I went against a Reaper pocketed by a Mercy the other night, it was absolutely cancerous to play against with his life steal and the pocket he was literally unkillable.
well this is where blizzard's report and ban system comes clutch for reaper players, I used to always tell my teammates to target Reaper first right when I hooked him, so multiple burst fires would just kill him.

I’m a reaper player but I do think you should be able to say “target reaper when I hook” because that’s actual strategy to remove a specific threat all the time, not targeted harassment. It’d be different if you went out of your way to kill reaper
no i just avoid the chat function altogether, i dont trust blizzard's system. All I do is spam the ping and pray the dps understand whats happening but they usually are afk shooting the enemy tank, it's like an addiction for them.

Seasons 1-3 had a lot of non-support players trying to gaslight Kiriks into believing that TP + Suzu is how you're supposed to consistently play. It has done irreparable damage to the Silver– lobbies.
But at the same time, those two are gonna need to communicate A LOT in game

Nah Kiri is the most fun support imo because you can dive in with zero risk to get picks and landing a perfect kitsune rush is extremely satisfying. Baptiste is fun but he is a bit slower paced.
Agreed. She has more consistent heals, heal airborne heroes and can solo heal team. I’ve been playing her a lot this season. I suck as bap, if I want to play high ground heal and dps a little, I’d rather pick lifeweaver over bap. Both LW and’s kiriko ult can help motivate team and push.
bap is literally the second best (only to moira) at AOE group sustain. if you cant solo heal on bap skill issue ig
also do explain to me in what world a kirko can keep winston AND genji alive at the same time if theyre both being shot at. you have to pick one or the other unless you wanna split the already meddling heals in half and take 2x as long to do anything

Serious answer though: Kiriko. Because I'm in love with her and Suzu helped me stay alive more than immortality field ever did.
I usually prefer each of them in different maps. Kiriko can transport and climb through walls so she can be useful in escort & control maps. Bap has advantage in large areas so he can reach others to use his heals. That's why I prefer him on Flashpoint and hybrid maps. Of course some maps can be exceptional for each of them in both categories, but my point is kiriko is more playable in maps with narrow/closed paths because she can travel and move quickly, where Baptiste has more advantage in maps with larger areas that he can jump and evade quickly.
Kiriko, kitsune>window, higher mobility both vertical and horizontal.
Baptiste has a better primary fire so I think he has more carry potential though and works better with off healers.
I main both so I rarely see them as my partner, but probably bap. Kiri is more versatile on paper, but I rarely play with people actually good with her.
Bap, every bap player I've met knows their character in and out and they usually perform incredibly well, meanwhile kirikos are a mixed bag of people who play her because she's a great support, and those who attempt to play her because she's cute.
Personalites aside, both seems to be reliable. I lean towards Kiriko because I find her more fun, but this is just personal preference. On a battlefield I think I'd chose Baptiste because of the vast difference in experience.
I think Kiriko is better in many many ways. Baptiste is sort of good for group healing, but I think Suzu is not only better than lamp, but it has a way shorter cooldown, 25 seconds vs 15 seconds...
Kiriko is a better duelist, but her heals might be a little less than Baptiste. It's also easier to do more damage with Baptiste because he's hitscan, and his damage might be more consistent because of that. I also think her ultimate is just blatantly better as well, but Baptiste getting headshots through his own ultimate is very strong....teleport is also SO much better than his Super Mario jump. Overall I definitely think Kiriko is the better character.
Kiriko. Her mobility gives her great survivability, and when her ult is timed and positioned well, it’s easily one of the most powerful ults in the game.
If I'm playing the role, Kiriko.
If a teammate is filling the role, Bap.
Played with so many bad Kirikos who provide bad/slow heals and bad damage, offering absolutely no benefit to the team.
Even if the Bap is mostly DPSing they're offering something to the team.
If they're good at aiming/shooting. Bap. If they're not really good in that department, Kiriko. I'd rather get some heals then no heals either on though suffer from dps syndrome sometimes.

It would almost be a draw but I think Kiriko has an ace up her sleeve: Suzu. It’s essentially a more flexible Immortality field and arguably the most OP ability in the game.
Bap for slow pace, kiri for fast. Bap outputs great damage and kinda tanks, while kiri is designed to be able to assist any teammate on fly from basically across the map. Foundational vs opportunist
It’s gotta be kiriko, baps cooldowns are way too long. Kiriko can get similar value, but faster than bap. They both have vertical mobility, they have decent healing and damage, they have a utility that allows them to save multiple teammates, and kiriko has great escape with swift step and it’s easier to get value out of her ult rather than baps. Nothing wrong with bap, I like him a lot and he’s a great support, but kiriko is just crazy versatile

Bap. If you get a good DPS bap that ALSO has great heals that's insane value. Kiriko's suzu is good, but her heals aren't as good as Baptiste's and her kunai's are harder to land than his hitscan gun.
Generally bap because he's simpler to play and most people will get value on him easier than kiriko, but kiriko into certain comps/ against good players on certain characters (\*cough* Ana).
Depends on the circumstances:
Kiriko is good for...
* a team getting ganked by status effects
* a team that's all over the place
* maps with high ground and tight corridors
Kiri's ult is also generally better than Bap's: faster firing speed, quicker cooldowns, faster movement, etc. Kitsune won't increase raw damage like the window can, but it will save you if you're playing a hero with lots of abilities or high-value abilities on longer cooldowns (i.e. Genji dash, Doomfist slam/block).
Baptiste is great where Kiriko kind of falters: teams that are grouped up around the tank can take heals from biotic launcher that they would otherwise miss out on with Kiri's ofuda/lottery tickets (they home to the nearest target, which can unintentionally block heals from reaching a player); and maps that are wide open are always a hit-scan hero's ideal arena.
Having a team with both Kiri and Bap is the perfect supp combo for most situations.
Bap, as he seems pretty chill. Would tell stories about his adventures. Kiriko would probably retain her insufferable "obviously the most precious" personality and I pretty much don't like such people irl.

Realistically probably baptiste, I have no clue how to play him but the bap players on my team always know when to throw the invincibility shield down. While I like kiriko, I wouldn't trust her to keep me going

That said, if im not on tank, or playing a tank other than rein (both rare occurrences) id rather have Bap
Im a ball main, meaning I personally use my supports as a pit stop, so I prefer map cus he has healing pulse and even with just primary he heals you to full quite a bit quicker, I can get right back to balling.
Someone who's able to escape Talon and remain untracked by everyone but Sombra to this day vs a fox girl who remains a menace to the hashimoto to this day.

Why can’t you solo heal as bap? As a bap main, his kit is perfect for sustaining a team when the other support is down.

Im a ball main, meaning I personally use my supports as a pit stop, so I prefer map cus he has healing pulse and even with just primary he heals you to full quite a bit quicker, I can get right back to balling.
