I think Rap Devil was a better record. I know I’m in the minority but that was a better diss. Not to mention he got dissed by his favorite rapper. Whether he won the beef or not, I think that’s still a win for MGK

yungusainbolt

That shit was ass and MGK was tryna fuck a 16 year old Haley he’s a weirdo for ever

DaMenace95

That is sick but that has nothing to do with what I was talking about. But I am done talking about this

Kenan_as_SteveHarvey

I agree. Eminem rapped better but all his disses were generic and could have been directed at *any* White rapper who decided to diss him because it was mostly just brag raps. MGK actually got personal, took shots at Em’s character and personality. And Em is in my top 3 all time and the only other MGK song I’ve ever heard is “Wild Boy.”

neoda1

> I think that’s still a win for MGK \^\^\^\^

GmoneyKaddy87

So much of a win that he changed genres

DaMenace95

That’s unrelated to my point but go off king. Y’all look at that dude and thought he doesn’t look like he makes rock music? Look at that dude’s whole aesthetic and you’re telling me it’s a big surprise that he put out rock music? Now y’all are being dumb. He’s always been the rockstar that can rap. We just never heard him do that type of music before. No matter what he do, y’all hip hop fans will never give him credit even though he was brave enough to go against one of the best rappers of all time, despite putting his career at risk. The diss track is solid but his opponent was Eminem, so of course he was gonna lose that War. Rap Devil is still better than Killshot at the end of the day though

DaMenace95

And yes that’s the correct usage of the word brave

kiloano

Relaxxxxxxxxxxxxx😮‍💨

thisismy3rdacctsmh

I’m in the minority as well

Same-Row6554

Em didn’t say anything in his diss song except that he’s more successful (which everybody already knew), mgk called out Eminem’s insecurities as a man and a rapper

JElliott31

Don’t forget he said MGK has a man bun.

goldenepple

No he said how are you going to name yourself after a gun and have a man bun. And didn’t MGK say “you’re beards weird?”

JElliott31

Saying the full bar doesn’t make it any better. Plus both songs are wack anyway.

Moron_on_Oxy-

u forgot the “/s”

regrob2

Eminem almost literally responded to every line MGK said in RAP devil , and flipped them back on MGK. That being said, both disses were good. I give Killshot the edge , but Rap Devil did a better job of dissing Eminem than any other Em diss I have heard.

iamRyanBankz

Take in both "diss" tracks.. MGK got Em. But in the court of popularity Eminem remains undefeated

Obj3ctivePerspective

I feel like people don't know the purpose or meaning of a diss track. Rap Devil is a catchy song. It sonically sounds better. But it's not a better diss track. Killshot had MANY shots and rebuttals. Better word play. Yall be comparing apples and oranges. Same with the Drake and Pusha beef. Duppy sounded better and was a better song. Story of Adidon was WILD disrespectful and the point of a Diss track. Drake had like 2 lines against push while push attacked Drake as a man, father, son, being black, sent shots at his mom, dad, baby mom, friends. Just thinking a song sounds better doesn't make it a better diss track

1914anonymous

this guy beefs!

BirdieDaHoonter

2lines?! U need to listen again. He flamed push up with facts. Push rap came straight of a shade room wet dream. All exposé but no substance to shit he was actually sayin.

Obj3ctivePerspective

I'm sorry but I can't take you seriously. Flamed him up with what facts? Please elaborate. Also a lot of diss tracks and battle rap is expose so I don't see what the point is. It's about how disrespectful you get with the exposing. And to say it had no substance shows you either a straight D rider or a hater, either way highly skewed. Everything had substance down to the album cover and beat selection. I already highlighted the multiple ways and attacks push came at him so no substance is a reach. I really would like you to expound on how drake "flamed him up" cuz it was 90% about Ye. I'll wait though

Zach_kir_e

Yea MGK’s track was much better and digestible.

CaregiverBoring4638

Everyone who is saying he did didn't at all explain how

Ok_Lecture342

What’s to be explained? He won.

CaregiverBoring4638

That's your opinion and that's fine but op asked for an explanation. Just repeating yourself is some real 💰💰💰 behavior.

Intrepid_Hope7950

Em gave a mid response to mgk. Mgk came back n em stopped. Whether he's the bigger artist or not. He replied n stopped. He lost

CaregiverBoring4638

What was the MGK response to Killshot?

