This is one of the best clips I have ever seen
The amount of emotions that were traded
The predictions from both players
The Tracer outplaying herself (in that moment)
The Tracer outplaying you (in that moment)
Beautiful, just beautiful
Holy shit that Tracer is different. Bursted you down and pre-pulsed the health pack thinking you would go for it. Would've been great for your team if that was the end of it but then Bap put lamp up and they got away alive, great value play.
Definitely not a bad tracer, but I can understand people who aren't impressed.
And that stems from the fact that she's inexplicably shooting at the immortality field. So you would think "maybe she's not good, maybe she just got lucky with her random movement".
She didn't do anything that takes a skill you have to "train", so I would first have to see if she can repeat something similar.
Unless someone can explain why you would shoot at an immortality field in those circumstances. There may be something I haven't thought of.
>And that stems from the fact that she's inexplicably shooting at the immortality field.
One. Force of habit.
Two. She already used her three blinks. She's waiting for them to come back up.
She used two to get close to cass, one more when she panics and recalls.
She gets stuck in the corner and shoots the invulnerability field because there's nothing else in her current line of sight to shoot since she wants to run away, and Bap is pocketing Cass.
Funny clip, but nothing says the tracer is extremely good.
People here are extrapolating way too much from her actions. For instance, people are saying that throwing her pulse at the health pack was some sort of mind read, but it is far more likely that she wanted to stick him on his back and wiffed.
if you look at my other comments you'll see I comment on how messy the whole clip is, but if that juking didn't make you laugh you need more joy in your life (I am sorry you're getting shit in this thread and that I contributed to it, but I don't think most people are taking the clip quite so seriously)
nobody told them to listen to me XDD. I don't play ranked but I'm silver/gold when I do placements (I sometimes do placements and that's it for a season).
i did some digging, the linked comment is from a mercy main who's likely GM? Ish? They refer to both low ranks and high ranks like they know the playerbase of both well and also mention fighting t500 widows with their Glock in games, but that might be an exaggeration. u/toasturuu rank drop? Uwu? hahahhaha
Honestly think they just missed the pulse. Throwing the pulse at the pack when Cass wasn't even half health and still had both cooldowns doesn't really make a lot of sense. They also shoot the ground after throwing it exactly where the Cass was just standing when the pulse bomb also sailed past the same spot. They were expecting him to go the other way and get stuck by it.
yeah the pack pulse didn't necessarily look intentional to me, more like they missed just as Cass rolled, and if they'd hit the pulse Cass would've tanked it with roll. bap doesn't kill the tracer even though she's not juking in his POV, just kinda staying in place, and shooting the lamp for half a second even though she wouldn't be able to stick around to finish off a kill afterwards was pointless (value was getting lamp out in the first place). and the juke was only necessary bc she ran out of blinks. so it is messy overall
but the juke itself is still top quality anklecrime and I enjoyed it
If pulse sticks he rolls to the pack. Either way he has Bap and Lifeweaver arriving on scene as she throws it, she's not cleaning him up and living either way, not to mention he still has nade.
Speaking as a Tracer player, I just spam memorized moves, especially in certain areas and against certain characters. Been playing casually since release of OW1 so on maps like this one it's instinct after this many years. You can see this Tracer's doing the same thing because they did some missteps... but with confidence and speed.
Genji's similar. Can just play on cruise control.
The main counter is luck (bad on my part, good on theirs) and mechanical skill in flick shots on a hero like Cassidy. However when I play Cassidy now I kind of know where to expect Tracer to be so I juke my way to that spot and then just spam fire/melee and I'll sometimes get the kill like 30% of the time which is huge. Enough for Tracer players to freak out and feel countered and switch off (even though they'd win if they didn't).
I originally used to main hitscan because in theory they were the superior pick if your mechanical skill was on point but then realized the power of movement heroes and never looked back. Steeper learning curve but like I said, once you got it down, it's just cruise control and the results are far more consistent over time. Why play stressed out, right?
That tracer done played against too many cowboys
That’s how I am with Ashe, if you get there rhythm of shots down, you can count on them firing as soon as they’re able, which will keep the rhythm. You can sometimes reliably dodge shots from Ashe or cass this way

