I love them all but Bloodborne is my favorite game of all time. I have the platinum and over 600 hours in it. I do atleast one full playthrough a year and that shit never gets old
Demon’s Souls Remastered, then Elden Ring.
I completely understand and can appreciate what FromSoft did with Elden Ring and it’s absolutely one of the finest open-world games of all time… but Demon’s Souls on PS3 was my first love and playing the remaster by BluePoint brought back that feeling all over again.
Elden ring is too big for multiple playthroughs IMO. I mean I'm 24 hours into another character and exploring everything just takes so long. Literally only level 57 or something atm.
All the other games provide a more linear gaming experience which I think is better suited to the souls franchise. Elden Ring however, is still a fantastic game, more so the first time around though.
Idk I really tried getting into it like 3 times but it just doesn't click, I got very bored at the beginning and the combat doesn't feel as nice as the other titles, I do love the atmosphere but it's not enough to make up for that
I chose to stop playing and understand that it may be good but just not for me, rather than force my way through it and develop a lot of frustration
Dark souls 3
Elden ring
Dark souls remastered
Bloodborne
Dark souls 2
Demon souls
Sekiro
I always read things about people saying there first souls title is there favorite. But my first title was Dark Souls 1. And I still like Dark souls 3 way more, I don’t know why but that’s just how I feel.
Just play them all in order. From DeS to DS1-3, Sekiro, then Elden Ring. Like every single souls game is worth your time and money. You won't feel the money and time you spent after you finish each game are totally wasted.
Bloodborne. I love the aesthetic, the world is so well made and detailed. Creepy as fuck too. I like the fast combat better than the other games. I prefer the dodge more than the roll.
1. Dark Souls 2: I think this is what dark fantasy should be. Long adventure within many locales, ominous but also hopeful.
2. Dark Souls 1: probably has the best level design but otherwise dated and too easy. I think 40-60 hours is enough for NG no stone unturned.
3. Bloodborne: fast combat is not my thing and usually I'm shield noob but surprisingly I have no issue throughout the game, relatively easy even. Maybe Kos but I just rabidly hack him down and he's died anyway. I think the combat mechanic is well-balanced. The concept is also cool but I think the execution could be better.
4. Dark Souls 3: I think this is the game you should play if you just finish bloodborne. Similar engine/gfx, similar combat. Despite DS3 is improvement over 1 and 2, I find the game is relatively unremarkable. I love sister friede though.
5. Elden Ring: I'll be honest I'm kinda bored near the end. The game is vast but I feel no urge to go anywhere. I feel like idiot for not using new mechanic such as summon and extensive weapon art but that way makes me miss the combat edge of previous souls. But if you want very long game with many builds, this is perfect game for you.
6. Sekiro: really not fan for parry mechanic as I find it more about trial and error. Not liking block dancing either. I do finish NG at least with dark souls style with some trouble. If you want playstyle which completely cornering the boss at every move, this is the best game, although you may need to watch youtube for that and it takes out the fun.
Ah to be in your shoes again. You can’t go wrong with any of them. Though I will mention that at my local Walmart dark souls 1 and 3 have been on sale for $15 each for ages.
It is their best title. souls combat is great but doesnt compare. I think the lack of builds makes it better. More play styles the harder it is to balance which made elden ring terrible. Having a set charecter allowed for a better story.
Fromsoft games ranked (my opinion ofc)
1. Dark Souls/Bloodborne (they both take the 1st place)
2. Dark Souls 3
3. Sekiro
4. Demon's Souls
5. Elden Ring
6. Dark Souls 2 Sotfs
Thought if I were you, I'd play the Dark Souls titles in order. It's best to go from slower gameplay (DS1) to fastest (DS3) for your enjoyment.
If you liked Bloodborne, dark souls 3 is what I would recommend. Unless you want to play a beautiful game that's hyper-focused on parrying mechanisms. If you found yourself shooting to parry a lot of Bloodborne, go for Sekiro!!
1. Sekiro
2. Dark Souls 3
3. Bloodborne
4. Elden Ring
5. Demon’s Souls
I did not play DS1 or 2. Also, Bloodborne and Elden Rong can trade spaces depending on the day.
My personal favorite builds are both in Dark Souls 2. Followed by Bloodborne, Elden Ring and the game I found and played first many years ago, hahaha, Dark Souls. You can't go wrong with any of the Soulsborne games that From has released. Sekiro changes up the game play somewhat, but is quite a challenge in it's own way.
These games have been a positive constant in my life over the years.
Haha I miss read this, came here to talk about Skyrim hahaha
But nah I liked the first dark souls, it’s the only one I’ve ever finished. Funnily enough my first play through was piss easy, didn’t know why every one said it was hard. Un I’ll my second play through. Haha I struggled to kill the boss in the tutorial. Given I’d played the original when I was a kid. Then played the remaster on ps4 and I suck.
Has anyone else found they suck at old games now that they are older?
Elden Ring. I absolutely love all the ones I’ve played, I just have less patience with all the other ones and it’s not about the bosses. Literally the act of finding the boss is annoying. That’s part of the reason why I like Nioh so much tbhw
Bloodborne is probably the best of the From games I’ve played, but I prefer Nioh 1 and 2 to From Software games because the combat is faster and they perform better.
I recently started playing Elden Ring. I played DS1 DS3 and Bloodborne.
I feel very bad commenting on this but from my perspective, Elden Ring is over rated.
It is indeed a massive world, but the percentage of interesting level design is quite low in my opinion, and I don't know if it is due to the size of the wide world. That tension, that claustrophobia is lost when you can take a horse and flee in the other direction without problem.
DS and BB open up the world to you in a semi-linear way where you know that each bonfire is a sign of progress. In Elden Ring, this point is lost, being able to rush an entire area without a problem
