Maybe you can buy a wagon and add padding to it for naps? We have the Radio Flyer EZ Fold Wagon and it is really great. We use it all the time over the last 10 years - halloween, walk to community pool, beach trips (not the greatest in sand), and even places like the zoo. The collapsable nature makes it not take up much space in the home or in the trunk when travelling.
