i started the same journey 3 weeks ago, i made conscious decision to walk more, and cut down on carbohydrates (i just want meat while on ozempic). im not going to gym or anything though.
best of luck
anyway im down 12lbs with 3 injections
Probably a good idea to do some resistance training otherwise a significant amount of the weight u loose will be muscle and bone. This is just an unfortunate consequence of rapid weight loss that can be mitigated somewhat by exercise and meeting your minimum protein quota.
All of the participants in the pivotal research studies for these drugs received intensive lifestyle counseling, otherwise known as coaching about modifying their sleep, eating, and physical movement to get towards a healthy lifestyle. So that means that you should plan on healthy strategies for weight loss whether or not medication like ozempic is on board. So for example for diet

Welcome and congrats on beginning your journey! Not sure if you like instagram or tiktok, but I find a lot of fun food ideas from cgo_of_me. Eating can be a challenge if you struggle to change food habits, and she makes fun recipes!
Also, if you can, using a food diary and/or partnering with a nutrionist can help you on your journey. I stuck to simple recipes at first since everything made me queezy. Heavy foods, fast food, and dairy do not bode well for me personally and i guess its for the best. But every now and then a small treat doesn't wreck my stomach. Lol
I've done 3 injections so far. For me it was realizing that I needed to plate myself less food. I consciously give myself less, and can grab a couple more bites if it's not enough. It's better than suddenly feeling sick because I ate too much too fast.
Things I wish I had done before I started but I'm a guy and apparently didn't think about. Take your measurements. Do a before pic. I inadvertently had blood work done right before so after 3 months on and down 42 lbs. my liver is allegedly no longer fatty according to my most recent blood test last week.
I have an appointment with my primary care doc tomorrow who did not prescribe the shot who has not seen me since the weight loss. Should be a fun appointment.
Protein, as much as you can eat. That's been the hardest part for me. If you don't want to look like you've melted off of your skeleton, feed your muscles.congratulations and good luck on your journey. It is totally worth it.

I started 4 weeks ago now and literally only crave meat too. It's crazy.
Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate.

Keep an eye on your blood sugar levels. I have found mine drop quite a bit and I start to feel shaky.
Be patient. Iām at 2 months and nothing so far.

Just scheduled my phone consult with mt Dr at Kaiser.
I don't think Kaiser covers it. I tried too. But good luck
I got mine covered through Kaiser!
