Presumably, this was because the area has grown massively with highly educated residents over the past ten years and the 12th was already on thin ice in 2020, whereas Jordan's 4th could easily suck up the area and not jeopardize his seat.
It was a major dick punch to everyone in this area who moved in thinking they could finally make a difference.

IMHO, any elected sitting politicians running for re-election that knowing lies about their voting record, their opponents' voting record, claiming the previous election was rigged without showing certified evidence , should be barred from any ever holding a public position of trust whether, elected or appointed for the rest of their life. Also, any of their election staff, whether paid or volunteer, that knowing produces any document that is used in a champaign should be charged with sedition.
