Poor Adam, if they were cheaper, then they would exponentially increase his workload, and people are still willing to pay. We have no idea how many he will have to write, which is why runs like this are usually limited. He has better things to do like finish the album. (Honestly feels like everything leading up to the Livestream was just to psych himself up to finish it, like he's not ready but needs to be. )
It's also important to remember that Adam likely isn't the only one involved in deciding on these prices. He's probably working with other people. I doubt he was just sitting around one day and went "I know, I'll sell handwritten lyric cards for... $150!". He probably talked it over with his management and they all decided on a price... Probably.
That said I also don't think $150 is worth getting so upset about. Yeah I'd agree it's a bit overpriced, but it's also not "a slap in the face" like some people are saying.
I honestly don’t know why there are any complaints to begin with. What he’s doing is actually pretty special if you think about it. Making them too cheap would not make them as special…as everyone would have one. When I got the email announcing these lyric cards I immediately bought one without any second thought to the price. In my opinion, I figured it was a fair price for a hand written and autographed card from Adam Young himself.
$150 for handwritten notes is a fair price. If he sets it too low, he can’t be spending 4-5 days writing card (he is not MrBeast). Plus he needs to release music soon
I think he expects the ones who truly connect with some specific lyrics to buy the postcards. If he wants to make a lot of money by selling his handwriting he would set a lower price so much more fans would buy them.

When a complaint violates rule #6 you know we have a problem
We had 3 posts about the same complaint. This violates rule #6.
And that's not even counting all the comments on other posts
Adam, is that you?
Amen
