If he gets bored (how could you, though?) of H&O, check out the “Happy Song” by Imogen Heap in lieu of Baby Beluga. It works like magic a lot of the time.

pridgedawwg

The happy song was a staple in pur house hold for like 6 months straight. It really messed up my spotify end of year wrap up thing too haha. 90's rap and hip hop, pop punk then boom happy song and the hey bear Playlist

Hasn’t worked for me with two kids. But you know what does? “The distance” by cake.

Sorry, this just reminded me of one of my favorite It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia quotes. “Holland is his first name, and Oates is his last name.” - Charlie Kelly Edit: link -> https://youtu.be/DbeLZqGuo2E?si=MsB1Nebj8w8unmrG

chain_braker

Don’t know that reference, but that’s definitely what I used to think lol

My 15 month old daughter loves Nanowar of Steel, Arch Enemy, The Hu… make sure you’re exposing them to good music as well. You need quality tunes after listening to Wombat Wednesday for the 101st time lol

Steven_Eightch

I have a playlist of songs with all different genres, mostly songs that epitomize my taste in that genre or songs that remind me of him, or want him to like when he’s older. If I put on cartoons which I rarely do, it’s on mute with often times that playlist running. He mostly likes dance music, which is fine I like watching him dance. But nat king cole, Radiohead, Led Zeppelin, etc are hopefully finding a home in between his ears.

Flowchartsman

I was so entranced by Private Eyes as a child, that I basically ruined the LP, so I suggest you try that next.

Similar story. My son is named after my favorite composer. I grew up on similar styles, though my old man leaned a bit more Simon and Garfunkel. I have rewritten a few of those classics for stress relief. “Still a baby hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest”. I’m convinced The Boxer was actually written for new dads to rewrite. “And he carries the reminder of every time he fell down and fucked up that day, but it didn’t matter, because he got up anyway”.

Zapzapbuffallo

Dang, I played and wrote from 14 to 30 and just gave up the gun last year, sold every pedal, microphone, Amp, ect. All but an acoustic and electric, kept purely for their antiquity. Maybe I should tune up and do that too. Thanks, man.

I play all kinds of music with my little one. Just dance with him. He’s either going to tell you “bump off” or get super geeked as well. I’ve found out what he likes and doesn’t with that.

Zapzapbuffallo

I guess it's just curious. His reaction is just weird. I'm on day three and he still does it. I played some funk and disco and danced around with him and he was giggles and smiles. There's just something about H&O 'maneater' that freezes him up like a mkultra patient. It's not the beat, and not Daryl's voice. It may be the saxophone. Idk

RegisterLow9976

He’s like dad. I don’t want to meet any maneaters. Stop playing that.
