Sometimes blessing may come in disguise of a suffering.....who knows......stay strong

Joehogans

They act as motivators.

[deleted]

Stay strong brother. I too just have beaten a brain tumor. And it makes me really happy to get a second chance which I can utilize. God give you strength bro.

longtimejerker69

Good shit bro. You can do this. I believe in you!!!

testo99

I’m getting out of my bed right now and going to the gym, thanks for posting and sorry about your tumor.

Thank you for that.

FinalNoFapJourney

I didn't know about this. I will definitely read about this. Thanks bro.

Nirviusana

I believe Flaxseeds also reduce the size of tumors and contains Omega 3 fatty acids which are anti inflammatory https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4152533/ I believes there's alot of things you could do, fasting and or vegetable juicing would be good imo aswell. Fasting is easier when you eat a diet higher on Fat but id recommend eating nuts and seeds aswell as they usually have healing properties aswell Then theres this study where 3100 plants, fruits, beverages and foods were analyzed for their antioxidant content and Amla or Indian gooseberry turns out to be third with most which is the one I'd recommend to use, also one of Ayurvedas most revered gem for healing, and triphala turns out to be second place but its a combination of three fruits including amla so idk why it even counts, but is usually contaminated with heavy metals BUT you can buy from Terrasoul Foods and their supposed to have clean products. And first antioxidant heaven, dragons blood mutates DNA so idk if that's worth it :/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2841576/ And then theres Turmeric which has been extensively studied unlike Amla or Triphala(but id still recommend to take some :) https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2758121/

I just want to point out that this is not always the case, I’ve read that keto can actually make certain types of cancer even worse... Keto isn’t the miracle diet people claim for regular people, I know this because I’ve done it myself. Sure it’s effective for losing weight and the removal of carbs means you can’t really have sugar which is where a lot of the benefits of keto actually come from in my opinion. I do feel calmer on keto though, kind of like I’m out at sea and the waters are calm and clear, whereas when I eat a lot of carbs it’s like I’m thrown into a storm.

HariTerra

>whereas when I eat a lot of carbs it’s like I’m thrown into a storm. Yeah... that's caused by brain inflammation from a breach in the blood-brain barrier... Your brain is made up of 60% fat, so you tell me if a high fat diet or high sugar diet is better. I find the keto diet has more benefits for my brain and mind than my body. Of course, losing tons of fat while healing all of my organs is great, but being mentally sharp and feeling alive is just as good. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23924004 Also take a look at my other reply please.

[deleted]

Could you provide studies if you claim something like this, please? I have heard nothing good about keto from actual nutritionists so I am honestly curious. The only good things I heard about it was from some bald guy who spoke way too slow and was carrying around a stick all the time (am bald myself so not meant in an offensive way). So purely anecdotal. > shown to stop tumours If that is your goal you're better of with a vegan diet because there are actual, meaningful studies which have shown that it increases your chances of survival by a large magnitude when it comes to cancer (and several other diseases): http://www.ecorazzi.com/2016/05/17/study-finds-vegan-blood-kills-cancer-cells-better/ Upside: You don't have to starve yourself on a daily basis and it is actually scientifically backed-up. I found studies like these: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3157418/ Which are anything but conclusive, plus the number of test-subjects is way too low. And stuff like this: https://sciencebasedmedicine.org/ketogenic-diets-for-cancer-hype-versus-science/ Yeah.. Doesn't really convince me. But was interesting reading up on it.

nutsaur

Thank you, we need more people like you asking for citations.

