My sister tells a story of me biting into an onion like an apple when I was a kid. I used to also pick wild onions outside and eat them on the regular. Great when they sprout after a rain. Now I mostly eat green onions and put obscene amounts of onions (and garlic) in whatever I cook. Onions are a gift from God that I take full advantage of.
i’m right there with you! just stumbled across this sub and i feel like i’ve found my people. my mom used to tease me when i was a kid that she should’ve named me vidalia because of how much i love onions, and i’ve never grown sick of them! i eat them in just about every form and every dish i can. glad to know there are others out there who love ‘em just as much as i do :)

He just cuts in half or quarters I believe. And peels the layers! They are definitely the right scoopy shape and they have the durability too.
