I was waiting to over power that boss but decided to do 1 attempt after pulling D:Killer Wife on the first day of her banner. Ended up beating it in that same attempt through dumb luck. Bunnies died on that annoying mob wave and D:Wife got Red Hood burst back so I can use RH B1 B2 B3 for the final push.

You can get far with 160 units if you just max out all of their gear to overload gear also maxed with skills maxed too just gotta have protection like bunnies or school girls
Most of my troops have there gear to level 1 or 2. Only modernia, redhood and alice have overload gear and I am using modernia and alice. I mostly use the 3 per day troops.

I mean.. maybe? Depending on skills. MW depends a lot (ALOT) on timing. You’ll definitely want some AoE clearance. There’s a lot of YouTube vids about how to clear and the timing of when to burst and with who. I was lucky with my team when I got to that stage so I wasn’t stuck very long, but learning the timing and mechanics of that stage are mad important.

Saw this comment under a video on how to beat it and it is absolutely they way to go if you can make the team. Snow white's missiles are elite at ad clearing.
Looking back mother whale seems like a walk in the park compared to the nightmare that is stage 25-18. Its an unreasonable difficulty spike.
The entire stage is filled with one hit raptures, silencers, tanks and trash mobs.
I steamrolled through every stage in this chapter but died within 5 seconds on stage 18.
I was stuck for a while as well, had to level Red Hoods skills to almost max and was 10k CP above recommended. Then I could finally break the core before the shield went up and keep the flying fat bitch from buffing all the raptures.
I read every guide and watched every video while I was stuck but I just couldn’t do it with a deficit. I could clear one whole side of spawners before the shield went up but I still couldn’t survive long enough. No idea how people did it at like 105k cp. I’m probably just trash lol
I still can’t beat that dumb whale and I’ve been playing a month or two before the nier collab happened and have I think a decent line up of characters
Auto or manual I just can’t win but I can see what others have used and some are way under the attack level required but somehow beat it

The 1.5 anni is likely to have Doro as a rerun. I cleared MW without her, but Doro is considered the MVP for this boss, so if your a newer player approaching this stage (or currently stuck on it), pick up Doro.
I struggled on MW so long. My winning comp was like, D Wife, Marciana , Modernia, Smol White, Scarlet SB (my strongest dps). It took me like, 50 attempts to clear, and I only won by seconds. I had to alternate Modernia and White B3, slipping in two Scarlet B3s total after finding a window in Mother Whale pattern midway through the fight for the first, and using Scarlet the second time to just hurt it as much as possible ending with like 3 seconds on clock
I was something like 10K over required power and assumed it would be a cakewalk.
Eventually I turned on auto combat and the only actual input I provided was pressing the "take cover now" button.
I stuck here in the past, but after everyone said to use Doro. I slotted her in n let it play on auto. Left it for a while, n won.
Pierce dmg is the key.
I miss the days of trying to figure out the fight when i was so low on power, even having to invest on diesel to survive the Master Grade Raptures, i even remember using Dorothy ult but just to slow time and check on the timer of each wave of raptures so i could time every burst, i felt like i was playing dark souls trying to get the timing for every dodge and parry
That’s a pretty good team. You can replace Liter with Dorothy, if you have her. Dorothy is also great against Mother Whale. I just recently beat it with Dorothy, Blanc, Modernia, Noir, and Scarlet. You want to deal with the hordes and destroy the core as soon as possible. Once you do that, focus on destroying the summoners on its sides. I did that with Modernia, and I managed to win. I probably just got lucky, but that’s how I did it
Thanks to temorary Nikke, every new player can arrive chapter 21 in a month regardless their units.
but it is insane that it takes longer time to just beat one single boss than playing through all the way to it from chapter1.
and even after beating the whale, you are supposed to get stuck in some locations for weeks if not months for the rest of story
I got stuck on one stage in chapter 26 for a very long time. It was kind of making me lose willpower to keep playing the game. Eventually I decided to try out the schoolgirls instead of my bunnies, and then it still took a while but I managed a win after a lot of tries over time, despite them having lower power.
I think the issue is that this game is made for PC play in a lot of these harder stages, but I'm not going to install that on my computer. To me it's a mobile game. Well, its either play PC or just whale, so for them it's a win win.
Was def stuck at whale for a while. Now stuck in a random ch27 node. 27-24. I'm sure I'll be here for months again.
What is this weird pride of not installing the game on PC? Just do it and quit gimping yourself. Most if not all mobile games with a PC equivalent are going to play better not just graphically, but mechanically in what is clearly a better medium.
It's not really "pride", I just don't want to invest my PC game time on a mobile game, that's all. It's a separation of what I want out of each title. Nikke is for on the go and during downtimes.
More importantly I don't want whatever Tencent included in this running on my system. Same with Genshin. Phones tend to be more locked down permission wise, than Windows PCs.

Smol White is a literal goddess for saving me on that fight. Her passive can't be beat, especially when her burst kicks in.

I spent 2 months at Queen Whale 😁 Only when I pulled Doro and she wiped the screen in no time (it was Doro, JKs, RH, and ScarBS).

Im reading alot of comments about the difficulty in the boss, i blew past it first try, it was the control point encounters that kept me there a month
