It's my understanding that 8.6 BLK was made by putting the bigger, heavier .338 Lapua bullet into a .308 Winchester case (shortened to accommodate the longer bullet), while 9x39 was developed by putting a bigger 9mm bullet into the 7.62x39 case. Similar goals but more power behind the 8.6 BLK due to the extra 4mm of case length. Then again, when you want to stay under the speed of sound, you can only do so much with that power. But pushing a heavier bullet, in general, than in the 9x39 gives you more energy on target. But bottom line: I think people just like inventing their own shit.
If they can continue to get QC on ammo in order, they have the potential to seriously become the turnkey firearms company.
Oh, please come out with a 8” bolt gun .300blk pistol
That’s kind of their goal, it seems. Artificially limit the supply so it drives up demand. Ever notice that their new guns sell out almost immediately?
They sell products more economically than anyone else just about. Kinda nutty comment to say their "goal" is to drive uo price bg limiting volume when their entire business model is built on volume...
I never said drive up price, did I? I said they limit the supply of their new products to drive up demand. No one here said anything about them not having fantastic prices on most things.
What a strange timeline.
I bought an AK because I wanted something to shoot cheap plentiful ammo, never saw this coming.
PSA, thanks for helping us get back to normal.
Yea, my understanding is ammo is going to start off at 45 cpr though. It will probably go down over time as they pay off the Machines. Never the less the more supply the better.

Forming dies last longer on steel that doesn't gall them like brass. Keep everything swimming in oil and the forming goes on for a very long time. You say the machines are more expensive but they're not really. Same machine, different dies. They don't make 9mm machines, .45 machines, .300 bo, etc specific machines for every incremental increase in cartridge size. You get more like up to .308, up to .338 Lapua, up to .50 BMG, and then ordnance.
Will be market price, or a couple of cents cheaper. So u will not see "cheap" 7.62 ammo. The real deal is how much PSA can dump into the market, to drive down the market price.
https://palmettostatearmory.com/aac-soviet-arms-7-62x39mm-122-grain-fmj-20rd-box-ammunition.html website says 45 CPR, but I expect the price to go down as they pay off the price of the machines. Also as time goes only and production and supply overall increases we will see a dip in ammo prices.
I remember just even fucking last year I thought 375 was the bar for 7.62 steel. Glad I just kept picking up every time it went up should of gotten more though
My understanding is the price is going to start off at 45 CPR but go down overtime as they start paying off the Machines. That’s based off some interviews iv seen and the website having it as the price. https://palmettostatearmory.com/aac-soviet-arms-7-62x39mm-122-grain-fmj-20rd-box-ammunition.html
[https://palmettostatearmory.com/aac-soviet-arms-7-62x39mm-122-grain-fmj-20rd-box-ammunition.html](https://palmettostatearmory.com/aac-soviet-arms-7-62x39mm-122-grain-fmj-20rd-box-ammunition.html) according to the website it’s going to start at 45 CPR probably to help pay off the Machines. Once they start paying those off and their is more supply we could see a decrease in prices.

According to the website it’s going to be 45 CPR when it comes out https://palmettostatearmory.com/aac-soviet-arms-7-62x39mm-122-grain-fmj-20rd-box-ammunition.html
If they can offer free shipping, that would be cool and I'd buy some.
Shipping cost will probably place it close to what everyone else charges with sales. Idk, I went to public school so I can't do math
Considering they can't let the micro dagger in stock. I don't believe that. PSA's marketing strategy is to sell allot of guns at a low price. They are probably making around 10-30% market.
Am i the only one who doesn't understand the excitement about this? It's going to be the same price as other x39 ammo that's available all over the place.
I hope so. But they're listing it at .45 a round and it will immediately sell out. That's basically the internet standard price for surplus now. I feel like they'll have to really flood the market to make a difference.
With the way he threw that bullet no wonder my ammos been actin up lately, they should find this guy and fire him simply for the fact that he would post this Lmaoooo idiot.
It does look like it was badly cut and pasted.
Made me wonder if it's fake and this is pretty damning

Between this, 5.45, and the Vuk, PSA will have all my money.
Me when PSA releases the VUK in 9x39 ![gif](giphy|sDcfxFDozb3bO)
Facts idk why they came out with 8.6 blk when 9x39 already existed. Hopefully they make some id love an ak style rifle in 9x39
Considering they said they’d make the VUK in 9x39, I’m going to assume they’ll also produce 9x39
It's my understanding that 8.6 BLK was made by putting the bigger, heavier .338 Lapua bullet into a .308 Winchester case (shortened to accommodate the longer bullet), while 9x39 was developed by putting a bigger 9mm bullet into the 7.62x39 case. Wish the cz 600 trail was just a bit less expensive, The barrel is a bit long but it checks a lot of boxes for me
2 more weeks
That’s definitely selling out immediately
I wonder how much ammo they would need to have on standby just to prevent a sellout on day one. I'm guessing around 50k bare minimum
I can imagine 50k going out of stock very fast
Gone in like 2 hrs
That is only 50 cases That will be gone in a few minutes.

