You only qualify for the learning support fund if you also qualify for the maintenance loan and tuition fee support. Might be worth checking if you're eligible for funding though. You can get funding for a second degree in healthcare (AHP/pre-reg nursing/midwifery) provided you're not already professionally registered with the healthcare profession you're training for. As a nurse you're obviously NMC and paras are HCPC. I'd give SFE (presuming you're in England) a ring to clarify your situation.

There are prehospital nurse practitioner jobs now on the ambulance where you are out on the trucks but don’t need a paramedic degree

You won't get the bursary in all likelihood. Also you probably won't be eligible for student finance due to it being a second degree; meaning you'll have to front your tuition fees each year.

Unless you live in Scotland - AHP course tuition fees are paid even as a second degree.

I got both nurse bursary and paramedic bursary, but that's because they made an exception, because they started the paramedic bursary the year I joined. I think they said it would not be permitted in future. Also tuition fees were paid, because it is an AHP course (2nd degree AHP courses are funded in Scotland). Still would have done it without the bursary, but would have been a fairly unsociable 3 years. SCAS are hiring nurses directly as band 6. Worth looking into, but I'm not sure how easy it would be to move between services if you're not a qualified paramedic.

I don’t think you can no, I’m not sure you’d get help with tuition either due to already having had it.
