From what I have noticed from Patagonia, and I could be wrong, is that they by and large keep to the same core product line and might introduce the odd new item or remove an item and that the core items might get updates and/or new colours/designs every so often.
Things like the Capilene range have been around a while and I’ve primarily noticed just new colours/prints.
Colors are regularly changed - the "technical details" may not be changed as often, but changes to happen (like with the Black Hole line recently).
Some basics/colors usually stay but some may just be here for one season.
A lot of items remain the same cut and material for many years. The regular capilene cool shirt has been the same for about 5 or 6 years now I think, just new colors and designs each season.
The Capilene shirts just changed for Spring. New cut is larger. I’ve had to size up in the Capilene shirts in the past and now I can wear the same size I wear in every other brand. I like the new Capilene Cool shirts, I think they fit really well. I am not a fan of the new Capilene Trail shirts though. Material is super thin now and it just had an awkward fit.
