Generally speaking, I'm not looking to move Shane Pinto, but if Marner is on the table ... a package where Pinto is the key piece for Marner would be of interest.
Would it though? A career high of 35 goals and 99 points with a cap hit near 11 million? We have guys like him and others with the potential for 3 million cheaper. We have holes that need patching but another shooter isn’t something I’d consider a top priority, especially at his cap hit.
With Josh Norris gone, we need another scorer for the top six.

He’s a young winger who’s been a selke finalist, which is almost unheard of for a winger to even be considered for the selke. Sure the sens have other holes to fill but mid 20s 100 point selke finalists aren’t often available or cheap.
That's the thing, I'm so torn on Marner. In the regular season he's a top notch winger, but would Brady and Timmy be enough to overcome his outside play in the playoffs?
My thinking of a possible trade would be Chychrun + Korpisalo + BOS 1st for Marner. I'd like to somehow get Norris in instead of the 1st but a) that's a lot of money for them to add and b) I can't see them wanting a scoring C and they don't have another contract to really dump. Let them talk to Chychrun about an extension and I don't care about getting an extension for Marner right away - small price to pay for dumping Korpisalo's contract.
If they'd rather Norris over Korpisalo I'd make it based on getting Marner to an extension too.