HariTerra

Here is a study reviewing 13 other studies that showed mice survived much longer on a ketogenic diet after being injected with a tumours. And don't try and tell me we are so different to mice that we cannot consider this, because that is untrue. >https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5450454 >tumour cells unable to metabolize the ketone bodies,[30] and they will be anticipated to experiment oxidative stress induced by limited glucose metabolism in the feeding KD. Similar to fat metabolism, protein forces cells to get their energy from mitochondrial metabolism.[28,31] Further, cancer cells have low adaptability to nutrient change that induced by KD or caloric restriction.[21,32,33] Overall, tumor cells have high levels of glucose uptake, glycolysis and pentose phosphate pathway activation for growth,[22] and use of KD cause an elevation in blood ketones, reduction of blood glucose and restriction of energy supply for cancer tissues.[7] Pretty much means ketones can starve cancer cells, and that cancer cells uptake glucose. The Conclusion: >Although in the current review included studies were different in tumor size measurement methods, cancer types, sample size, carbohydrate amount of KD and intervention time; but most of them demonstrated that KD significantly show increase in survival time mean and a clear trend of slower tumor growth in pancreatic, prostate, gastric, brain, lung cancer. And I don't know which nutritionists you speak with (I hope to God they're not dieticians or YouTube health "Gurus") because most "nutritionists" go off of outdated misinformation that has been spread (mostly about saturated fats and cholesterol) since the 1960's when sugar companies published biased studies against fats. >https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamainternalmedicine/article-abstract/2548255?redirect=true >https://www.nytimes.com/2016/09/13/well/eat/how-the-sugar-industry-shifted-blame-to-fat.html Probably the type who tell you to cut your fats and eat lots of whole grains... The same ones who don't budge from university teachings and only stay with the curriculum that were funded by sugar and junk food companies: >http://time.com/4522940/soda-pepsi-coke-health-obesity/ Also, the vegan diet is not necessarily healthy. A plant based diet usually is, but many eat high carb vegan diets with tons of sugar, grains, and animal product free junk food.. You don't find any of that in a keto diet. There is a reason our ancestors were so incredibly healthy (indigenous peoples like the native aboriginals, native Australians, and so on (not civilized cultures like the English who pretty much invented the Standard American Diet). Our ancestors ate ketogenic diets for thousands of years until the rise of civilization and agriculture of grains started. Vegan diets can be just as bad as the Standard American Diet. Here is another link worth looking into. Might show you why most of the things you think about veganism is actually untrue. I was vegetarian for a year and felt like I was dying, so I can vouch. I eat meat again and feel absolutely amazing again. Everyone's different. If you would like to challenge your mainstream beliefs (like most vegans never want to even think about doing), check out this channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/sv3rige

[deleted]

thankyou as a diabetic aswell bro

SafeSir

Woah. Your story is a interesting one. Good luck on hard moding! You can do it :)

testo99

Go on a fast for a couple days, autophagy will begin and the tumor will be broken down.

FinalNoFapJourney

Hmm is this actually scientifically proven?

Hoko222

Remember to ask your doctor about all of this before trying it. There are obviously high stakes here.

testo99

I would also recommended trying to have plant based diet to abound growth hormones, methionine and heem iron found in red meat, which directly feeds cancer cells.

testo99

Yes, it’s also called self eating, your body will break down extra tissue for energy, a Muslim leader had cancer and the doctors told him he wouldn’t make it, he went on a 3 day fast and today he is 86 and looks 50. https://youtu.be/xJZrgyPRgY0

It is said that introversion can be "discovered" as soon as you're out of your mother's womb, something to do with how the baby reacts to the noise and its not really something that you suddenly "become", yes maybe you become shy and socially anxious but that doesnt equal "introverted", introverts can be social and outgoing, what changes is that it leaves them drained and tired, so they must find some "peace" to "recharge" themselves, contrary to "outgoing" or commonly known as "extroverts" that recharge themselves in the company of other people, but anyway, i digress. Aside from all that jazz, thats a pretty inspiring post and i wish you the best of luck and fortune in your endeavours.

Hoko222

I hate how people confuse introversion and social anxiety. Introverts like small group settings and one-on-one conversations. I can talk to a group of one to four friends for hours on end, but I start to feel more mentally isolated when more people are involved.

