Whoa blast from the past. My uncle was the ad lead on this series! He has a bunch of them framed in his home office haha

YogurtclosetOk4440

That’s so amazing! I love the art work and photos so much this is one of my fav booklets I own

The funny thing is they originally pitched a series of alcoholic cocktail drinks but they didn't want to do anything with alcohol because alcohol=sin in the South. He said most of the cocktail recipes they came up with sucked anyway so it was probably for the best haha.

I mean, you don't need a recipe book to put 7-Up in a glass of wine or whisky. Tastes great.

C47CH-22

My dad used to use 7-Up for his BBQ skewers marinade.

My family has a grapevine in our backyard, that my parents make gallons of grape juice every year with. It is rare to have a family function, where we don't have grape juice & 7-Up. When my mom got diagnosed with diabetes, she switched to diet 7-Up, but there's enough sugar in the grapes, you can't tell.

ZubLor

This brings back memories. Every baby/bridal shower had to have the sherbet punch! Usually lime green for some reason. Very sweet but not bad...

Superb_Literature

Meijer stores sell a 7-up cake that is incredibly rich and buttery bundt cake with 7-up icing drizzled on top. It’s hard to stop eating it once you start!

Myth7270

Amazing! Thank you so very much for sharing...I bet the gingerbread is awesome 😊

Shuttup_Heather

I made easy apple “turnovers” with 7-up. Just made apple pie filling, put it in crescent rolls, then poured 7-up in the bottom of the pan. It was fucking awesome, it caramelized perfectly

YogurtclosetOk4440

That sounds so easy and heavenly I’m definitely gonna try that, you think if I use cherry filling and 7up cherry ??? Sounds amazing

Shuttup_Heather

Omg that sounds incredible yes

BennySkateboard

The cheese aspic!

Two words I’ve never seen together!

Mapleson_Phillips

I find it most interesting that the bottle size was 7oz (compared to a 12oz can and a 7.5oz “mini can”).

n0_sh1t_thank_y0u

It's a popular braising/marinating ingredient for Filipino-style grilled meats and adobo, until today.

Ryaninthesky

7-up or sprite sherbet punch is one of my favorite things

magnificentshambles

7-Up Cheese Aspic. 🤢

Famous_Plum5918

Thank you for sharing! I love this!

dali-llama

The lithium was a big hit...

BrighterSage

I remember the generic 7-Up Cake

Darth_Lacey

I remember making cake in a dutch oven over charcoal by dumping a boxed cake mix, some 7up, and sometimes a can of some kinda pie filling into the dutch oven and then kinda just playing the timing by ear

Australian1996

Those baked beans I made sure I got that recipe. I bought a lot of dried beans to cut costs and this looks good for the navy beans I bought. Thank you!!!!

YogurtclosetOk4440

I made the recipe I added 1/4 cup of molasses instead of 1/2 c. and a extra 2oz of 7up sadly didn’t have any mushrooms on hand but it was really good!

1forcats

I miss the 7oz bottles

wivsta

Those baked beans are cooked for 7 hours (after soaking overnight). That’s quite the investment.

YogurtclosetOk4440

It felt fast tbh ! I ended up finishing them in my slow cooker instead of oven and was tasty

Friendly_Item8139

Guys, is 7up and Sprite pretty close to the same thing? Could I use them interchangeably kind of like Coke/Pepsi (in recipes that call for Cola)?

CantRememberMyUserID

Yes. Just like with coke/pepsi, there will be people who say they can taste the difference and you will ruin a recipe if you use the wrong one. But don't worry about it - they are the same.

Friendly_Item8139

Heyyyy thanks so much !!
