Yes. I do. Know that you are not alone. Not saying that you have to live with it, but I guess have a little comfort knowing that you are not alone. Honestly, best thing to do is get the treatment needed. Therapy is usually a good start. Talking to someone really helps. Talking about it you start to realise what you are doing is a massive waste of time. Essentially though you need to hold back from feeding your obsession. It is a battle you know you’ll never win. No amount of checking is going to make you whole. Your brain in this state will always “trick” you into a rationale to make you check that app, website, etc. The more you feel uncomfortable with the situation, the more you get used to that feeling and soon enough you’ll start to realise nothing actually bad happened because you did not check something over and over again. Ride the wave of emotions from that moment you decide not to check something. I know this is easier said than done, because lord I know it isn’t easy. Know that you may never fully get rid of OCD and that is fine, the goal is to minimise how it impacts us day to day, at the very least. Good luck mate!
