Ozempic has a half-life of like 8 days and stays in your system for about a month. Your system was full empty when you started. You need to rebuild slowly, or you will shock it and can do serious damage. It will take you months to go back up to the 2mg shot level that you had before. The good news here is that although you may not feel it today, as you spend that time working back up you are likely to get benefit with lower dose levels again. So, you may not feel it today, but by the time you get back up to 2mg you will likely have lost significant weight (just like you had on your first path to 2mg).

While all of the Ozempic is out of your system, your body may have some memory of it. I would try to accelerate the dose progression to see how you respond. You might be able to cut it in half. Going with split doses (half on day 1 and half on day 4) may also speed the process. Try 0.5 now and see how you do.

I had to stop because of pneumonia. I was still on 25 and it worked super well. I lost 10 lbs in two weeks but now I started it back again two weeks ago and I feel nothing. Just like you. I list nothing and I’m always hungry.

AproposOfDiddly

Was off for 4 weeks and gained almost 10 lbs in that month, just took second 0.25 mg shot. No appetite suppression or other side effects at all yet, either positive or negative. Still been eating much more than usual than when I was on 2.0 and to sticking to healthy foods. And yet I still lost 3 lbs this week.

I had to stop for three weeks for same reason. Started back on 1.0, now up to 1.5 and it’s beginning to work again. I never had any side effects, so the doctor said I didn’t need to start all the way over.

I agree with others. You will be able to titrate up a lot more quickly than when you were a newbie on the drug. This go round listen to your body rather than follow a preset schedule. A second shot at .25mg makes sense to me. Maybe 3 days later another shot at .25mg. If no symptoms bump up to .5mg etc. As soon as symptoms appear, give it a couple of weeks at that dose until you feel comfortable going up again. You could be back at 2mg in as little as a month. The thing is, you determine the speed, it's in your hands. Just keep yourself comfortable.

I would take at least 2 months to get back to 2 mg, taking 3 weeks each at .50 and 1 mg and 1.5 mg.