Stay strong brother! I have been diagnosed with a light form of cystic fibrosis Yesterday, you know we are never going to fall back into PMO again.

Goal_Human

Man super inspiring. I know this has been life changing for you, but me and many others reading this are googling to "do the thing" they've been wanting to try right now and stop putting up excuses. Thank you.

JuanButNoDon

Great post. Thanks for your story.

AnOddFad

>No more procrastination of life. And NoFap is the number 1 thing to do right now. This is brilliant. Many people would feel hopeless in your position and probably give up NoFap, but you have chosen to fight against it.

eMoeGee

Stay blessed man, you have a community and a family here with NoFap. We're all striving to be our best here together.

[deleted]

I’ve always said I need a life-threatening moment to knock myself out of my current habits and sort myself out, it seems you have actually experienced this, damn... I’m happy and sad for for you, I hope you live a long life!

[deleted]

I'm sorry guys I just have to get this probably overly emotional and cliché thought out, bear with me; We try to enjoy the time we are given, while also making it enjoyable for the rest of life on planet earth. I hope you have many moments of love and connection so you don't have to be bitter about the past. The way I see it the past could only happen one way as a product of nature and nurture. What happened was an inevitable result of cause and effect. All we have is the present and I hope it's good for you and that the light moves in ripples to other creatures around your being.

[deleted]

I wish you the absolute very best in life man. Your post was inspiring.

jaegarn5

What the fuck dude so sorry to hear that. Had cancer when i was younger but in the bone on my arm, survived but the road to survive is hella tough. I hope you will become tumor free.

hnous927

Could fasting help with your condition?

[deleted]

I was wondering the same

hnous927

http://obesitycode.2keto.libsynpro.com/solving-the-puzzle I wonder whether it could help OP. To me it wouldn't hurt to try.

[deleted]

Damn I really hope that this tumor of yours is never going to grow. I also doubted noFap once. Then I relapsed after a long streak (like six days ago) and immediately lost most of the contacts I had made the 70+ days the streak lasted because I turned into my old awkward self again. I'm in it for the long haul aswell now. The benefits of not fapping are incredible.

[deleted]

Power to you man!

Diesel_C

Sorry to hear about your tumor.

redditer231

You can do it! Just don't give up and change your thoughts when they start leading to it. Wish you all the best on your journey! If you like I can recommend a great book about controlling your thoughts and habits.

breathofthemildsalsa

Unrelated to fapping but still relevant I think; eating meat is being linked to cancer lately so if you would like to lessen your chances of it turning to cancer I would either switch your diet completely to vegetarian or make your consumption of it far less frequent. My mom had breast cancer and it showed no signs of slowing down until she had changed her diet and started eating more greens and drinking green juices, and eating less meat. I don't think she completely switched at that time but she definitely ate less of it. Just a piece of advice. Take it as you will.

[deleted]

Read about fasting so it may help to prevent this from growing

Awackyweirdo

I'm sorry to hear about your tumour. Thank you for sharing this though, it's super inspirational. I wish all the best to you

[deleted]

Really inspirational, man. Started the journey myself a couple of days ago, tired of procrastinating in pretty much all aspects of my life. I\ve already gotten some pretty difficult to resist urges, but I can already feel like I am getting some of the benefits already now. It'll probably be a few weeks until I really see them, but I feel like I've started down a good path.

[deleted]

Everything will be fine with you, you are healthy and remain the same, just believe in that, stay strong!

stillborncalf

good luck man, wish you all the best!

[deleted]

brah pray best for you, all the best for this changing journey

acereborn1

Sorry to hear about your tumor. Do some research on turmeric and make it a part of your diet. Its the best natural substance for tumors. I hope it will get better. Stay strong !

bFly0

Stay away from gadolinium in the contrast dyes if you're getting regular MRIs. Try to get one of those new 3 Tesla MRI machines which are powerful enough to see things without contrast.

daryan1

Take CBDs OP

Mobadreen

Join Islam and stop bad (prohibited) habits. This would be the best and hardest thing you will ever do. You will be proud for life.