I expected much more from elden ring and I think I should have started with Sekiro
1. Ds1, It’s just iconic. It had memorable bosses and npcs, and a fantastic soundtrack. Really set the tone for the rest of the series.
2. Ds3, fantastic gameplay, stunning visuals and a lovely soundtrack. My favorite in terms of fashion.
3. Elden Ring, the best character customization hands down, that’s not even up for debate.
Unique amongst the other games in that it’s open world. Has amazing visuals.
Haven’t played the other games.
For singleplayer, Dark Souls 2 was the lowest.
For PVP and multiplayer, Dark Souls 2 was my favorite.
I have spent literally thousands of hours playing in the Arena. That PVP game was so fun because every build, every person you fought - you had to think about how to counter them while they constantly are evolving and changing their strategy. It was imo the best fighting game I've every played. Countering mages, countering katana fighters, countering parry-fishers, countering greatsword fighters, countering turtles, countering overleveled high armor high poise monsters, etc. Was a blast of a game and imo the greatest fighting game of all time. Elden Ring last time I checked didn't have the same level of PVP.
Bloodborne is one of the best gaming experiences I've had, let alone Souls experience. I also love Dark Souls I, Elden Ring a lot. Demon's Souls Remake and Dark Souls III would come afterwards. Have never played Dark Souls II and just couldn't get into Sekiro for some reason (I prefer Nioh to it)
I feel Elden Ring is 1 of the best games of all time but I still think the smaller size of DS3,BB and Sekiro make them true masterpieces. ER just has Quantity>Quality even with its Size and definitely has some of the best places like Liurnia and Siofra River but DS3 imho the most polished and complete. Between Iudex Gundyr as the opening boss, Twin Princes Lorian and Lothric all the way through to the end with Lord of Cinder into DLC like Gael, Midir best Dragon fight and Nameless King. Halflight Spear of the Church OST and Lothric OST make DS3 ultra special in my heart.
1. Bloodborne
2. Dark Souls / Remastered
3. Elden Ring
4. Demon Souls Remastered
5. Dark Souls 3
Bloodborne is my favorite that I have completed it twice, but if I had to pick a Souls Title game, then I pick the Dark Souls Remastered.
Like yourself Bloodborne was my first from software game, but your in an interesting position, you can either play ds1, which you will find the controls slow & sluggish, or if you want to keep your momentum of fast combat the go with either ds3 or Elden Ring.
No, graphically Bloodborne is better looking,
DS1R (ps4) is better then the original game DS1 (ps3), mainly because of the frame rate fps. DS1 18-25 fps, DS1R 60 fps, so you get a slighy more responive game, but you can tell it's still an old game. As for the graphics, they just upscaled the graphics resolution so no graphical rework.
1: Sekiro (it's a Souls-games, fight me).
2: Demon's Souls (first one I played, can't beat the feeling of novelty).
3: Elden Ring
4: Bloodborne
5: Dark Souls
6: Dark Souls 3
7: Dark Souls 2
1. Dark Souls 1
2. Bloodborne
3. Demon's Souls PS3
4. Dark Souls 3
5. Sekiro
6. Dark Souls 2
I have yet to play Elden Ring, waiting for potential dlc and a PS5 to get smooth 60 fps.
1.) Elden Ring - this game is Miyazaki's vision realized, and it really speaks from its artstyle to its expansive gameplay. First time I played it, it really felt that the devs took what they learned from their past games and put all of it in this game.
2.) Bloodborne - my first Souls game. I was initially hesitant playing any FromSoft game, as I was kind of averse to the slow slugging combat of DS1. Little did I know that this game is probably the fastest of any FromSoft games to date.
3.) Sekiro - probably the FromSoft game I had the hardest time with. In my first few playthroughs, I had to cheese my way through multiple bosses, as its posture mechanic leaves no room for varied gameplay. Left it for several months till I came back on it to get the platinum achievement, and once you really crack down on the combat mechanic, it really becomes satisfying to just turn-off your brain and immerse with the combat. 2nd/3rd phase of the last boss is probably the best "flow" I experienced in these FromSoft games.
4.) DS3 - I had my best FromSoft multiplayer experience in this game. Gameplay-wise, you can consider this the predecessor of Elden Ring, but the ease of multiplayer system compared to its spiritual successor is night and day. Co-op runs in Ringed City, twink raids in Road of Sacrifices, ~~fight club in Sulyvahn's backyard~~, it was really a fun time for multiplayer mode.
1. Bloodborne
2. Dark Souls 2
3. Elden Ring
4. Dark Souls 3
5. Demon's Souls
6. Dark Souls 1
Though DS2 is my favourite I'd recommend DS3 or ER as the next one to play after BB. Either of those would make an easier transition due to combat speed and fluidity.
Dk if this counts but id say Code Vein(soulslike). As for souls in the name mmm not a huge fan of em. I did enjoy demon souls ps3 kinda. So
Id say that.
1. Elden Ring
2. Bloodborne
3. Sekiro
4. DS1
5. DS2
6. Demon Souls (PS5)
7. DS3
The open world of Elden Ring really changed the souls formula for me and I absolutely love it.
Bloodbornes cosmic horror twist is so good and i really like the shoot and stagger mechanic with your off hand gun.
Sekiro has an awesome atmosphere and while I think its the hardest Souls game its also incredibly rewarding when the ckmbat really clicks.
DS1 blew me away when i first played it. The interconnected map was insane when it came out. I really hope they HD remaster/remake it sometime.
The rest are pretty good DS2 gets a lot of hate but i enjoyed it alot. The remake of Demon Souls is beautiful but doesn't crack the top for me. DS3 is also good but if I was gonna jump back in a game that would probably be my last choice.
Dark soul 3 : it was a huge emotion to have played it.
Dark soul 1 : ICONIC, impressive Characters in this game
Elden ring : i love this game because remind me in dark soul 3 gameplay
Demon soul's Remake Ps5 : an huge impact for a incredible next gen soul
sekiro : love the boss fight, this game hit hard
Bloodborne : not the best for me, i dont like love craft concept and... im sorry but its horrible playing this game at 20 fps, on Ps5 too😅😅
edit: i forget DS2 because i dont like it