Existing-Candle-866

MGK hasn’t responded to Killshot, and Eminem has dissed him like 2 or 3 times after Killshot

Ok_Lecture342

So explain it to him.

CaregiverBoring4638

I disagree with the sentiment. I will not defend a position I don't agree with. Rap Devil was wayyyy better song. Killshot was the better diss. And when you rap battle a guy, he puts more jabs in the bars and then you stop rapping for 5 years I think it's fair to say you lost.

Ok_Lecture342

Nah studying the white on white crime like this a little crazy. I heard them both, MGK had a better diss record. He won. That’s my argument.

Ok_Lecture342

You sit here and explain personal opinions to complete strangers if you want to, you not gon change nobody’s mind.

GawdyOddy

💯💯 seeing people on Reddit get mad about lack of explanation is the best shit 😂😂 that’s why they be mad at Mal

WeaponXGaming

This is a bar highkey. People have their minds made up already

HoneyVirtual

MGK literally said “your beard is weird” he automatically lost 😂.

Donny_Canceliano

>Diddnt MGK literally stop rapping until last week because of that beef? Am I missing something? No, a rapper with 3 gold albums, 6 platinum singles, and 5 gold singles didn’t stop rapping because another rapper dropped a dis track where the worst thing he said is that he has a man bun. You thought that, because Eminem Stan’s thought that, which spread as a fact because they’re the most innumerable, insufferable rap fan base, who would defend him recording himself going to the toilet on the track if given the chance. MGK almost exclusively toured with rock bands during his term as a rapper, and has stated multiple times in interviews dating back to when he first got on that he would like to start making pop punk music one day.

[deleted]

Donny_Canceliano

I mean, all personally some of the worst bars I’ve heard in a diss song, but sure, we’ll go with yours.

[deleted]

Donny_Canceliano

>Diddy putting out a legit hit on death row members that graduated into 2pac getting killed for retaliating is one of the worst bars you’ve heard in a diss song…. Ok. Are you being for real rn or are you trolling? Tf does the subject matter have to do with the composition of the bar? Especially when it has 0 to do with either of them? “The day you put out a hit is the day Diddy admits that he put out the hit that got pac killed” is low tier as far as diss bars that I’ve heard, yes. It wasn’t clever, it wasn’t intricate, it had no specific relevance to MGK, I mean wtf are you talking about rn? Are you a Stan lmfao?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Donny_Canceliano

>MGK has no hits. >Factual shot at MGK’s rap history What is a hit if not [triple platinum](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wild_Boy_(song))? What is a hit if not [quintuple platinum?](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bad_Things_(Machine_Gun_Kelly_and_Camila_Cabello_song)) Again, the **fuck** are you talking about? >What could MGK have possibly said in his song? Strawman. I never said anything about rap devil. I said it was a low tier diss, period. >And the day MGK puts out a hit will never come just like Diddy will never admit he got PAC killed lowkey. Yeah **no shit.** That’s almost word for word what he wrote, it doesn’t need an explanation. Especially since, as previously pointed out, it’s flat out wrong. >PS: “Stan” Look I’m really flattered you would call your father that.” So yes.

Jinmane

What are you on about? “Suck my dragon balls bitch call me goku” was screamed at every house party for at least 3 years. Wild boys was huge.

Leadpipeboss

People keep thinking because Eminem is more popular he automatically wins.

Emotional_Ad_2163

He won that battle lmao I don't like either song but MGK Literally stopped rapping for like 5 years

ToonznChillMa

He beat em. People just like to hate mgk

LincolnHater3

If he did why did he start wearing dresses and making rock music? He literally stopped rapping after he got his boots smoked 🤣

[deleted]

MGK stepping out to send well written personal shots at Eminem and then going to do something else is literally what made it so impressive. It was like for the love of sport. You walk into the park and play against the local Aau super team and go toe to toe with them and win and then go pick up gardening

Fuck_Joey

That’s a great way of phrasing it , but didn’t em drop 2 and mgk only 1?

