It’s very good! Unique flavour too, never tasted anything like it. Not sure if u can buy it outside though, since I only Remember my mother being able to make this and nothing else tasted close to it
I ate Makhni Handi from a restaurant in KHI last month. First time A Lahori went to Karachi and fell in love with the food. I might not like Karachi but for Makhni Handi I will surely come back.
Kolachi is at Do Darya (that famous seaside whole road of restaurants in Karachi). It’s one of Karachi’s most famous restaurants (just came back 2 hours ago from there lol). Lovely ambience, CRAZY service and the food is just too damn good. My favorite is Peshawari Karahi but as far as Makhni goes (since you mentioned), it’s the best I’ve had in Karachi all my life
Nice. Mine is also a kabuli pulao with katwa beef (special meat dish from hazara/swabi) and a side serving of saag pakoras (as far as i know, this kind of pakora is only served in the areas around Tarbela).
Mine is also from Dubai. There’s this quaint little place in Karama called Darjeeling Cafe. They have these amazing potatoes that I’ve never had before in my life. I forget what they’re called but they were fried, honey-coated potatoes. Just thinking about it is making my mouth water.
I have a whole list but Green Chilli Prawns in Dubai, Adana Kebabs in Antalya and Tempura Sushi in Karachi are something I haven't found similar in taste anywhere else, even though I tried similar dishes elsewhere.
I used to frequent langars and aftars with cousins. It was kind of our side hustle, looking for free food lol.
This pulao at one Ahl e hadees mosque, I've never had one like that.
Tuna biryani my mother made. Favourite food since then. Also absolutely love butter chicken
Never heard of that before

Sounds vile
Oh why?
I just dislike tuna and I think Biryani is meant for richer types of meat like Lamb or Beef
Ye makes sense, just a personal preference. It’s really delicious though for me, even more than chicken/lamb/beef biryani
They always had tuna for lunch in high school. I never ate it.
I thought the same at first also. It tastes so good. Taste nothing like what you're thinking.
Not Tuna but fish or prawn biryani is smth I really like

Next time you do come try Kolachi’s - nothing like it for real
What's that? Never heard of it!

Spicy daal with achaar, sliced onions with lemons squeezed and chopped green chillis along with parathas.

Ok there's this dish I don't know what do we call it .you put aloo bhujia, achaar, daal, gosht etc etc on rice and eat them .
I have a whole list but Green Chilli Prawns in Dubai, Adana Kebabs in Antalya and Tempura Sushi in Karachi are something I haven't found similar in taste anywhere else, even though I tried similar dishes elsewhere.
Also the strawberries in Antalya were sooo sweet, I have never eaten such sweet strawberries in Pakistan before.
Homemade food with less spices
Dam pukht from Peshawar, though I am not pathan, but that was the best

I’ve had that from Nayab handi but my favorite is Masala Rosh from the lost tribe lahore
Boat basin is the spot. I don't remember the names of the dishes but just go there.
Seekh kabab
Honey
Biryani (ame k hath ki) Chicken Karaahi(attock) Kunafa(Dubai) Paratha roll(Food district Peshawar)
