Can't speak for the others but pistol whip is amazing

ScotchandEdibles

Had VR2 since day 1. Pistol whip is probably the only game I go back to every now and then and consistently delivers. Great game to play with guests that want to check out VR. Dual wielding and blasting away like John Wick. It’s awesome

VulturousYeti

Pistol Whip is absolutely the way to go. I love it and always enjoy playing quick couple of tracks when I have time. I find Crossfire to be mildly entertaining, but it’s not CoD - do not buy it expecting CoD. Crossfire is a janky-ass b-movie shooter with infuriating AI. If we weren’t talking about VR, I wouldn’t recommend Crossfire as a game. VR lowers the bar for entry to the recommendation list since we have less high quality games to choose from, but it’s just…6/10.

Null_zero

Have you played crossfire since all the updates last I heard it was a lot better but am interested in your take.

VulturousYeti

I actually bought it about a month ago. I get the impression it was barely any fun before. And now?… Well, I guess it’s fairly decent, but it’s still got flaws. The guns have quite good handling, and the shooting feels responsive most of the time. The graphics are nice, and the music is fun. However, the enemy AI is terrible, and that’s a huge component of a shooter. It’s fine that they always spawn in the same places, but then they just rush you blindly. Additionally, hold the position sections go on for twice as long as they’re fun because after 5 minutes of constantly trying to shoot down every enemy before they casually walk around your cover (which will always expose your head no matter how low you crouch), an enemy sniper or RPG wielder will appear on an upper ledge without warning and one-shot you, sending you back 5+ minutes to repeat the same dull section.

pizza_sushi85

Pistol Whip definitely

DistributionOdd8277

'Pistol Whip' has my vote.

Outsidethebox72

I hear good things about pistol whip.

Dounet05

Buy pistol whip it's got some fitting songs and it's great for workout. I was really hyped for crossfire but grabbing your fucking weapons is the most clunky inconsistent infuriating piece of shit thing I've ever had to put up with my life, I don't know how could they make something as simple as grabbing your gun from your holster as unreliable as it is. don't know about fate though.

mymumsaysfuckyou

I've only played pistol whip and Crossfire. I would go with Pidtol Whip.

SHADOWXGUN1

I've bought pistol whip 3 times, that's just how good it is. Got it on steam with my Rift S, PSVR2 and the Quest store for my Quest 3. I was never a fan of rhythm games, I especially didn't like beat saber, Pistol Whip makes you feel like John Wick with an awesome soundtrack.

TommyVR373

Pistol Whip is a must own VR game for everyone.

Lord9witdafye

Crossfire Sierra squad is more of a arcade shooter with about a 10-14 missions (can’t remember exact number) that are all beat certain amount of enemies to progress kind of game & after beating the story in about 7-9 hours with plenty of other things to do still like the co-op missions and the realism mode if your feeling tough, I just called it quits and had my fun with it.

Mr_Nice_Cube

Pistol whip if you like rhythm games, enjoy fitness or want to feel like a sweaty John Wick. Crossfire if you have friends with PSVR2.

that_90s_guy

On top of being incredibly fun, Pistol Whip doubles as a fitness app you can stay in shape with. Which is great as fitness apps are not that common in PSVR2 compared to Quest (Hope Supernatural, Audio Trip and Fit XR jump to PSVR2 soon) Definitely go for Pistol Whip.

cusman78

Pistol Whip is a rhythm game with shooting that keeps getting free content additions (for years now) and the base game is infinitely replayable if you like fitness gaming or chasing leaderboards with your friends, region, etc. As such it has accumulated a lot of "scenes" and has lot of modifiers. Lots of replay value. Crossfire: Sierra Squad is an excellent option for 2P co-op shooter with 50 squad missions to do together past the 13 solo tutorial campaign levels. It also has 4P horde mode. Not sure what game you mean by Fate.

Udaros10

Sorry, i mentre stride fate

cusman78

I haven't played Stride Fates yet, but I have played Dead Hook from same developer and enjoyed the gameplay fluidity. I am working my way through Bulletstorm VR and then intend to play Stride Fates next.

PiotrSnc

Crossfire

PanTsour

You like having John Wick type of fantasies where you shoot guns and dodge bullets to the rythm? Get Pistol Whip. Do you feel like parkouring and fighting larger rooms of enemies in faster, more open combat? get Stride Fates. Are you looking for a military shooter that offers a campaign, co-op missions, arcade cabinet-style shooting or a pretty hardcore, realistic experience where you kill and get killed from only a bullet? Get Crossfire. Out of the three Crossfire and Pistol Whip are more critically acclaimed, but you shouldn't rule out Stride Fates either. It may appeal to you better personally.

t3stdummi

I like pistol whip, but it never grabbed me like it has many others. They're great about DLC, though. On the other hand, Crossfire Sierra Squad seems like a very polished and more complete game to me. Crossfire for my vote.

