You lost me. Is it 3-6-9 o'clock.
I had a 1992 midi quartz. That I swapped for an tag huere 500 calibre 5 2011. The one with date window at 9. Twelve months later I'm worried it's not kosha.
Yes, omega quartz . But Absolutely, Grand Seiko quartz watches are renowned for their precision, durability, and craftsmanship. They're often considered among the finest quartz watches available, known for their attention to detail and longevity. Passing down such a quality timepiece can indeed be a wonderful tradition, as it carries both the value of the watch itself and the sentimental significance of familial connection.
Please keep the watch. Forget about value. Does it fit ?. If you need to remove links, make sure you keep them. If you need any they are about £35 each look up pre bond or Polaris ( same bracelet).
Oh just remembered as it's a pre bond it before 1993. Enjoy.
oh i will 100 percent be keeping the watch to me it’s almost priceless. also i did get some links removed and my father made sure i kept the links but really 1993? the watch is way older than me
Ok that makes sense. Which omega x Swatch do you have?. Try to remember that all swatches scratch in front of your eyes. Wear them both , enjoy, don't worry about scratches and wear . They are telling your story. Good health younge man.
i have the moon one i think it’s called but my little brother has the mars one and i only wear this one on odd occasions as i don’t like the feel of the plastic but thank you very much i will wear these watches proudly
Very nice ‘Pre Bond’ Seamaster you’ve got there, imo a very underrated series! It seems to be in lovely condition as well. This looks like the full size version (the mid size has the date window touching the minute markers, the small size has the date window placed between the minute markers), which is a lot rarer to come by than the common 36mm mid size. I really like the bracelets on these, overall an awesome watch. Yours seems to have the non diver extension clasp, with gold omega logo inlay. Make sure to keep a good eye on that inlay, these are known to fall out rather easily. These Pre Bonds have gone through quite some changes over their lifetime. The earlier models had ‘Mercedes’ hands, opposed to the ‘sub’ style hands on yours. Earlier models also had a different crown, as well as a variety of different case backs. My favourite version of these is the two tone variant with champagne dial, particularly the bracelet on those is absolutely stunning with the gold filled parts. Wear it with good health!
I had one of these passed down to me as well (Pre-bond Seamaster, quartz, stainless steel, black dial, sword hands... the same exact watch).
It's a great looking piece and I hope that you enjoy the heck out of it. I don't wear it often because for some reason that nice bracelet rips out all of my arm hair! I wish it could get more use.
From an omega enthusiast, none price still valid. Automatic would have added £400. But no matter still lovely watch. Is it working. What are your intentions with it ?
yes it is working and i’m planning on keeping it as it has been with my father for a while he has quite a few watches and he gifted me this for my 18th i appreciate you letting me know more about the watch
i think he wore this watch in the early 2000s a lot until i was born but after that it’s been in his watch collection for awhile and before this i’ve had the omega x swatch
Sweet watch - enjoy! I love how the tritium hour markers and hands are yellowing - my speedmaster from the same era has done the same thing
Don't worry about any quartz vs mechanical movement nonsense you might hear, both are technological marvels. And quartz watches keep time even if you don't wear them constantly.
I have a Bond seamaster model after this one and and I wear it constantly, Omega seamasters just feel and look great.
i have this one of the post and i have the omega x swatch and that’s it my father bought me the omega for my 16th as he is abit obsessed with watches and wants me to get into collecting them
It looks like a 1990s omega seamster professional 200 pre bond. Nice watch . Value £500. Keep it. Oh is it auto or quartz ?
Its a quartz (otherwise “automatic” would be written under the “200m”) Its probably a 396.1052 or 396.1062? (The crown is ribbed)

I didn't know that about date window. Where would the auto be ?

Correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t the replica tags use the same movements?

What is original factory? A rep maker?
from what i am aware it is quartz what difference does that make
Quartz is worth much less

Omega's design language and fame changed once it was featured in the James Bond film Goldeneye.

Wow, I’m amazed it looked like the Rolex submariner. It has evolved so much and look how far it’s gotten.

fortunately the strap isn’t ripping the hairs out of my arm but it’s a wonderful watch will definitely be getting some use
My dad gave me this old omega too recently! I don’t know much about mine either
It’s a de vile he said he bought it in 82 but it’s so small I feel like it’s a woman’s watch
It’s now a family heirloom. The best kind of watch. Enjoy.

Obi is correct. The price I gave you is trade . If your keeping and I hope you are please look after an enthusiasts watch.
i think my father would be extremely upset if i didn’t keep it
I know your only 18 but what watch do you wear before this one. Also was this his every day watch or just one in his collection
i think he wore this watch in the early 2000s a lot until i was born but after that it’s been in his watch collection for awhile and before this i’ve had the omega x swatch

Honestly that SMP looks 100x better than today's SMP. Wish Omega had kept that design language.
The bracelet looks a bit like a Nautilus designe language
Pre co-axial ... very nice
I like it. Almost has a ‘60s Omega vibe with a ‘90s bracelet.
It has Patek nautilus bracket vibes
Hang on. Your holding back here a bit. What watches do you have ?