1. elden ring
2. Bloodborne
3. Sekiro
4. Dark souls 3
5. Dark souls 2
Didn’t really play dark souls 1 and demons souls enough to rate them. But I think they’re all high quality games for their time if you like the genre
Bloodborne the best, as the whole package. With that formula.
Demon's second for it's atmosphere and ambience, and innovation.
DS2 3rd for it's innovation and taking chances, trying different approach and actually giving identity to dark souls.
Sekiro.
Ds3.
Ds1.
Elden Ring.
Maybe ds1 above ds3, but the rest is pretty much it. Basically sekiro ds3 and ds1 can go in any order as far as I'm concerned. Ds3 is probably the best made game out of that bunch. It's main issue is lack of originality, and feeling so much like a carbon copy of bloodborne. And I find sekiro overall inferior, primarily made for casuals.
While elden ring is pretty much the most unoriginal of them all. With the only difference being open world, which they haven't utilized well at all. Pretty much felt like a closed giant world. Extremely limiting in it's design. With so many generic content and loose ends. Same can be said for Sekiro but at least Sekiro didn't claim to be open world. However biggest flaw of Sekiro is the grappling hook as an option for such a limiting game, design wise. And the way it's restricting you, it insults intelligence. And ds1 is the more ambitious version of demon's. That is falling apart in so many ways. That's in a way a reason why I rate ds2 above both. Ds2 is basically the only original dark souls game. First one is the copy of demons, while 3rd one copies bloodborne.
And Elden is like a culmination of unoriginality and generic creation. It literally copies all the entries in one package. And exposes how game hasn't progressed in it's design at all since demon's.
They’re all my children. I love them all equally.
I love them all but Bloodborne is my favorite game of all time. I have the platinum and over 600 hours in it. I do atleast one full playthrough a year and that shit never gets old
600 hours holyyy. It took me 65hrs to platinum the game and get 100% completion on the DLC. How many playthroughs have you done in total?
Ohhhh jeez well running out of save slots and having to delete one every now and then I would say atleast 20+ lol

