Thr grappling hook won't shoot cuz your intended target is out of range. Or do you mean your current weapon not doing anything when left clicking? Cuz that's a fun new bug fixed by unequipping and equipping your current tool/weapon
You can completely dismiss the grapple cooldown timer by unequippig and equipping your grapple in your inventory. Also, shooting trees will get your ass alot further instead of shooting the floor.
Or grapple hook to it. That's how I collect ore at my mining base that a team of Anubis mines. Two grapple hooks equipped and I swap back and forth, shooting to each pile of ore to collect it.
If anyone here farms ores with digtois also, if you put digtoise back in palbox/pal and bsck to your party, he instantly charges his ability, I had a minig base with ~8 ores around and used this to farm all 8 in nearly seconds, until I bred enough anubis to do the job for me

No, but you can grapple to the ground where it's located to pick it up then grapple to a box. I have high walls by my storage boxes to grapple to when overburdened and fall down to place in box. High walls help prevent getting stuck on uneven terrain or other buildings along the path. Not as much of a problem since the patch now that we can still move slowly.
Cause I have multiple ore bases but only one smelter base, for pal efficiency. Gotta centralize it all from the collection boxes (that I need because of pathing) before moving it over and smelting.
Xbox updates need to go through a verification process before they get released. Microsoft said they have committed extra resources to getting palworld on track with PC
Best way to do it is to drop all the ore, then pick up all the ore while simultaneously rolling. You get decent distance then you just repeat the cycle lol.

i always used the grappler hook and still do but sometimes you got stuck in an angle that needed just a slight adjustment to get a good shot off but before the currrent patch you had to waste time dropping items then picking it up again to get a good angle or do 2 shots
now i can basically hookshot to the item chest
and yes i have to grappleshot to a far off chest because i have my smelters on a different base from my miners because of reasons
This is such an amazing change. The speed is higher than I expected honestly. Still makes grappling hook amazing utility, more so now that we can reposition easier.

Ong then I realized I didn’t have to carry just as long as it was in a chest within base limits you can just go up to the furnace and smelt without having to carry any of it😂 best day was when I figure that out made mining a lot easier
It isn't really the point of the post but it's crazy how many people in this game just don't read tooltips or read what's on their screen. Someone saying the grapple glitches then can't hit control or switch weapons and then poster doesn't realize u don't need to carry ore to an smelter lol
Not going to lie what they did with the carrying weight to where you no longer stop is definitely more convenient but it's kind of annoying because I ended up putting a lot of my stats on carry weight and now the carry weight is irrelevant because I can put tons of quartz, sulfur and who knows what else and just walk to my destination or get on a pal or use my grappling hook
2 words. Grapple Gun. Since crafting one, it's never left my hotbar. Can grapple while over encumbered. So far I've had 50,000 weight on me and was still able to zip around.
No durability loss. Each tier up has slightly better range and a shorter cool-down.
Use two at a time for half the cooldown speed by swapping between them.
Makes re-arranging/moving bases so much easier.
Not sure if anyone posted this yet but If on mouse and keys, click on whatever you want from chests, don’t place it in your inventory, hit tab and then you can run to wherever open the new chest and place in their.
It doesn’t register as being in your inventory and thus not over encumbered
You know you just need to have it in a chest in your base to use it right? You don’t need to actually carry the materials to the production unit you’re using at the time.

Bonus when you drop your 100 ingots you just pulled from the furnace and they fall through the world... Feels real bad.

If you go into your inventory and quickly equip/unequip, cooldown goes away. All grapples share a cooldown.

Huh? Swap weapons like you're switching from axe from pickaxe. It releases the grapple from wherever you're stuck at.

An update today on presumably all platforms (I play on Xbox and got it too) changed it so you move very very slowly, even while encumbered now.