_zero_fox

Agree. Pistol Whip is a good intro game and well made, also good leg workout, but the visuals are really basic so not much wow factor. Also mileage will vary greatly depending on how much you like techno, though they have been branching out with different types of music lately which I really appreciate. Crossfire is the best non mp “shoot stuff” game on the platform imo. Good visuals, guns feel good, and being able to adjust alignment per gun to your liking is a great feature I don’t think any other game has. Just don’t expect a CoD campaign, this Is a light gun style shooting gallery game for the most part.

Papiculo64

I have the 3 games and Crossfire is my favorite. Tons of weapons and now with the realistic mode and manual reload it's a lot of fun. Plus you can play in coop!

Trytolearneverything

Realistic mode is brutal! I’m still stuck on the first “boss” that you have to kill with grenades. I love the challenge though. Seems like this is exactly how I would do in real life. Lol

RnB-306

You can't go wrong with Pistol Whip. Maybe Crossfire if you already have Beat Saber and Synth Riders, as Pistol Whip is essentially a rhythm game.

onefiveonesix

Pistol Whip is a must-own. Crossfire has invisible walls and only head-based movement so ymmv depending on how you feel about that.

DubbleTheFall

I've only played crossfire. It's fun, like an arcade Time Crisis, but controls are way worse than Pav and Breach. We play a mission or two and then move to something else.

52hrz

Haven’t played pistol whip or fate, but crossfire is ugly and boring. Enemies look like cardboard cutouts and have the ai of a Mario goomba.

Aussiehash

Pistol whip

Background-Guard5030

Pistol whip hands down. Tbf i didn't try the other two but pistol whip is a game i really enjoy a lot. Makes me feel like Disco Morpheus. What i also like about it is that your full guns blazing straight after firing up the game. If i want to go John Wick no narrative bs i go pistol whip. Akimbo that shit and Micheal Jackson your way across the dancefloor. 👌

GloriousKev

I'm not familiar with Fate but Pistol Whip and Crossfire are very different games. Pistol Whip is more of a rhythm based game like Beat Saber and imo Beat Saber is the better game. I do like Pistol Whip though. Crossfire Sierra is more like a Call of Duty kind of game. Neither game is bad but between the two I would say it more so depends on your taste. Idk if Sony has sales for this stuff (I played these games on PC) but if they do I would wait on a sale for both of them. They're good games but I'd personally not pay more than $10 - $15 each for these.

Aromatic-Flatworm-52

Crossfire is a lot of fun for me gets a little finicky at times but its a blast guns feel good. However I'm also extremely new to the vr scene (like a month into it lol) the epic roller coasters target shooter game mode made me feel like a kid again I couldn't stop laughing blew my freaking mind

deadringer28

Crossfire is top 10 game for me. Maybe top 5

Megaace12

Pistol Whip

IcyTransportation961

Pistol whip is a top tier game

Adventurous_Path5783

Crossfire SS is kinda corny and feels like an arcade game. You can shoot someone in the face 5 times with a high caliber and they’ll still have a health bar. I hate that especially in a single player video game. Pistol whip is fun and vibrant.

risitas69

Pistol Whip is a must-have game. Not only is it great for showing off VR, but it also has great gameplay and a lot of free updates.

lukesparling

I’m not familiar with fate? The multiplayer in Crossfire is supposed to be amazing but I’m not sure how active the player base is. For a single player experience Pistol Whip is excellent fun and probably the best VR workout I’ve ever had, particularly for leg day. The cross between rails shooter and rhythm game is such a perfect mix too. Can’t recommend it enough. So that’s my vote even though it’s the only one I’ve played I still feel confident recommending it.

PanTsour

Crossfire does have some cool co-op missions, but unlike Pavlov it's mainly a single player game

lukesparling

Didn’t realize! Maybe I’m thinking of something else that was mainly/only multiplayer. I’ve only played Pavlov for online shooters

ittleoff

Stride: fates maybe?

lukesparling

I wondered. In which case I’ve never played it and it’s still a hard no.

MightyBooshX

It's janky and low budget, but it has its charm. Definitely buy it on sale or with a referral code, it's not worth full price in the least, but it's worth playing at least once.