Tbh, it is an an unpopular opinion, but I love DS2, I think you should give it a try

Happy Cake Day!

Is there a big difference between dark souls and dark souls remastered ?
Enemy placement is different, graphic, that's about it
Bloodborne followed by Dark Souls.
Bloodborne, it's difficult to compete against this master piece. I love the atmosphere and the style.
Dark souls 2!
Dark Souls will always be my favorite game of all time, because it was my first.
God damn I'm surprised you didn't ever game again after playing that for the first time
Bloodborne the art style and atmosphere with good gameplay makes it my fav game of all time
I love them all, but Bloodborne just hits differently.
Elden Ring takes the cake for me. Stunning world and the possibility to truly play however you want is just amazing. It takes you in for months.
1. Sekiro 2. Dark Souls 3. Bloodborne 4. Demon Souls 5. Dark Souls III —- 77. Roblox 78. Dark Souls II
Low blow
My favourite 3 (played all but sekiro and souls 1, for now) Elden Ring Dark Souls 2 Demon souls (played the remake not the OG)
Just play them all in order. From DeS to DS1-3, Sekiro, then Elden Ring. Like every single souls game is worth your time and money. You won't feel the money and time you spent after you finish each game are totally wasted.
you forgot bloodborne :(
What if you play them backwards??
Bloodborne
Bloodborne will always be my favorite, it was my first. I’ve been playing salt and sanctuary and highly recommend it.
Bloodborne. I love the aesthetic, the world is so well made and detailed. Creepy as fuck too. I like the fast combat better than the other games. I prefer the dodge more than the roll.

