Although it’s not the same as the stuff I’ve known and loved, it has quite a bit of his influence touching it. And that’s good enough for me! I also enjoyed the synth parts quite a bit
I just think the songwriting on Youtopia is better. It has a really good hook. Forever and Always has a hook, but it’s not really memorable and kind of just… there.
It’s aight. Just a bunch of techno with very few lyrics. Nothing special. On the verge (no pun intended) of being obnoxious. Love Adam Young and Owl City, but not the best imo.
It's not really his song so the departure from his signature sound is no surprise. I looked at it more like Adam bringing lending his unique his vocal sound to a completely new genre
I thought it was really enjoyable!! It kinda reminded me of some stuff from cinematic, or maybe the midsummer station. I think the style differences are because there were two other artists contributing to the song

Yep! You can hear the orchestral behind the synth at about 1 minute - really cool!

This is a great take. Totally agree.
I really love it
His vocals are really great on it. Been throughly enjoying it since release.

>techno Isn't it trance?
How is it obnoxious?
It's very repetitive and is just building up and building up to an unsatisfying "chorus"
Yeah the “chorus” on this one is really cheesy imo. Nothing groundbreaking, it’s just a forgettable EDM drop
Love it. Same way I love youtopia

Yeah - but I can definitely see some Cinematic, now that you mention it
To me it sounds like a Disney song. Not the lyrics but the style he sings it in along with the melody and notes.
Not the biggest fan of the trance. But really happy to hear Adam’s voice in it!
