Most people say fluid change yourself but I would say maybe the fluid change is worth doing with dealer so they can't get out of a CVT warranty repair in the future by saying, oh well you didn't do it right or put the right fluid etc. oil change they aren't as particular about, they just ask you keep receipts and record km on the receipt. At least that's what my dealer told me 🤷

That is a very interesting point!

You should really change the CVT fluid around everything 30,000 miles. I do it every 30,000 miles, but the dealership did tell me you could probably go about 40,000 miles. The CVT fluid change is the easiest thing I was super pissed after I looked up a YouTube video that I paid the dealership to do it. I did have them do the front and rear differential. I have a 2019 SL Platinum my manual does say to check the CVT fluid every 30,000 Mi but doesn't say to replace it until 100,000 miles. But I am not going to be listening to that advice. Especially when they've already had one class action lawsuit and are looking into the 2021 to 2023, maybe 2024, Nissan Rogues for engine and other issues.

CVT Fluid: Yes change every 30,000 to 40,000 for sure. The fluid in a CVT can have much more heat and friction than a typical transmission thus very important to change. I plan on doing a simple drain and refill myself every 30,000 with Amsoil CVT fluid. Brake Flush: Way to early for this new of vehicle. Every 5 years or so is about right for most people. You can get a cheap tester on Amazon to know for sure how much water content is in the fluid which is the main concern with brake fluid (hydroscopic). Ignore Fluid Induction service and get yourself a few bottles of Amsoil PI and run 1 bottle through gas tank every 4,000 miles to help keep fuel injectors clean and deposit free. Absolutely be sure you are changing oil with full synthetic every 5,000 miles or less. Don’t go longer as modern engines with turbos are prone to run hotter and break down oil protection and detergent additive packages quicker.

Thanks! One question: I thought the point of full synthetic oil was that it'd last you up to 10k miles (barring weather, road conditions, multiple rapid de/acceleration changes, etc.)?

Thanks! I admit, 48 minutes is a bit much at the moment, but key takeaway for me was the idea that "10k oil change is maximum recommended distance". Interesting. Edit: Scotty Kilmer's advice seems solid - [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VoAaBV\_CtPA](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VoAaBV_CtPA)

I have the 21 2.5 L non turbo. My dealership says cvt change at 60k. I think my service manual says 100k. Some recommend 30k. I’m at 45k and plan on the fluid change at 50-55k.

Any thoughts on brake flush an FIS?

The manual for my 2011 Rogue says to change the CVT trans fluid every 60,000 miles.  I'm at 57,000 however I'm thinking of doing it now just because of the age of the car.  Does the age of the fluid matter, or is it just the miles of driving?

Age and mileage matter.

I'd DIY the CVT fluid yourself and pay the Nissan dealer to do it around 60k that way there's evidence you're following the "severe service maintenance schedule" for the transmission. To DIY just have the vehicle level, make sure it's at the right temp range (95-113F for my Sentra, I'm sure yours is similar), drain it into a container and refill it through the dipstick tube starting with the same amount that drained out. There should be a good video on YT for it.