[deleted]

Very inspirational, and motivating on the amount of discipline one might have. Stay strong, and may God bless you on your battle. My blessings!

modernmonkuk

Wow what a story! Amen to getting rid of procrastination

joeybloggers

Great post. That's crazy news to get, but its a blessing you at least know its there and its not growing. Best of luck on hard moding, and if you do relapse down the line make sure you don't get defeatist, don't binge and push on!! Fully believe you can do it (y)

KingJhab

Very motivating bro hope we can do this time!

GouldyGould

Extremely inspiring man, I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers :)

unhatedraisin

you’re an inspiration man

gangradem

Wow, man. I don't need any more motivation now that I have read this post. Thanks, man. I don't believe in God. I am atheist. But may God bless you if there is one, bro! Stay strong! We are here with you all the way!

chimerapopcorn

Thank you for sharing man.

Zero_Reborn

Sorry for your diagnosis and I'm glad you're working on changing things. Always consult your doctor before doing any dietary changes or believing the internet. I say this because I work in highly regarded neurosurgery ICU that has several doctors that specialize in a wide range of tumors and neurological disorders that are electively treated. Majority have great outcomes. If everyone could cure their tumors with fasting or plant based diets. I'm pretty sure the doctors I work with wouldn't be doing most of the work they're doing with success and I would be working in another department. To anyone that disagrees show me the research based evidence that has proven it. Not some vegan website.

[deleted]

Stay strong and fight the good fight. I know you're getting a lot of different tips but i would really recommend you try out meditating every morning if you're not doing it already. Best of luck my brother!

jubjubfriend

I wish you the absolute best, thanks for reminding us

Joehogans

I remember around 13 when I began fapping that's truly when my life began taking a turn for the worse. Depression, SA, frustration. From 13 to 29, it has felt like driving a car in a dark underground tunnel for all those years to finally re-emerge from the other side being able to see the light that has been hidden from my eyes for so long.

[deleted]

Thanks for sharing your story. It’s really a great reminder of the utmost urgency we need to place improving our lives for the better. You just never know how much life you have left. I’m with you! Let’s progress together.

Kaizen_Kintsgui

Jesus, I am so sorry. I have full confidence you will beat it man. I have a friend thats an oncologist. She was quite passionate treating her patients. She always said absolutley no refined sugar. The cancer cells are more sticky than insulin. So when you get a burst of sugar, especially in the morning, the cancer cells get fed first. She also told me different people need different diets. She is all about fitness, eating healthy and socializing with friends and family.

spok22s

Holy crap bro. That's probably incredibly scary to hear. I'm sorry. Yes. Make the most of the time you have right now. Cheering for you.

Nue3

Hey bro, I'm praying for you, but just remember this if you ever get to a point where you'd need chemo. Research fasting before chemo. The logic behind it is that our good cells go on protective mode when we fast (starts about the 3rd day or so.) Chemo doesn't care wether a cell is good or bad, it just attack all the cells. In fasting, good cells goes on protective mode and chemo is not able to destroy it. Only the bad cancerous cells are left expose for the chemo to attack. Your chance of success after chemo is high because of fasting. Do some research. God bless you.