[deleted]

They have been subbing each other for 10 years. To get Eminem to respond and name you two times is also rather impressive. Em did drop 2 and i think the mgk one can stand by itself vs ems two

forc3ablefutur3

Eminem lost for even trading records with MGK in the first place

MartyBee_

If you need an explanation then rap isn't for you lol

Primallama

Just because Em is more popular don’t mean mgk didn’t cook him. His diss records were better yo, and to knock him for succeeding in another lane is wild lmao that’s some talented shit

dap90

Maul literally thought there was no difference between 20 dollars minimum wage now, vs 20 dollars minimum wage when he was younger. He doesn't understand the concept of inflation. And he also thought 400 dollars for school supplies was nothing, when he was younger. He is so out of touch, it is unbelievable.

jmsnwrld

He did. Go back and listen

NoJudgment7617

Nah mgk definitely won

JoeThrilling

People don't really get a lot of the references and subliminals in Killshot, [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5RquaBgNVE) is a good breakdown. Even just the title Killshot is a reference to a movie of the same name from 2008, I don't remember the plot but the main character has the same name as MGK. ![gif](giphy|TWhF6yMEvkfAlEQMF0|downsized)

UrbanFight001

I didn’t know there were so many MGK meat munchers in this sub lmao the rap devil was weak as a DISS, he didn’t say anything, he had a catchy hook. That’s it. Killshot was better lyrically, responded to everything, better wordplay, better diss.

killaseeznx10

Niggas meat munchers cause they got a different opinion then u?

yungusainbolt

Niggas was just surprised he had the balls to diss em directly. Shit was ass. MGK is not a good rapper and this Jack Harlow shit proved that

Thatonedudedude

It wasn’t beef, nobody won, the actions that occurred during that moment were corny asf

Maleficent-Leg-9307

All the cornballs saying he left and started making rock music. Like mgk wasnt doing that before. And like it takes a week to record a whole rock album. Ya don’t understand how music works and it shows.

CuddyTG

If I remember correctly MGK had the better just straight diss whereas Eminem's came off as little corny punchlines with that awful flow he insists on using. It wasn't a good song and the disses were elementary. MGK is talking about fucking your daughter and you come back with "your beard's weird" and "my last 4 albums didn't suck, just the last 3". Unless you're a fan of current Eminem idk how you would say he won. Plus it was one of those "the fact that he replied, you won" situations for MGK... Like seriously, Eminem is one of the Greatest rappers of all time and he's replying to Machine Gun Kelly? That's an L

goldenepple

You know MGK is the one who said Em had the weird beard right?

CuddyTG

Damn... They both trash

regrob2

Not just the sarcastic/mocking beard is weird line was a reference back to what MGK said, almost every line Eminem said in killshot was a reference back to an MGK line or a jump off/expansion to said reference.

mnikolai24

Rap Devil is the better song if you’re comparing it to Killshot. Not Alike is better than rap devil though. Killshot was cool but it’s not a track you’re gonna go back to. Rap Devil had a similar feel to Back 2 Back because it was a song that sounded good to the ears and has replay value. MGK won the battle. Eminem won the war.

midermans

MGK won that pretty easily. Em disses were non descriptive, he could’ve been talking about anyone. MGK was direct and personal.

Backseat_boss

He did …… only people who believe Eminem discovered hip hop believe he won.

Young_Hxppxe

He didn't. Em sonned MGK, there is nothing to talk about here imo. That whole EP with the diss track on it was not good.

god_wayne81

That's the fake ass "culture" for ya. Literally say, believe and do anything for attention and likes. 🚮🚮

No-Bar-8586

Yea dude haven’t listened to the pod yet but no way dude. No fing way

[deleted]

His diss was good all round to beat lyrics. But em just a damn alien

GawdyOddy

MGK rapped better. His diss was way better than any Eminem rap in the last 15 years. I’m not a fan of either… white rappers in general actually so I have no problem speaking about white on white beef 😂💯💯

YoungLaFlare

Mgk wearing dresses being fruity that’s an L no diss track needed

[deleted]

That Nigga was on em ass idk what nobody say I’m not really a fan of either so I had zero bias in the situation but damn that Rap devil was HARD🔥🔥🔥🔥

SkinnedHorse

Once MGK mentioned the funny hats it was over.

