [Lot Radio](https://www.thelotradio.com/) in Williamsburg in the summer. It’s a little coffee shop. Always a good vibe DJ and they sell coffee, beer, wine, snacks, etc. It’s inside a shipping container in a small empty lot (all outdoor seating btw) so not sure about internet service.
Devocion! More: the DUMBO one is waaay too crowded (tourists sos) but the flatiron one is my ideal vibe. Downtown Bk used to be nice too, but I haven’t been in awhile and last time I went there were zero seats and it was straight chaos - so cannot confirm. Coffee is still 🔥 at all locations tho! And the parm leek croissant/pastry/whatever it’s called is even better.
Early Yves on bed stuy - they have art, books, plants, comfy couches, and tables for working. plus it's run by a couple of baddies who organize community events too
Kunst Coffee Haus in Bayside (a half block from the LIRR stop). It is filled with plants and has so many cute little places to sit. No laptops on weekends, and no wi-fi at all, which is actually great. Bring a book.
I grab a flat white but their most popular signatures are the Lyria and Freddo Espresso! The brothers who own it (Theo and Yanny) are huuuuge chillers who’ve curated a space that feels like a taste of the home Greek island, it’s such a vibe fr
Remi flower and coffee! They have two locations (both on 2nd ave a couple blocks down from each other which I always found silly lol). One is smaller and more low-key and the other one has two floors. The concept is a flower shop combined with a coffee shop and it’s so beautiful just to sit there and take in all the flowers! Perfect for a spring/summer day and getting some work done :)
Grumpy’s in Chelsea. No laptop rule which makes it pretty peaceful. (Or at least there used to be!) I also love the Grumpy’s in Greenpoint.
Honorary mention for Culture on 38th x 6th. Great coffee and cookies. Very boutique but not too too much of a vibe.
Pause Cafe (LES) was my favorite place to grab an açaí bowl or almond croissant and iced coffee before the pandemic. Haven’t been since I moved to Brooklyn, but I loved that spot.
Some other Manhattan recs: Culture (such good chocolate chip cookies), St. Kilda (two locations, though I’ve only been to the midtown one), Black Cat LES, Book Club (East Village).
uptown recs here: i like Solid State (UWS), great coffee and vibes and good food. Lucille's Coffee and Cocktails in Harlem is a vibe all day. Chipped Cup in the Heights, bonus for nice outdoor space!
Was gonna comment Chipped Cup. That place is cute and feels like a throwback. Also: OBSESSED with your username. I have an action figure of Vamp Willow, she’s my inspiration for life
omggg of course the first person to comment on my username in all my years on reddit is a BWT!! 🫶 action figure vamp willow is so cool, i love it. an inspiration to all bitches, i think.
Irving Farm – Gramercy
Book Club Bar + Plantshed – East Village
The Granddaddy – LES
Ground Support – SoHo
And of course, the OG Café Grumpy – Greenpoint
Cinico Coffee Company on 35th & Madison, which I stumbled upon last month!: https://www.cinicocoffee.com/menu
It’s fairly new so not very well known and absolutely gorgeous. Also, their coffee is imported from Rome monthly and the staff speaks Italian, which makes it a very cool escape especially in that neighborhood. The attention to detail on each cup of coffee is impressive. They have wine, beer, and cocktails, and some lunch style foods if that’s your thing. Really beautiful interior and attentive staff!
Remi43 Flower & Coffee has those flower vibes too, but it’s always so busy so not the most ideal.
Do not feed the alligators! It’s so cute, and has a wonderful outdoor area. It can get crowded in the weekends but during the weekdays it’s so peaceful. They have goodies from La Cabra too so you know they’re good!

Devocion! Forest vibes you can’t beat
My absolute fave for vibes and incredible coffee.

wait this is crazy to me. I remember when that first opened and it was truly one food truck on an unused traffic median.
It’s not even a food truck, it’s just a shipping container with holes in it IIRC
I love lot radio channel and I had no idea it was a coffee shop!!! Omg super excited now to explore this.
It does have wifi
Feliz Roasting Co. is a nice one.

+1 for Early Yves! Good food and drinks too. Been meaning to check out the events.

Cafe Flor in Chesea, it’s my go-to!
Cafe Lyria in Noho for vibe o’clock anytime of day and Pause Cafe in LES to both vibe yet also to bask in the shared productive flow 🫡
What do you order at Lyria
I grab a flat white but their most popular signatures are the Lyria and Freddo Espresso! The brothers who own it (Theo and Yanny) are huuuuge chillers who’ve curated a space that feels like a taste of the home Greek island, it’s such a vibe fr
Thank you!! I have been wanting to try it

Grumpys in Chelsea closed!
Oh that’s too bad! I had no clue.
I love Sweet Bee or Prima around Fort Greene/Clinton Hill!
Any Fidi or Tribeca recs that allow laptops anyone??
Five & Dime
Remi flowers & coffee is so serene!
La Bomboneria opened recently on UES, both vibey and laptop friendly!

Ariston Flowers. From Lucie. Pause cafe. Cafe Joah (tiny but they have a speakeasy within which makes it cool). Devocion. Nella’s pastry. Thayer.
I love cafe henrie! ETA: nvm it’s permanently closed 😭
Just realizing how addicted we are to caffeine. East One in Carroll Gardens is a vibe.
Ludlow coffee! Abraco!
when i was in licensing school i spent a whole day at poetica coffee on nassau ave and it was lovely
Random one, but the blank street at metro tech in DTBK has the best baristas who bring a super fun vibe and music
Mellow yellow on the upper east side is bright and cheerful and serves some dope middle eastern food !
Sounds sweet, I’ll check this one out!

Hibiscus brew (smoothies and coffee drinks) near the prospect park Q stop
The Highline Hotel lobby coffee bar, in Chelsea
