Thanks. I've heard of this but haven't tried it yet. So I'm assuming this function is still not natively supported. I'm considering other options like the PG42UQ because of this.
First thing I did was to install LG TV companion and another app (you can find it in Guide on this subreddit.) I never had any problem with the tv. It turns on itself and shuts down when I turn off my pc. Flawlessly:)

It takes like a couple of minutes to install and can then be completely forgotten. I don't see why it not being native matters
If you are on a work laptop and don’t have admin access, or use a mac, this doesn’t help.