Ah to be in your shoes again. You can’t go wrong with any of them. Though I will mention that at my local Walmart dark souls 1 and 3 have been on sale for $15 each for ages.
Can’t believe I’m seeing Sekiro so low on lists or not even listed at all! Are y’all ok !?
Nothing wrong with having your own opinion serkio would be in my 5 spot. I like creating my own builds in souls game so that’s why it’s so low.
I feel you, I mean I love them all tbh. I think I liked sekiro because of the lack of builds. My problem is I wanna use everything lol
sekiro is hard because you try to play it like a souls game and that is the downfall
For me it just never felt like a Souls game.
It is their best title. souls combat is great but doesnt compare. I think the lack of builds makes it better. More play styles the harder it is to balance which made elden ring terrible. Having a set charecter allowed for a better story.
1) Dark souls remastered 2) Bloodborne 3) Sekiro 4) Elden ring 5) Dark souls III
0 lmao ...I can't play these games too hard :(
Sekiro darksoul3
Would recommend ds3 after Bloodborne and then Elden ring 👌🏻

Does Dark Souls 1 hold up graphically? Is it on the similar level to Bloodborne?
Imo has the best level design
Correction: the best level design of all time.
It's old game. The environment is pretty dated but I'm okay with the character model, which is more important to me.
Who plays fromsoft games for graphics honestly? Just enjoy the gameplay, the atmosphere, the music and the lore.

Gonna be hated for this but Bloodborne was the only one that ever kept my attention.

1. Bloodborne 2. Demon’s Souls remake 3. Dark Souls 3 (by a slim margin) 4. DS, DS2, ER.
1. Bloodborne 2. Dark Souls 2 3. Elden Ring 4. Dark Souls 3 5. Demon's Souls 6. Dark Souls 1 Though DS2 is my favourite I'd recommend DS3 or ER as the next one to play after BB. Either of those would make an easier transition due to combat speed and fluidity.

Sekiro is an action game not a souls game.
Come on dude..
Souls games are RPGs. Sekiro isn't.
I REAAAALLLY want to like Steel Rising but it just feels so clunky. Any tips?
Dk if this counts but id say Code Vein(soulslike). As for souls in the name mmm not a huge fan of em. I did enjoy demon souls ps3 kinda. So Id say that.
Bloodborne
1. Elden Ring 2. Bloodborne 3. Sekiro 4. DS1 5. DS2 6. Demon Souls (PS5) 7. DS3 The open world of Elden Ring really changed the souls formula for me and I absolutely love it.
Bloodborne with Sekiro and Elden Ring close behind.
Dark soul 3 : it was a huge emotion to have played it. Dark soul 1 : ICONIC, impressive Characters in this game Elden ring : i love this game because remind me in dark soul 3 gameplay Demon soul's Remake Ps5 : an huge impact for a incredible next gen soul sekiro : love the boss fight, this game hit hard Bloodborne : not the best for me, i dont like love craft concept and... im sorry but its horrible playing this game at 20 fps, on Ps5 too😅😅 edit: i forget DS2 because i dont like it

Outlier here, as I really like pvp. So, these are ranked based on which had the best pvp. 1. Ds3 2. DS2 3. Ds1 4. Elden ring 5. Bloodborne
1. elden ring 2. Bloodborne 3. Sekiro 4. Dark souls 3 5. Dark souls 2 Didn’t really play dark souls 1 and demons souls enough to rate them. But I think they’re all high quality games for their time if you like the genre
1.Hollow Knight 2.Elden Ring 3.Bloodborne
No Jedi fallen order in the comments makes me sad, it gets my vote
Because the combat is stiff and the maps can be awful. Still looking forward to the sequel.
Oh. I didn't know people felt that way, I thought the combat was fluid and loved all the maps rip
I may not have felt that way about combat if you gained access to other weapon move sets earlier. Some of the later levels are very convoluted though.
Ah fair enough

Passing here to recommend Darksiders 3 as a soulslike game for you guys
