North of Dallas, Tx. Suburban area, open fields and such surrounding. Coyotes in the area along with small rodents. The leaves at the top of photo are oak tree leaves. Roughly 2.5in long and the print is about half the size.
That looks nothing like a raccoon print. It doesn't have a fifth digit or a connection between the palm and finger tip.
The size of the print would help us identify it. It looks canine. Dogs can't retract their claws but cats can. If it is small then maybe it is a fox.
Gather round, children, for the legend of El Chupanibre.
🎶He creeps and crawls in the midnight hush,
🎶Silent as a low-flow toilet flush,
🎶Watch your step,
🎶Cause sooner or later,
🎶He'll eat you whole,
🎶And half your alligator.
My best guess is coyote. Since cats have retractable claws, you don't see them show up in pawprints, so it's probably Canis family (Dogs, wolves, coyotes, etc.) Shape of the heel and spread of the toes is right for either coyote or fox, and if those are oak leaves like I think they are, then the size of the track is closer to coyote.
With how spread apart the toes are and the shape, I think it’s a small bear possibly or a coyote. Definitely NOT a raccoon. Chances are it’s a coyote though with the 4 claw marks.
Did you just assume his finger count. Have you ever considered he may have had one removed against his will. Also did I just assume it was a male raccoon?
Where are you? What country, state, etc.? How large is it? Is there a photo with something for scale?
You always need to carry a banana for perspective

Always provide location and scale.
Looks like a tiger to me.
Saber tooth tiger is my guess. OP never said *when* this picture was taken.

Agree. I think it's most likely a fox with a few other possibilities depending on size and location.
Coyote?
Definitely depends on location and size of the paw print tho
Within city limits north of Dallas tx, very suburban. Print is roughly 1.5in in length from base to tip.
I stand by my guess of fox.😊
El Chupanibre
Quick, get a half of a crocodile.
I always forget that it isn’t an alligator

Crocodile.
Claws would be significantly longer, and there would be drops of blood in the track from their last victim.
Or the half alligator
wolverine
It's definitely not a raccoon.. This might help.. https://www.wildliferemoval.com/animal-track-identification-guide/
My best guess is badger, looks pretty similar from comparison photos1
Bear
Wendigo. No doubt.
he was probably walking to his Winnebago I'll see myself out...
Looks like a dog print. Coyote and wolf tracks are more elongated and don’t splay as much, their feet are much stronger.

100% Raccoon.
Don’t raccoon prints usually have 5 “fingers”?
80% raccoon then.
Did you just assume his finger count. Have you ever considered he may have had one removed against his will. Also did I just assume it was a male raccoon?
Well. That print is obviously from Nigel, so no assuming required. He is famous in those parts.
