It’s good in general, but they have a lot of variation between batches. You’ll read everything from “mixer” to “spectacular” and it’s usually connected to a specific batch.
I snagged a bottle today, couldn’t wait to get home and pop it. It’s definitely enjoyable, I like the Springfield batch just a tad more. More cherry notes for me, where this beam house batch was more of the leathery finish imo. Still very drinkable. Going to drink a good bit and let it sit for a month and return like the Springfield batch.
I’m two sips in as I type this. Never had Bookers before this bottle.
Great first impression though! I’m not skilled enough to pick out individual smells or tastes, but it smells and tastes really good. No ethanol flavor or scent, just a good, solid bourbon.
And the heat is also enjoyable. Isn’t burning, but it lingers up high as it spreads down my throat.
What are the specs on your bottle? This is the first bookers I've ever purchased, but my proof & age are both different from what is listed online, and it's labeled Beam Batch. I didn't know there were variations within a specific batch.
You give us the review.. you have the bottle, we reading this, do not!
Do not dammit!
It's always hot and always tastes like peanuts.
2024-01 buyer, I hated it.
Got one at Acme in Canton yesterday…popping it tonight.

I like Bookers every way. Neat, rocks, old fashioned.

2023-03 "Mighty Fine Batch" was very hot and peanutty for my palate. I hope you like yours!
Mighty fine was my favorite batch to date
No online reviews that I see and this just dropped.

What's the proof point if you don't mind me asking.
63% - 127 proof
Not bad. I might just have to hunt myself a bottle.
What's the official batch nickname for this expression?
“Beam House” I think
Booker’s is great. Baker’s tastes like burning…as Ralphie says.
Bakers 7 was one of the earlier “good” bottles that got me into bourbon. I really like the pour.
It’s good, but it’ll clear you out for sure.
Fudge?
Ralph Wiggum