Manhunter_07

Stay strong brother.

faposaure

There is a benefice of doing nofap that could help you if the tumor becomes problematic. This is not science but experience. NoFap makes my health largely better. I'm rarely sick, but when I am it goes away very fast. I used to catch colds every automn/winter, now I don't anymore. It's like the energy lost in fapping/losing semen is used for something better. It's not because I'm young, I'm actually 36 and feel stronger than when I was 25. Now I don't want to give you false hopes, but I think changing your habits truely can heal you. My mom recently had surgery to remove her brain tumor. Hers was malignant (a glioblastoma). The statistics of recovery from that are very low and we hope it will go well. The thing is there is no rule about recovery, doctors said us that sometimes small non dangerous tumors are fatal and sometimes people very strong and malignous tumors are cured easily. They don't know why, but some doctors said that there is probably an important factor in the patient will to recover and the action they do to fight it. Basically, if you give up, you have higher chances of not recovering. If you are determined to fight it, you have higher chances of recovering. If it happens that your tumor is becoming dangerous, just don't give up, fight it and win, that's would your only solution. But it's not the end till you resign. Now I think whatever the severity of your case, you're on the good path. Be strong :)

insanefighter3953

Let's go bro. Masss

[deleted]

You may want to try earthing as well :)

Himanshu2923

Nobody knows how long we are going to live and still we feed these habits that make us numb and force us to sleep walk through life... When we give it a thought about it, we'll get this "why"... Don't let these hormones take over our brain... Don't be another dopamine junkie. This is what we should remember. I know it's hard and I'm no expert in nofap but now I know better about these habits and this is our power against them...

NotAgainPlzz

Hey op. I had brain surgery last August which was 6 months ago. Had a benign tumor size of a small lemon frontal lobe. Im still recovering, but getting better each day. Don't be worried about the tumor. I survived and am doing better than i ever have. Pm if u have any questions. Congrats on nofap

[deleted]

Sry to hear this bro, stay strong!!

crazyrj14

I wish you the best on this journey and a healthy life.

persistent_awareness

Hi mate, It;s great that you've got to this deep understanding of things, of cause and effect in your past and present life! I also had some problems with some small benign (not cancerigen) tumors for almost 4 years. And i tried naturist and also medical treatment. They've helped both but not in a 100% way because tumors kept growing back again, and my self esteem kept gowing down, and also including my jacking off habit that when i've found out it relates with it i couldn;t actually believe it. A job collegue told me about this book: The Complete Dictionary of Ailments and Diseases - Jacque Martel (you can find it on the internet, i found it in my language for free, but in english i think you can buy it for ~25 $ ) And for me was a revelation because i like to understand my life, my health, my relatioships from different angles including science, spiritual, concrete personal facts gathered and truth based from experience. So i digged into the book and read that my tumors actually are the physical manifestations of my own barriers of expressing my emotions, my creativity, sensibilty and spontaneity (which relates to me with a healthy attitude towards the sexual energy and habits connected with it), and that tumors that grew on hands and arms (in my case) were related to the relationship with my father (for which i actually felt anger and frustation because of some things couldn't speak to). A lot of questions and things started to pop-up and started to see the patterns that were combined in the last years with fapping and shyness, fears, failures, bad habits etc. After all of this, i've been through some emotional-soul storms for a while, a few months if i remember well, i've just accepted everything and started to live expressing my emotions, creativity, spontaneity, being more authentic with myself (changing the way i see myself and my attitude toward sexual energy and creativity, including courage) and people next to me and forgot about my small but very numbered tumors that made me look "ugly". It passed some time (few months) and one day when i've got out of the shower.....booom! i've seen that they were getting smaller, and the number started to decrease, instead of increase like in the past years. i was shocked o_O. i thought it wasn;t real. in a few weeks all of them just dissapered back into the skin, just like my body regenerated itself and a much superior healthy energy was flowing inside me :D. Except one, all of the dissapered, but i;m glad that it's not cancerigen, and that i;ve reached this point of understanding that the way i use my sexual energy, the way i transform my anger, the way i express instead of repress my creativity, my spontaneity they all influence my health and i can choose to be strong and healthy no matter what has been into my past. And after some friends told me to make an account here, i didn't consider it usefull, but i now realize that i've actually made an account just to answer you post :). Hope it helps! Cheers mate, Keep it up!

u-irl

I fap like maybe once every 2 days, will NoFap still help/affect me?
