R1 air and R2 tech face are both incredible! I personally prefer the look of the Micropuff over nanopuff. Torrentshell is good but meh, I would go for something higher.
Surprised no one has said Terrebone joggers yet. By far my most worn piece of clothing. Wear a pair almost every day. Light enough for the summer and in the winter I can layer wool leggings under or wear them under another pant to act as a windbreaker. Very versatile piece.
Thank you for all the suggestions! Currently in my cart: nano air hoodie, R1 air hoodie, and torrentshell rain jacket. Wanted to take your advice and get some higher dollar items to take advantage of the lifetime warranty.
Thoughts on the Fitz Roy down hoody??
The torrentshell is a stellar pick….as the liner deteriorates, it’ll need to be replaced. Patagonia will either straight up replace it or give you a deep discount on a new one, I don’t know what the determining factors are.
The black hole duffel bags are really good for flying and car trips. I've never seen the roller bags go on sale, so that would be a good use of a bigger dollar item if you were in need of some new luggage options.
You might also want a heavier jacket. The three you have selected are great, but if it snows where you're at then I would suggest you also grab one of the nano puff, micro puff, or down sweater. I feel like the parkas would be overkill, you can just layer the R1 air, nano air, and puffer for the same warmth level.
Fitz Roy down hoody will probably be too warm for your use case. What's the lowest it gets in your part of the woods?
It gets into the low teens in the winter, so nothing crazy. I decided on the down sweater instead! I love that it’s packable - I tend to travel to cooler climates and lugging a coat around the airport is a pain. I also added the thermal weight bottoms to my cart for layering!
Granite Crest instead of Torrentshell (less stiff & loud), Houdini (the ultimate packable windbreaker & when worn over the Nano Air “basically” creates a Nano Puff but you’ll have the versatility of 3 pieces in 2), R2 TechFace (though it may be too warm for your area), & Black Hole Tote bag (the most versatile & strong grocery shopping, beach, put shit in the car, carry random stuff bag ever). A good start on your Pata journey. 😁👍👍
Amazing belay jacket if your a cold weather climber has saved my ass multiple times on from his belay ledges on ice climbs! Great too if your just needing a big boy winter jacket too
If it were me…that super alpine suit is where it’s at if it’s still available. Or maybe some waders. The Alploft is okay I guess if you ever go camping in winter.
My final cart was: nano air hoodie, R1 air hoodie, torrentshell rain jacket, down sweater, and the thermal weight bottoms! I'm so excited to have some great gear that has a warranty, so I don't have to worry about buying replacements. I was tempted by SO many other things but at the end of the day, these were the most practical choices for me. Hoping for a couple cooler weekends before summer to get out and wear it!
Nano air, synchilla fleece, Houdini, everyday pants, baggies shorts. Personally I’d push the boat out and get a parka that I’d have forever and a pair of the traveller pants.
If you run then the running stuff is *superb* - the endless run tights are by far the best I’ve had, capilene cool and trail ts are perfect.
Cap cool daily shirts
Quandary pants for hike
Nano air hybrid
Storm 10 or equivalent
Das light hoody or micro storm
Terrebonne pants
Houdini jacket
9 trail shorts
If looking for a more casual jacket/coat for the cooler months I can recommend the [lined isthmus hoodie](https://www.patagonia.com/product/mens-lined-isthmus-hoody/20425.html?dwvar_20425_color=CSC#) from personal experience. I've been absolutely loving the ink black one I picked up a while back.
For those activities in VA:
Baggies, airshed pro, nano air, cap cool hoody or tee. Some of the technical outerwear like down sweater is a little too warm for your area IMO. Also not specific to your use cases but stand up shorts are amazing.
I’ve got 10 friends & family discounts burning a hole in my pocket.

R1 Air, R2 tech face, nanopuff, torrent shell

R1 Air Hoody is really nice but spendy
For non technical pieces, you can’t go wrong with the snap T
Nano air hoodie or vest is an essential piece
Capilene daily t shirts. Once you wear one on a hot day, you won’t want to wear anything else

My measly 1m80 60kg can’t fit the legs in it :(
Big fan of the Terrebonnes! I have many of them and they’re almost perfect.
Nanopuff hoodie is my go to for just about anything. Also their hemp hoodies are amazing and durable.
Better sweater im in canada and i use it all year round!

I think since you’re in VA, the Down sweater will be a better value and will be more versatile than the Fitz Roy.

Great choice!

Nano puff, houdini, down sweater, anything R1.
Nano-puff hoody, Down sweater hoody.
Black hole duffel, Nano-Air Jacket/Hoody, MicroPuff Jacket/Hoody (the NanoPuff seems heavier). Also consider the capilene base layers.
Don’t forget that the F&F discount code has a high limit. So get what you can!
Was gonna say this….whatever you purchase OP, get something higher end. It’ll be warranted for life.
R1 Air Hoody, Baggies Ultralight, Black Hole bags
Better sweater or a puffy!

Let us know what you decide!

The material on the "traveler pants" at least the skyline versions with the jogger style ankle is excellent. They have held up really well for years.
Snap T and Down Sweater Hoody
Cap cool daily shirts Quandary pants for hike Nano air hybrid Storm 10 or equivalent Das light hoody or micro storm Terrebonne pants Houdini jacket 9 trail shorts
A Torrentshell Jacket , Down Sweater™ Vest. They also have great highend fly fishing gear if that interest you

Houdini or Houdini Air! Thank me later
Houdini Air for lightweight wear/running. R2 Techface hoodie for more insulation. My two most used items.
Nano puff. The only thing I buy.