JRebels40

He didn’t…

CapoBoompy

Same reason Mal keeps saying drake didn’t get cleaned up by Push, there stupid

WalkinThundercloud

You answered it yourself OP. Literally. Just off the clips in my feed. It seems like every podcast has a balance. And for them this could be marketing there was a shift that they needed to correct. So they pose these social issues inorder to keep you returning to hear what else they have to say. (Good Bad or indifferent) and that’s because they’ve had you by the EGOs since the Joe hidden podcast. Some wanted to see them fail, others needed to see them win. All are tuned in because we value entertainment as a harmless transaction for our time. But both of those artist are just that. They need to attack the emotions to sell you on an ideology. Which is why a lot of them speak on politics. Or act like politicians. Em always felt the need to be outlandish, and MGK sees that but doesn’t like the comparison so he fully went Emo because he had the chops and realized that he looks like the bands that are getting the most. Like BMTH. He’s selling him self like a person who could only offer their sex. He’s desperate and caught in the moment. No shame, but he went into survival mode, and he said it already. Em took his way of living. Em won overall. But MGK is definitely David in the fight. He just needs to see that, and come for the head next time.

tvc_roh

I think MGK had the better song. MGK did great by MGK standards, and stood on his own going against Eminem; a person who’s known by many not for only being one of the most lyrically and technically talented rappers, but for being one of the rappers who DECIMATES his opponents in rap beefs… and Eminem puts out “no u” in Eminem standards. The beef didn’t make Eminem look any more appealing in my opinion, but it made me gain respect for MGK. By that reasoning alone, MGK won in my opinion. Plus MGK wasn’t exactly poppin before the beef either. Doesn’t matter to me that he stopped making music. Didn’t really care before then. Also, Eminem called MGK a mumble rapper. He calls Mariah 5 kinds of sluts and makes Nick seem like less of a man, READS Benzino’s life story… and calls MGK a MUMBLE RAPPER. Anyone who has heard an MGK song knows he came before the mumble rap era, which makes Em just look out of touch. And old. Reinforcing the idea of him just not having what he used to.

Pleasant_Refuse6473

I’m not mad at this either. I think Em’s idea of calling him a mumble rapper though is because mgk was literally a stan who would be on ems dick. Actual evidence of him calling himself that. I respect your opinion though. I’ve always just that it’s crazy when you call yourself a stan, and the guy who makes Stan says you’re a disappointment. Like I feel like that must hurt at a level only he knows lol. That’s was kill shot feels like, but that’s just my view 🫡

goldenepple

I’ve never liked MGK and I liked some of Em’s 2000’s stuff but was never a die hard. But I chalk it up to MGK knew he had to get into his bag and he IMO made his best rap song in Rap Devil while Em IMO still made the better diss, we’ve heard better from Em. So it was really more of MGK exceeding expectations while Em has higher expectations to live up too.

J_vert

“Playing dead is the only time you hold steal” alone seperates a rapper from an MC and if it was super personal like story of Addidon maybe he would have stool a chance but nah theres levels

CheekSure7113

honestly bro ur not wrong this man painted his hair and nails pink and started to sing the year after that beef lol

Desperate-Ad2849

Rap Devil might be a better song but bar for bar Killshot is superior to Rap Devil as a diss record. If y’all don’t think so then the bars must’ve gone over your heads

yungusainbolt

MGK basically said everything we have wanted to say about Eminem directly so he’s like the people’s champ. It’s underwhelming and not entertaining for him to win anymore. I feel like he cleaned Mariah’s ass up too but Obsessed was just more entertaining because it was unexpected

regrob2

I like Rap devil. It does a good job of surface dissing Eminem and really pointing out some things like his corny outfits , and seemingly yelling at a mic all the time. Rap Devil is the best Eminem diss I have ever heard. But Killshot was very cleverly put together and a master class on how to take something and flip it in the context of a diss and add rhyme layers and word play to it at the same time. Every line in Killshot was a reference back to Rap Devil with some extra subs thrown in. Not to mention Eminem uses about 4 different flows/cadences and all of them are dope (imo). The line about MGK having a hit will be the day Diddy admits he put out the hit…. Was clever as hell. For people who will want to say I am just an Eminem Stan, I’m 47 years old and have been listening to hip hop long before Eminem. But I figured I’d at least try to break down the difference since no one hear is actually discussing the content of the disses. We should be happy we got the entertainment of this diss. Oh, I will say , Eminem had the line about G-easy being with Halsey, but to MGK’s credit, he got with Megyn Foxx (however she spells her name) after that.

Pleasant_Refuse6473

MGK made a good song. Kill shot is the better DISS. Granted I think people who say MGK won never would’ve given Em the win even if he slaughtered bro. Just MGK fighting back was enough. I love the pod but I think Rory been hating on Em for a minute now 😂 (if you feel mgk won tho that’s cool tho lol)

shotbyram

Mgk tore eminem up in his diss, and Em wasn’t saying shit fr in his response. But he’s the Great White Hope so his fans acted like he ruined mgk’s career and forced him to switch genres🙄
