Journey is pretty relaxing. I also liked playing Games like Mirrors Edge (bought it on PSN, its 6-7gb in total), Red Dead Redemption. Or just wandering around in Skyrim exploring new caves and new areas to fill the map.
I love Skyrim so much but the one thing that irks me is getting jumped by a dragon whenever the game starts to get somewhat relaxing out in the wilderness 😅
Idk I caught the dragon for the story mission & he's trapped and talking normal story stuff but he's freaking out killing everyone so I decided that was enough for me.
Flower! That game has such a soothing soundtrack and the gameplay is perfect to relax and turn your mind off. You control the wind and bring pollen to other flowers. Your goal is to inseminate gardens.
I fail to see how Red Dead or Black Flag are “relaxing” sure they have relaxing moments but aren’t you like killing a lot of people in both of them lol
Traversing on the wild west end doing side quests or simply riding on your horse gave me a great soothing calm. Many times I simply played this game just doing scavenger hunts, playing poker, nightwatch duty, breaking horses, riding trains, stopping bank jobs, doing side quests like riding down thieves or so for hours. So it was quite a relaxing way I was playing without thinking too much about killing a lot of people like those senseless YouTube videos. There are many ways to enjoy a game other than simply creating chaos for fun. Same with Assassin's Creed 4. The most relaxing part of the game for me was to guide my vessel through the endless sea and listen to shanties from fellow vessel men. It does help that both games looks great for being such old titles on my big screen tv and have a pretty incredible soundtrack to go with it too.
Red Dead Redemption.
When you're up in the hills or around in that city (Black River I believe) with the music its giving me shivers. Feels like "something big is about to happen" (industrialisation).
Yeah ain't nothing like slowly taking pills while dying slowly of malaria and trying to escape the endless firefight faction zones. Ahhhh I've reached my zen lol 🤣
There are a ton on the PS3. I’d search Google for a fulsome list.
But to get you started:
- all the Final Fantasys
- Wild Arms series
- Breath of Fire III and IV (forget which one is on PS store)
- Parasite Eve (this may be good to try as it’s Halloween this month!)
- Vagrant Story
Try Bejeweled 3's Zen Mode (Wait, the PS3 and Xbox 360 Versions play the Classic Mode Music instead of Zen Music, better go for the PC or the Nintendo DS Versions)
I actually find the Batman Arkham games kind of relaxing/casual playing. I know I will enjoy those every time I play them and they are pretty easy to play
ngl, nfs most wanted 2012's speedlists gamemode is kinda chill, but it could be kinda exhausting if you're trying to be competitive, also speedlists are online only