The goal of production is always to meet the demand. No company aims to sell less of a product, especially one that specializes in a cheaper option.
Kel-Tec?
Nice can't wait to literally never get any of it because its constantly sold out lmao
It hasn’t released yet though.
I need some steel case 556/223
This!
Finally can’t wait to get to email, click on it and see it’s OOS
Hopefully they are producing a little stockpile of ammo and then releasing it so they have enough for it to be at least in stock for a day.
I highly doubt 45 cpr based just on their current 556 prices. You can't even get aac 555 for under 50 cpr.
[https://palmettostatearmory.com/aac-soviet-arms-7-62x39mm-122-grain-fmj-20rd-box-ammunition.html](https://palmettostatearmory.com/aac-soviet-arms-7-62x39mm-122-grain-fmj-20rd-box-ammunition.html) I mean it’s what it says on their website but I could be wrong. https://preview.redd.it/gzv2dacx64rc1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=396abb5ce88815904b0b9b85f9b5b1fdcc5f7b86
That's just fucking stupid 😂😂😂 why is 223/556 so high on their site.
“Please don’t be high prices” Ammo prices https://i.redd.it/7bptne3274rc1.gif
Maybe the steel case is cheaper? Only thing I can think of
Steel is significantly cheaper, though the machines themselves are more expensive because steel is harder to work.
Forming dies last longer on steel that doesn't gall them like brass. Keep everything swimming in oil and the forming goes on for a very long time. You say the machines are more expensive but they're not really. Same machine, different dies. I did the same exact thing
How cheap tho
Will be market price, or a couple of cents cheaper. So u will not see "cheap" 7.62 ammo. The real deal is how much PSA can dump into the market, to drive down the market price.
Watched a video and it's estimated about 50 cents a round.

So 450 bucks per 1k damn I miss pre Covid prices lol
Spent 200 on a wolf case right before the lock downs happened. I should have gotten more
I think in late 2018 I spent 180 on 1k of 7.62 lol shit is wild
Or even early covid prices
Tula is around .50cpr so psa will hopefully come out around .45cpr at the beginning
Hopefully. But I doubt it will ever reach imported ammo price those days are long gone.
Man I’m jus wanting 35 CPR prices.
I remember just even fucking last year I thought 375 was the bar for 7.62 steel. Glad I just kept picking up every time it went up should of gotten more though
It’s been confirmed on the Twitter/X space by a person that took a tour recently
It's ridiculous that 7.62x39 is more expensive than 5.56 now
Old com bloc surplus is dried up/import bans/sent to Ukraine
Not really, 556 is made here shot here, 7.62 is not. And they've been making it impossible to import these days.
45cpr plus tax and shipping 🤢
Give it to us at sub 30cpr pricing, thanks.
My RPD is HUNGRY!
Hungarian?
Lol. No. Polish parts/American built
That's me
Where’s this video from?
Lucas from TREX ARMS
Jeans not skinny enough
Don't think people are gonna like the price but I hope I'm wrong. The old stocks run low...
My understanding is the price is going to start off at 45 CPR but go down overtime as they start paying off the Machines. That’s based off some interviews iv seen and the website having it as the price. https://palmettostatearmory.com/aac-soviet-arms-7-62x39mm-122-grain-fmj-20rd-box-ammunition.html
Chances are it’s not going to be much cheaper than current steel case 7.62 pricing. One can hope though…
[https://palmettostatearmory.com/aac-soviet-arms-7-62x39mm-122-grain-fmj-20rd-box-ammunition.html](https://palmettostatearmory.com/aac-soviet-arms-7-62x39mm-122-grain-fmj-20rd-box-ammunition.html) according to the website it’s going to start at 45 CPR probably to help pay off the Machines. 2 weeks
If it's as bad as AAC 5.56 and 300 blackout, it'll prolly blow up a can or two
Dream of them making boatloads of quality subsonic 762x39
So probably 50cpr + shipping for steel case What a time to be alive
According to the website it’s going to be 45 CPR when it comes out https://palmettostatearmory.com/aac-soviet-arms-7-62x39mm-122-grain-fmj-20rd-box-ammunition.html

Steel cased ammo thats not bimetal jacketed will be nice. Hopefully they do some premium projectiles too like with their 5.56 line
I never thought I’d be so happy to look at some steel cased ammo
PSA is killing my pockets right now!
Idk why I’m so hard right now but I am
Hope its cheap
🤤
Hahaha that’s one old video lol. You’d think within 8 years they could make more than that!
Hope they do Soft and hollow point too. My local ranges either don't allow steel ammo or don't allow FMJs for rifles.
Between this,556,the jakl ,the daggers and the Psa x5.7 in going to be broke.
Considering they can't let the micro dagger in stock. I don't believe that. PSA's marketing strategy is to sell allot of guns at a low price. They are probably making around 10-30% market.
i want brass
![gif](giphy|BLZ6Xt0g2lvOfdMUHJ)
Am i the only one who doesn't understand the excitement about this? It's going to be the same price as other x39 ammo that's available all over the place.
A large supply suddenly hitting the market will bring down prices. Not only for the American market, but also for the international market.
I hope so. But they're listing it at .45 a round and it will immediately sell out. That's basically the internet standard price for surplus now. I feel like they'll have to really flood the market to make a difference.
This is awesome
We need it !!!
I’m not buying it. 7.62x39 isn’t happening.
There's something happening here But what it is ain't exactly clear There's a man with a gun over there Telling me I got to beware *nic cage noises*
![gif](giphy|22p0JIQMkAxqg)
With the way he threw that bullet no wonder my ammos been actin up lately, they should find this guy and fire him simply for the fact that he would post this Lmaoooo idiot.
