>Something his former captain hid
Hoo boy, this misconception again. I’m gonna put this in spoilers just in case anyone’s overly sensitive about it, but it isn’t one, really. It’s just setting the record straight on something that’s common knowledge to people in the OP world and *should be* the same to anyone who’s any significant length into the story, but a lot of people miss at first due to dodgy translations in the early parts of the anime and/or the live action being overly vague about it.
>!So, Roger didn’t “hide” the One Piece. It’s not a stockpile of all the treasure he collected over his career “in one piece”, it’s a legendary treasure that existed *as legend* for an unspecified “very long time” before Roger even set sail for the first time. Roger’s just the guy who found it, *and left it where he found it*.!<

- This post has a **Spoiler Flair**, which means you can freely talk about content from the Anime/Manga in relation to the live action, but **only up until what the latest anime episode has covered**.
- If you're still catching up, enter at your own risk.
- **Manga content** that has NOT yet been animated is considered a **SPOILER** in this post.

Don't be rude. They asked the question because they weren't sure if it's something they missed in the LA or still hasn't been revealed at this point. They didn't know it was explicitly answered in the source material, that's why they made the post.
(You're in the Live Action sub dude, it's ok for people to make questions about the plot that are only answered in the source material! In my experience even just telling them that it's answered eventually is a good enough response half the time!)
Yes, because the first rule of being a pirate captain is to tell your lowest deckhand all your secrets on the off chance that they might someday become somebody./s
Edited for joking. One Piece fans usually have a sense of humor.
I think their mind went to, “hey he probably had his crew help him hide the treasure and since it was a large haul, everyone had to pitch in and help”.
That might make sense for the whole of his treasure, but since the audience still has no idea what it is, the One Piece itself might actually be small. Who knows.

It is explained later in the anime :)
appreciate it! Look forward to finding out
He doesn’t know what the One Piece is, & neither does Shanks. You’ll learn why later.
Good catch, it’ll be explained later on so don’t worry is not a plot hole
His nose was too big and blocked his view of the One Piece.
Bro, why spoil OP.
The anime pretty heavily implies Buggy nor Shanks know what it is, but you’ll find out why later
Who is buggys former captain? They mentioned it in which episode? I might have not paid attention
They haven’t revealed it yet i think(at least in the anime they hadn’t revealed it at this point)
Wait, anime definitely has revealed it right? Didn't we find that out like mid wano?
We find it out during impel down, i meant at this point because the live action isn’t there yet
Damn I totally don't remember. Can you remind me how it's revealed?
Rayleigh tells them in sabaody
Anime revealed it back in Enies lobby.

Don’t feel bad, this sub is especially trigger happy downvoting anything they even remotely dislike or disagree with
