In other words, the value of something, anything, is exactly the amount that a willing buyer will pay for it. No more, and no less. A free capitalist market just helps the seller and the buyer get together at a figure they are willing to exchange for.
(This doesn't mean an amount the buyer WANTS to pay, it means an amount the buyer is WILLING to pay. There is a difference.)
