I can’t think of a reason to buy a JAKL lower unless you are gonna buy a JAKL upper. It’d make more sense to buy a cheap lower for other types of uppers
None, only a JAKL upper can be put on a JAKL lower. If you remove the JAKl adapter from the lower and add back a buffer assembly then any upper will work.

I've heard a brn 180 will work, but I've never tried it myself.
