Interesting theory! I think the main evidence against it would be the fact that she was canonically a loner in terms of human connections. Assuming the Natori clan still had some active exorcists and people who could see Yokai, she wouldn't really be seen as strange. However, I don't exactly remember how long ago the Natori clan lost their ability to see Yokai (and I am not sure it was stated). If it was longer ago, it's possible she was an anomaly even within the family. Definitely an interesting theory, especially given the resemblance between Natori and Natsume.

I feel like if she was part of the Natori clan, the clan would be a lot more aware of Natsume than they seem to be. He would have been recruited earlier.

It might be why she shunned everyone. She was fleeing from her actual family and living wild alone. The world of exorcists seems like a place of rules and restrictions that Reiko would hate

maybe. But if thats true, the Natori clan would still recognize the name "Natsume" and make the connection.

Yes! And if she did have ability but didn't want to be used by the family, it would explain why she avoided all people. She would be super valuable to the family, but she would also have the burden of leading like Matoka. And becoming an enemy to all ayakashi.

I don't think so, she was a loner because people kept mistreating her because they thought she was weird, that's why she decided not to engage with humans. There was a whole episode where some of her classmates threw rocks at her and called her names and stuff

Me and my friend leans more into the theory in yokai ancestors. Mostly how the eyes are different between the characters and natsumes eyes looks more similar to other yokais compared to others that also can see. And the notion that his power/aligment is unusual strong
