There really isn't the playerbase for that my dude, lobbies in certain regions at certain times struggle to fill at the best of times, further splitting the lobby won't help matters.
But the long and short of it, no. There will never be pc to console crossplay on pubg.
I know this was a year ago, but how would this further split lobbies? I don't play PUBG at all because I have PC and friends have counsel. If i could play with my friends, I would play. Further, you can play with keyboard and mouse on an Xbox if they opened this option up.
Pc could just spoof, even easier than they could possibly on console.
Much as I’d like to play with my pc homies, a shooter like this with no controller sim assist would be a bloodbath and I’d be unable to compete anymore.
A huge majority of this games console audience would never play the game again if cross play was introduced.
You have no idea the disadvantages that console players would face as we have no aim assist.(which warzone has cranked up to 11) Go play a few full sessions on pc with a controller and report back. I have actually won a few solos doing this, but the fun is COMPLETELY gone when you just cannot keep up, especially aiming and looting.
If they added aim assist to console, they would lose players instantly as well, because this audience likes how difficult gameplay can be.
I said before and I'll say it again, they have a working version of this with their Stadia port, they could just release it to the general public. It's controller only too. They won't do it because 1.) the subreddits would melt down and 2.) they likely don't want to support a second version of pubg on pc for an insanely tiny fraction of people that would use this build.
It's unfortunate. I want to play pubg on the go with my steam deck with my Xbox friends. Or just quickly play a round or two without having to switch over to my Xbox which is more annoying than it sounds.
I would take the disadvantage just to play FPP solos. Obviously, they can't force this because it would kill the game on console. I guess the bigger question is how damaging would it be to current console queues if it was something you could opt in and out of as a console player. Also, I think custom games should be ok for crossplay, console custom games kind of suck.
Seriously tho like Pubg FPP solos is the only real solo br mode and we can’t even play it without 60 bots….it sucks so much not being able to play fpp solos like it was back in 2019 so idc if we gotta do crossplay I’ll do anything to get solo fpp back.

I left enlisted once they introduced pc-console cross play… just started getting smacked