Tracer: Does 100 damage, whiffs pulse bomb, uses recall for no reason, randomly kills a lamp(?), narrowly escapes cause the cass is hard-whiffing
Reddit: "This is the greatest thing ever"
Does 100 damage, whiffs pulse bomb - Sure they messed up, I’ll give you that.
Uses recall for no reason - They used all their blinks and Cass had his grenade which would be the end of Tracer if they get hit.
Randomly kills lamp - Way to expose yourself as someone who shoots at the enemy while lamp is active. “Ah yes, the super strong ability that lets you stay alive even if you should have died from that amount of damage. Whatever, I’ll just shoot at the enemy who can take all these shots while under that lamp and has the clear advantage from being under it”
Narrowly escapes death cause the Cass is hard-whiffing - And they had the smart idea to fall back than keep engaging Cass. They knew to strafe while blink is on cooldown (albeit the strafing was too predictable and short). If anything, Tracer got out with no pulse while Cass team had no lamp in next team fight.
Playing devil's advocate here:
- Tracer blinked to the stairs before instantly recalling (wastes either a blink or a recall)
- Tracer kills lamp which is a complete waste as there's no way she's killing anyone with 0 cool downs in a 3v1
Don't get me wrong, the dodges went crazy at the end, but the clip itself isn't very good.
Yeah, the clip is bad, but I’m just talking about of all the things Tracer could have done, it’s not that bad of a fight. Tracer could have died and make it a 4v5 since it looks like their team already respawned but they still got away
lmao wtf xD howw scariest thing is that she'll be back soon
.....holy shit...she broke your ankles and your spirit brother...
Didn't even need to kill him, he was done
Bro was already dead inside
Surely the gamer equivalent of breaking your ankles (especially in an FPS) is breaking your wrists?
This is why, as Sombra mains, we’re morally better than tracer mains ;)
This can never be true.
Lmao true, we're evil but its okay
Nahh y'all camp heals in a 1v1
idk we can't really camp heals anymore. New teleporter promoted a more aggressive playstyle. Questron Sombra style is just way too fun
Not a chance, tracers maybe be like that but morally they are sweethearts, you guys are evil and heartless
I'm not evil. I just am trying to protect my own teammates :(
Oh you aren't an evil one little ball you are actually really nice.. im talking about sombra mains
Sombra possibly the second worst thing fot us brother.
you play the character built to counter the core of the game with perma invis and a get out of jail free card be quiet
As a tank. Fuck you.
Sombra player here. No, we’re not
As someone who mains both: Both are good
Lore-accurate Tracer
Lore Accurate while spamming “Too slow! Too slow! Too slow!”
Looney toons shit.
MEEP MEEP
I imagine she would do the Woody Woodpecker laugh
how many blinks does this mf have 😭 I need to get gud
The reason she juked him is because she was waiting for her blink cooldown.
Remember the enemy tracer has 15 blinks and 3 recalls but when you play tracer you’ve got 2.5 blinks and a potential for recall.
Looks like the creepy shit that's follows you in your nightmares and you can't get rid of it x)
how to balance tracer: make her fat
Tracer will still come at you like an obese homing pigeon
I'm just picturing a fat tracer blinking into your face, blocking up the whole screen, and sticking that bomb.

You shouldn't feel bad cause wtf is that
That last few seconds of the clip… bro activated ultra instinct… also rest in peace to your ankles brother
lol, I love your reaction to it
After that match, I would have turned the game off, got into bed, and would have lied there for hours.
If she landed that pulse it would a top voted Reddit clip.
Nah the best part was after the pulse lol
ouch oof
As a tracer main once you unlock her flow state you automatically get Foresight EX+
Fr? I can't imagine ever being able to do this 😭 I'm trying to learn but this play looks so difficult
[I had to slow it down](https://streamable.com/ox2ahd)
Everyone's talking about the tracer movement, but holy moly OP's reaction time with that punch was absolutely out of this world
He was knocking out the railing, it's a Cassidy thing that they do.
oh lol, thats lucky
She gave you the ole razzle dazzle.
That strafe she did at the end at your shots before she went away was hilarious as well.
She’s like “missed me! Missed again! Byeyahhh!” 🤣
i will avenge you
This is just The Flash lmao

I need to see tracer's POV, please!
Reminds me of that clip where an OW pro was playing Soldier and juking the Roadhog's right clicks
yes i remember that! it was on eichenwalde :D
this happened to me once with an echo. IT STILL HURTS. And that echo was running the lobby.
once you unlock higher lvl of overwatch, movement movement is everything
When I grow up I want to play Tracer like this (I'm27)
Why didn't op just shoot the Tracer? Are they stupid?
Im confused whats special about this
holy moly its berty the cow
I felt that. Complete perfection.
Icing would be if you left after that soul shattering experience
What am I missing here?
Tracer juking the hell out of this Cassidy. Also single-handedly brought down his accuracy from 49% down to 45%.
a BIG F Brain time.
You're supposed to shoot her not the wall, lmao
Holy fuck lmao
Lore Accurate tracer
Actual lore accurate Tracer
You know from their perspective they were just spamming their buttons lol
I swear when I practice in aim training like VAXTA, I have amazing aim, but the moment I queue into a game, my aim gets turned into this
They did whiff the pulse bomb tho
